analize701:Yes Just like Judas - "why cant the oil be sold for 300 thousand naira and give the money to the poor" one will think he had concern for the poor meanwhile he has hidden agenda. |

OkaiCorne:Was that Jesus' command? Ignoring the one of "less importance"? |

OkaiCorne:I'm very sure now that you have a problem with how you read the Bible. Giving to the Needy is giving. Tithe you Pay it. it's a debt you owe God. Just like you owe him Thanksgiving if he heals you from Cancer. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone. Matthew:23:23 Pls explain to me the bolded. OkaiCorne post=62898316Pls stop being Canal. This is appealing to emotions, it doesn't work with God. His word is Yes and Amen. Who says because you Pay tithe you should not help others? What kind of reasoning is this? How much is your tithe sef that you are making this kind of fuss? If you earn 1thousand naira, remove 100naira for God. Is that too much of a big deal? See oo. How many times have asked you this but you jumped? Is your problem with Paying Tithe or the manner of payment? pls answer me this time. |
| Re: Should I, As A Christian Pay Tithe? by OkaiCorne(m): 10:50pm On Dec 01, 2017 |
Jesusgirl92:Nope FOCUS more on weightier matters...there's way more to life than tithing- and that's assuming we are doing it as required of the scriptures. Jesus was repeatedly vocal on giving to the needy and less privileged How can you claim to love God and your neighbor...that you pay tithes and rather ignore your neighbor who is also created in the image of the very same God you claim to love to die in penury and need? Why must LOVE be sacrificed on the altar of Traditions for goodness sake? |
| Re: Should I, As A Christian Pay Tithe? by OkaiCorne(m): 10:52pm On Dec 01, 2017 |
analize701:I love this...based on tithe...it's a debt I owe God, but when I give to the widows and Orphans...AM I NOT LENDING TO GOD? IS GOD NOT OWING ME? Which one is better? Read your scriptures and be sure you are the one not having a problem understanding it... I'd rather God owes me than the other way around... |
| Re: Should I, As A Christian Pay Tithe? by analize701(op): 11:02pm On Dec 01, 2017 |
GoodMuyis:Exactly. After now, someone else will get up and begin shouting against offering, then later Church attendance. I feel for lazy Christians. The Muslims are paying their own version of Tithe (Zakat), which they use in sponsoring jihad all over the world, Daddy Freeze does not see that to call Islamic Clerics out. Satan in the details. |
| Re: Should I, As A Christian Pay Tithe? by OkaiCorne(m): 11:02pm On Dec 01, 2017 |
analize701:This is where you are getting it wrong. Your master gives you a list of things to do in order of importance. Everything is important, but definitely certain things are more important than others. Won't common sense tell you to deal with the most important issues first? and attend to less important issues later? |
| Re: Should I, As A Christian Pay Tithe? by OkaiCorne(m): 11:05pm On Dec 01, 2017 |
analize701:I guess Freeze should start criticizing Muslims, Bhuddists and every other religion under heaven...before we know there's God in the details right? See ehn...I advice you to calm down and let the TRUTH prevail over this matter. The TRUTH does not need anyone to fight for it...unless you have selfish motives on ground. Time would always vindicate the TRUTH! |
| Re: Should I, As A Christian Pay Tithe? by analize701(op): 11:06pm On Dec 01, 2017 |
OkaiCorne:I should go and search it out from the Bible by myself? See? No backings. I work with scriptures. Post me a Bible verse. |
| Re: Should I, As A Christian Pay Tithe? by Jesusgirl92(f): 11:08pm On Dec 01, 2017 |
Please explain something to me OkaiCorne.... You said that you'd rather do what Jesus authorized... Then you said you're NOT a Christian... I don't get, is possible to not be a Christian but do what Jesus' teaches?? |
| Re: Should I, As A Christian Pay Tithe? by analize701(op): 11:11pm On Dec 01, 2017 |
OkaiCorne:Who needs to calm down, you or I? lolzzzz. Satan has been fighting the truth from Eden. So, the Muslims using Zakat to sponsor terrorism to you is a noble act which Freeze doesn't need to talk about? But Christians shd stop paying Tithe which is used to run the Church? Let's keep going, small small, it's coming out. |

analize701:Matthew 25 vs 31-40 31 “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. 32 All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left. 34 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’ 37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ 40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ PLEASE HELP ME SEARCH FOR PAYMENT OF TRADITIONAL TITHES IN THERE Tithes doesn't feed God..it feeds the Priests...but the act of sacrificial giving touches the very Heart of God! |
| Re: Should I, As A Christian Pay Tithe? by analize701(op): 11:15pm On Dec 01, 2017 |
OkaiCorne:So, now as a Christian, Christ gave you a list of what to do, you by yourself determine the more important and less important items in the list and choose what to do and what to leave undone abi? Good and faithful servant you are. You are using common sense to follow YHWH. Very correct. |
| Re: Should I, As A Christian Pay Tithe? by OkaiCorne(m): 11:16pm On Dec 01, 2017 |
analize701:Going by this your logic, I guess Martin Luther was also evil for breaking out of the Catholic church so we wouldn't be paying penance (money) for the forgiveness of our sins. It seems you have a seething hatred for Muslims...I can see you displaying that in bits... |
| Re: Should I, As A Christian Pay Tithe? by OkaiCorne(m): 11:17pm On Dec 01, 2017 |
analize701:If you truly have the Holy Spirit...and you really study the word, the Holy Spirit would tell you which comes before which. It's not my choice...but by the leading of the Holy Spirit in conjunction with the scriptures. Do you understand? I also hope you are satisfied with the bible verse I gave you... |

| Re: Should I, As A Christian Pay Tithe? by OkaiCorne(m): 11:22pm On Dec 01, 2017 |
Jesusgirl92:I've moved on from Christianity. But I am following Jesus now more than ever. The church has made a disgusting religion from the TRUTH Jesus preached...and I am no longer a part of that. I also realized that those who did great things...walked closely with God with zero religion involved; Adam Jesus Abraham Enoch Job Jesus and many much more... I can no longer be comfortable in a group of blind and self-righteous people who think the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs...but yet, confusion and many conflicting doctrines reign supreme in their midst. |

| Re: Should I, As A Christian Pay Tithe? by OkaiCorne(m): 11:24pm On Dec 01, 2017 |
analize701:If what you are practising is Christianity and you think you are truly following Jesus...then I do not want to be a Christian. The only reason I go to Church is Jesus. Take away Jesus from the Church and I have no business being there... Are you really curious to know how I turned out this way? |
| Re: Should I, As A Christian Pay Tithe? by analize701(op): 11:24pm On Dec 01, 2017 |
OkaiCorne:Where is the Bible verse? The last time i checked, Jesus the master said, You do all, not doing some and leaving some undone. |
| Re: Should I, As A Christian Pay Tithe? by OkaiCorne(m): 11:27pm On Dec 01, 2017 |
Jesusgirl92:CNN newsreporter, I am a truthful person so I got nothing to deny. God has no allegiance to any religion under Heaven... hence, I need no allegiance to any religion to serve Him. God and Jesus is alright for me. I am no longer a part of any earthly institution that mixes TRUTH with lies to decieve people into doing the wrong things. Only the Serpent is the great deceiver. I am really afraid for the judgement coming for the Church, May God help you Christians... |

He keeps saying he's after "the truth"... The truth is staring at him right in the face but he prefers to do that which appeals to him.... I told him before and I'll say it again... OkaiCorne is just looking for what to argue about not the truth. |
| Re: Should I, As A Christian Pay Tithe? by OkaiCorne(m): 11:30pm On Dec 01, 2017 |
Jesusgirl92:I have clearly demonstrated to you through the Scriptures that Sacrificial giving carries more power and importance than "TITHING"... Why do you want to harden your heart to this TRUTH? I'm here for you all night long...you must swallow this bitter pill of TRUTH... |

| Re: Should I, As A Christian Pay Tithe? by analize701(op): 11:32pm On Dec 01, 2017 |
OkaiCorne:clap for yourself for this lame attempt as shifting the goal post. You want to begin to talk about the Catholic Church now? What has Luther got to do with my Op? And as for the Muslims, they pay Tithe too and higjer than i do, and theirs is used for war, yet you seems to be okay with it, but fiercely attack Christians for paying one hundred naira out of one thousand naira. Why this thing dey pain satan you sef no.sabi. Whatever satan fights, i do. because satan doesn't fight anything which has no God and potential in it. I'm a tither, but because of you guys, a may have to.increase my Tithe to 20% instead of 10. I don't only pay Tithe o, i pay First Fruit too. My first salary goes to God all, not a penny gets removed. Now, satan will have to kill himself here. |
| Re: Should I, As A Christian Pay Tithe? by OkaiCorne(m): 11:34pm On Dec 01, 2017 |
Jesusgirl92:I said so...since you had the urge to say so...and I have absolutely nothing to deny... Christians today are highly confused set of worshipers all claiming to serve one God and Jesus...and yet there are countless denominations with conflicting doctrines...You people keep saying it's a lifestyle and not a religion...but yet your actions betray your words... |
| Re: Should I, As A Christian Pay Tithe? by analize701(op): 11:35pm On Dec 01, 2017 |
OkaiCorne:Did you read the Matt 23:23 i posted you? You ignored it abi. lolzzzzz. You just posted a scripture which is out of context which will be used against you big time. You are in this picture, a goat. Disobedient, master less man who does as he pleases, not as the master demands. |
| Re: Should I, As A Christian Pay Tithe? by OkaiCorne(m): 11:36pm On Dec 01, 2017 |
analize701:My dear...God is not a dog that is hungry for 10% of your money. The Law says give 10% through tithes...but let me tell you this, meet your needs and give back the rest to God. So if the rest is 95% after meeting your needs...give it back to God through giving to the Church and sacrificial giving to Humanity... Can you operate by this standard set out by Jesus?...does Matthew 6 v 25 hold any importance to you? |
| Re: Should I, As A Christian Pay Tithe? by OkaiCorne(m): 11:37pm On Dec 01, 2017 |
analize701:Not paying a lesser important "tithe" now makes me a goat...but giving to the poor and needy even makes me a bigger goat right? Nice logic there... |
