chronique:I can see Ikoyi in the above post brother, so once like I have advised you, in Lagos not only do you pay for the location, you still pay in hundreds folds for the island locations ...this is how Lagos island has been nd would continue to be, wht do u think there are no hotels with rooms from less than 10k in victoria island ...cos you pay for the location ...come to other states bro and you shall see many many of these investments in these cheap rates as I have narrated ... I remember whilst I was a law student I asked a law firm in victoria island to help me incorporate a company they gave me a 800k quote lol something that cost less than 20k on reality plus transport money to the corporate affairs commision office..I'm sure they've been charging clients 800k in the past who go on telling everyone it cost 800k to incorporate a company name. So to hope you get my point now |

alexialin:This is why I advised the op to think outside the box. Does everyone have to start off building or buying land? ESPECIALLY now there are other options that can see you be able to put a roof over your head and at the same time generate income. |
| Re: Moving Back To Nigeria From USA by babaskool(m): 11:16pm On Dec 08, 2017 |
erico2k2:But the post only tells you how much they are selling it for, the post doesn't include how much he built it for, hope these are not filling station in Lagos ooo cos u Lagosians are kinda stupid sometimes you can buy anything for whatever price as if that same thing is not available everywhere else smh |
| Re: Moving Back To Nigeria From USA by Partnerbiz(m): 11:17pm On Dec 08, 2017 |
babaskool:This is alice in wonderland. 9 million to start a school, real estate or filling station. This shows you don't even have a smattering of what you are saying. So all filling stations make 400k per day? This is ludicrous. And that type of filling station can be set up with 9 million? Can 9 million secure a small portion in a good location? Or is it school? What type of school can 9 mil set up. Gosh! |

erico2k2:Challenge accepted pls copy these two persons to the convo, tell them I have a plot of land on a major road in the following areas in Ibadan for 500k -soka area, madomo, and layipo ... Bro do you think I came here to play or lie The license is expensive wht u do is you share with anothe station which has license to lift to sell to you preferably from another state so to NNPC u are the other station branch costs less than nothing ...some even load directly from other major filling depots ....so lifting license is a small issue |

| Re: Moving Back To Nigeria From USA by babaskool(m): 11:32pm On Dec 08, 2017 |
erico2k2:Hopefully you clear on where you get cheap land from now, a fuel dispenser costs a million naira each, as a lawyer I personally do C of O and other land agreements for 10 percent of the value of the land so that abt 50k to 100k You would need abt 100 bags of cement with two truckload of gravel and sand budget 300k maximum... So total is 500k plus our original 6.5mlion naira estimate so there is still much more of the 10 million naira left |

londoner:They don't want to renew house rent every year, Thats why they prefer to buy or build house. And also lands to build buisnesses. But such plans, alerts thieves or armed robbers, even kidnappers sef. Unless like what ericko2k2 said except if he has an angel with double edged swords then perfect, go ahead. ![]() |

abbij:This story sounds really sad. I don't mean to sound insensitive but it looks like most of your money was spent before you even were in Nigeria for 6 months. 75,000 dollars (£56,000)for two adults and two children including school fees, renting a house, shipping two cars etc. It sounds like it could have been planned better and I'm guessing from the fact that a job decided to 'stop paying' suggests it was not an international company. Also you mentioned you were the only one working at the beginning. The best thing would have been to sort out the UK immigration FIRST and perhaps apply for a British/ European company that operates in Nigeria, one that offered a relocation package which often includes accommodation and car plus driver. Maybe the timing was not right as it meant paying school fees for private school X2. Nigeria is at fault for the insecurity, yes but some of the fault you have to accept may have been yours at the crucial planning and gradually moving over stage. Still, I do sympathize with you. |

Come back and reign if you know what you are doing. Individuals cash out their millions daily. Plan, pray and belief, execute with all strength. Don't carry the I'm foreign mentality. In Nigeria "local lo gba owo". Mix your foreign with local you will succeed. There are many of your likes doing great stuffs. Tayo oviosu of Paga, Ifeoluwa of Grit, inioluwa of Andela just to mention a few. There is a job on linkedin for someone with your background. Connect with global career company, there is the move back to Nigeria network. |
