COMMENT ON NSE FOR THE WEEK ENDED 15 DECEMBER 2017

The week closed lower, but there is a good demand point at 36,562.00. The year is being rounded up, after next week Friday activities at the exchange may start declining in terms of total volume traded,

This is our time to start planning for next year. I believe we are already tightening our belt for safe landing of 2017 and positioning ourselves for 2018. We need to keep some cash around to take opportunity of some stock hitting the bottom. For example if Fidelity gets to NGN2.11 (this level has been on my chart since 7 November 2017).

For the MSCI fund, the fund seems to have finished their major investment campaign for this year, there is very little action from their end.

Call Veritas registrars. Without that it will not be uploaded. Call them till they pick. Monday will be a better time to call.

Also be ready to give them your address( the one you used to register either for dividend collection or for rights) because they will have lots of shareholders having your name, middle name and surname. So they use address to differentiate them.

You can go to another bank.
I have done like 7 in the past 3 months with FCMB and Diamond and I did not provide any number before the forms were uploaded.

I hope good people of this great forum will help me out this time around.
I have been trying to mandate my edividend form for more than a year now, but anytime I get to my bank, I was told that ETI is not in the section of companies found in gtl registrar of NIBSS portal, even the one of the bank staff who attended to me last in Access bank printed the screenshot for me.
When I tried sending it to GTL-Registrars I was told they don't have my signature specimen,
Please is there anyone that has been able to get it done through banks?

Should I move wapco for you guys

I have a feeling that the French guys has succeeded with their plans to significantly increase their control in LAFARGE. My reasons:
1. Sudden manipulation of their Q3 audit as unattractive (compared with previous Qs run rate) to make evryone see taking their rights as unwise.
2. Merging Ashaka shares with LAFARGE after the rights due date of 1st Nov. to keep Ashaka converted shareholders not to partake in the rights.
3. The sudden announcement of the rights start up. (on a weekend after business hours)
4. The short period of the rights which was never extended as predicted by many giving them room to accumulate all unattended rights.
5. LAFARGE parent company rights were converted with the debt owed by LAFARGE yet they continued to manipulate the stock on the floor to buy more of the stock/rights on the floor. etc.
Still waiting for the outcome of this game.

Lafarge parent company and her subsidiary currently own 72% of the company. If they succeed with their plans they may end up owning 90% of the company or more.

As per Ashaka cement, retail investors in Ashaka had been issued Lafarge Africa shares.

Lafarge currently own about 95% of Ashaka and I guess the company had been delisted.

If Lafarge succeeds with their plans they may end up delisting Lafarge Africa, time will tell.

I haven't to my right, but my stockbrokers said I can still buy once I paid before 12 noon on Friday 22nd December 2017.

Only contemplating the possibility of either buying the right plus additional rights, or buy the shares at a lower price on the floor.

The TA guys, what is the chart saying about Lafarge Africa shares.

I have a feeling that the stock should fly by or before March 2018.

My broker actually downloaded my right circular for me on Thursday, because he said Lafarge would shut down the site for the right by 12 midnight on 15th December 2017.

The right was not underwritten by the Issuing house, which was unusual for an offer of that magnitude ie N135 billion.

The parent company planned to take up any right offer not taken up by the owners.
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by emmanuelewumi(m): 3:54pm On Dec 17, 2017
Since I started trading on the Nigerian stock exchange, Lafarge Africa right is the largest right and public offering, it has the shortest duration ie just 3 weeks and no last minute extension of the right offer and also the most secretive.

Due to my observations, I made sure I took my rights immediately. The change in their auditors prior to Q3 may also be part of their plans as the previous auditor (for Q1 & Q2) may not have agreed to align with their motives for Q3. I will not be surprised if their Next result (Q4 or Q12018) is entirely different from this Q3. Anyway March/April will tell.
