There was a time people insult Muslims for keeping beard, there was a time people insult Muslims for wearing trousers above ankle, look around you we now have "beard-gang" and " short trouser wearing peeps "carrot" everywhere. This same hijab, you all will wear it in the name of fashion.

Lol, don't be surprised when you go back to wearing baggy and "clean-shave-gang" would be the next trend. That's what humans do, we change.

Bunch of f00ls is common law sharia law. The lady terrorist supposed to have studied shatia6law if she preferred to wear hijab. Is common law not given to us by our colonialist. So what is the fuse about.
I beg to say this most of our Muslims brothers and sisters are always ruled by sentiments and not by their conviction.
Is she the first Muslim girl that will be called to bar. If she refused to adhere strictly to the rules and regulations of the body that she believes she wants to be part of. Then she does not worth it.

You don't have to be a Muslim to see that this is a legitimate protest. Defending an adoption of western culture i.e Lawyers wig, rope and dressings, while criticizing an Islamic dress is a master piece of hypocrisy.
And using cellphone, card and other western gadgets are not adoption? Go and apply for international passport and see if you will not remove the hijab before taking pictures. Even Turkey with 90% Islam does not hijab anumore no thanks to suicide bombing being perpetrated with hijab.

waiting patiently to see the final decisions of the Law school and other stakeholders in respect to this subject matter. If yielded to this empty treat, then we shld just agreed that Nigeria is no longer a secular state, but an Islamic state. It sounds ridiculous and uncalled for that a religion group shld hold the entire country at ransom. I won't be surprised in no distant time, if Jehoval witnesses also decided not to obey the National anthems when been recited, since they also have thier human right. I feel bad, that i could share the same country with some of these extremists, who believe they could fight for God, we have many unending problems in the country, creating additional problems through unnecessary medium doesn't shows our loyalty as nationalists to this great country. We have invariably redefined what human right and right to religion really meant in this country, disobeying an existing order itself is tantamount to disobeying God.
One good thing about Jehovah witness is that they don't sing national anthem and thus, they don't participate in politics. So, you would not see them ranting that their rights are being deprived of them.

One bad thing about these extremists is that they are systematically and gradually changing all the rules of the land to ensure Islamisation of Nigeria. Laws that unite us together as a nation are being changed for them. We still have Arabic writings on our currency, our constitution supports sharia (Islamic) law, we have islamic states in Nigeria and people of other religions dwelling there are not treated fairly. Woe betides anyone that rants Islamophobia trash in my hearings. They know what they are doing but i trust the Most High that He will frustrates all their plans.

It is not a surprise to see comment coming out from a non Muslim like you people. You are all sentimental that's just it. What act have you all exhibited with your foul comments. Its equivalent to terrorist, racism and abuse. Allah will judge you all according to your comments. What are your mothers and sisters wearing?clothes they put on showing cleavages, lapses and almost their unclothedness and yet you celebrate them. Hijab gives respect.

You are just a slowpoke.

Your Arab conquerors made it compulsory for you to b bearing their names, wear their clothes, speak their language and you are still yet to realise that you are NOTHING but a slave of the Arabs.

There is nothing in your entire culture that the Arab world can even adopt into their own lifestyle. That is subtle domination and enslavement.

Hijab is not synonymous with purity or sainthood. If it was, Almajiris will not be littering the whole of core North.

This muslim body is been unfair..same as the young lady. This is the law.. and you knew this before taking up this course for crying out loud.

If she is granted her wish, the catholic nuns in the law profession would start requesting to have their veil and habit on together with the wig and gown. The sango worshippers would request to have their hair plated. Even celestial members would request to come to court barefooted.

Yes, just as I understand that Hijab is a way of life for a muslimah..so also is the above stated dressing for the relogions i mentioned above.

If all this is granted..what we'll have is chaos and anarchy.

I don't know what the koran says but the Christian bible urges us to respect the law of the land. Jesus also said- give unto Caesar that which is meant for Caesar.

People have a right to wear whatever they want, but they don't have a right
to violate an organisations code of conduct. I am aware of some companies
who would screen out a job applicant for keeping beard.
If you don't like the rules, do not join.

What happened to protest against corruption

Protest against boko haram

Protest against murderous fulani herdmen

Protest against child abuse and child trafficking

Protest against early marriage

Protest against rape.

I repeat, NSCIA is a useless jobless and mad association. Social ills abound and they are running after hijab.

I am sure NSCIA masterminded the drama to demonstrate their madness.

This is Alcatraz005, i deactivated some days ago but i just couldnt stay off so i had to do this thread. I would apologise in advance for the incoherent way the message will be typed as i dont the mental fortitude to keep my post prim and proper.

I just want to advice all christians, both the ones that have the means or those that dont have to start making arrangements to leave the country permanently. The past few days have been tough in the legal profession of which i am a member because of this Hijab issue and the muslims have put up a united front to ensure that they violently get their way on the issue. The sad news is that they would not stop at that. They would eventually ask for Sharia law in Nigeria. That is very sure. We Christians have lost it in this country and their is no going back from here as our leaders have failed us. Our leaders used our tithe monies to buy airplanes and build mansions while knowing that we have 50 million plus muslims in this country. Any country that has as much as 20 million as citizens is in trouble not to talk about almost 90 million muslims in Nigeria.

I specifically put the blame on Pastor E.A.Adeboye {I dont why i keep blaming him} for keeping quiet in the face of overt persecution of Nigerian christians. I accept responsibility as a yoruba man that we {Yorubas both christians and muslims alike} all voted Buhari in but Pastor Adeboye should have seen the danger of voting in an Islamic Fundamentalist like Buhari. Pastor Bosun Emmanuel specifically warned of of what will happen but we chose to sell our freedom for a Vice Presidential Seat. How Pitiful! I state it categorically that Pastor Yemi Osinbajo is a very nice man of very high intellectual capacity, but he is not suited for the post of Vice President in these times when the muslims have vowed to islamise the country. Pastor Adeboye has a man of God should have seen the handwriting on the wall and refused to lend this administration a pastor of the RCCG. God will eventually Judge us for our every deed.

The Americans and Israelis that voted in strong Presidents like Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu have done so to curtail the excesses of the muslims but the christians in Nigeria {Especially SW/Christians Christians} still think the muslims are joking with them....We shall see where that gets us.

In closing, will make the following statements of fact/predictions/advice on the future of Nigeria.

1. Firdaos Amosa {The law School girl} shall be called to the Nigerian bar irrespective of the illegality of doing so.

2.Sharia will become the State law in Nigeria in less than 30 years.

3. Buhari/Osinbajo will win the 2019 Presidential Polls with a land slide.

4. Igbos should in the name of God not abandon the biafra struggle.

5. Most Christians who have the money will flee the country in droves thereby robbing Nigeria of the much needed Human Resources.

6. The Christians in the SW who cant travel will convert to Islam.

7. Our Pastors would not raise the money to enable the Christian South free itself from the Northern/Muslim strangle hold.

8. The North will continue resisting any talks of restructuring because their aim is to capture the nation for islam.

9. Nigeria in the absence of Christian resistance will become an Islamic State.

10. The North/SW muslims will never allow Fayose to go anywhere near power as they know his capacity to disrupt their plans.

11. Nigeria will never be great.

If you have the money, i advise that you start making those plans to leave the country. For those who dont have, start saving and making plans today. Do not settle in Nigeria if you dont want to be a muslim.

Go pick up that IELTS manual and study hard like your life depends on it. This is a friendly advice. The only people that can reasonably resist {Igbos} are too disorganised {My apologies to all igbos.}
