If she's ur mother or sister, keep a long distance away from her.

If u care enough 2 put in d effort, hv a talk with her abt what triggers her temper. Then try as much as possible 2 avoid them. Hope she is not violent too sha. Dat one u hv 2 always watch ur back.

Anger shd be d last resort when it is clear dat d provocation is unbearable. Not a short temper that happens on every slight provocation.

That someone is short-tempered doesn't mean it happens on every provocation. To some people, they don't get angry at situations they should while to others; the second the situation warrants them expressing how they feel, they don't hesitate.

I'm short tempered but that doesn't mean I don't know how to manage my anger at every provocation 'cause I don't react to everything at all times. It may take me time to react but that doesn't mean the previous offences didn't get to me, I just know when to express my dissatisfaction. That I'm short tempered doesn't make me the devil 'cause there are those who would require a lot to be angered and when they do; you may never like the consequences. These are temperaments no one asked for.

so if it's a domestic violence situation, the partners shouldn't change but should be tolerated because they should be understood

You don't put an end to temperaments 'cause it's ingrained in you, you only manage it once you've realized where you fall. Try to make your comments void of insults.

The op wasn't even abt temperament. You introduced it so I'm clarifying it. Every temperament gets angry but of all, choleric anger are worst and dia anger (unlike other temperaments) are inspired by pride and domination. You can't say ure choleric and not have a proud and dominant attitude...that's where I'm hammering my points on. Every woman wants a man that's at least stronger-minded than her, now that you have d most domineering temperament, which higher one do you expect to find in ur man...none! It simply means ur husband will be so cool and u will be d dictator. The effects on ur children are countless.

So if in managing a choleric, you mean helping the fellow to freeze the burning coal that ignites before one can say Jack, fine. After all, we're plagued on every side by one weakness to the other. Of course, the most important thing is working to overcome it.

I've never heard of that. It's like saying once an introvert, now a complete extrovert. If an introvert decides to work his/her introversion and successfully transcends to an extrovert, there are usually signs of introversion in him/her.

Any condition could be managed, and that's why we have anger management classes but that someone thinks being angered is a crime is funny.

If I can't use temperaments to explain anger, what then am I supposed to use?. We're just going round circles 'cause you feel it's wrong to be short tempered whereas I see nothing wrong in it 'cause no one chose to be either short tempered or not. Being a choleric has it's advantages too which overweights the disadvantages.

You don't, you can offer support, find out if there's anything you can contribute by changing In a way that's acceptable to you, and share your feelings so you have disclosed honestly and calmly what upsets you about her behavior. It's fine to ask somebody for change, but not to handle people.
There are only two choices that you can make after that; one is, yes this works for me, I'm in, and the other is no this doesn't work for me and I'm out.
You can support change but if doing the things above doesn't work you are wasting your time because either the person thinks what you're asking of them is wrong and just refuses or doesn't really care about you enough to change. Hint, talk about what you need not what they're doing wrong ask nicely and approach them in private at a time when they're ready to listen.

You should work on it. Those predisposed to aggression act on anger rather than aggression but it might be only a matter of time before they turned violent.

Don't expect anyone to cope with your short temper. It is your problem to manage. There are a lot of anger management tips on the net.

Lastly, supposing your spouse understands you, what about your kids. Would you expect them to understand you or would you go the extra mile to work on the
issue?

It has nothing to do with being sexually satisfied or not.

The short-tempered woman has a lot of work to do, especially if she has those triggering combination of genes.
