The wife can drop very subtle hints like wear a very sexually appealing nightgown whenever she's in the mood.
She shouls make herself irresistible.

Then the husband can also learn to tease her into asking. He should do this in a playful way. He could smack her bum bum and say teasingly, "teasingly, you don't like asking. Learn to ask dear I love you!".
