That is the right attitude, different strokes for different folks. If tithes works for you, by Jove pay your tithes peacefully, but it is wrong criminalizing non tithers and threatening them with curses, fire and brimstone.

The Catholic Church survived and prospered for over 1800 years without tithes, the Ethiopian Church survived longer without tithes, numerous orthodox churches prospered for centuries without tithes. The first churches in Nigeria prospered, built churches, schools, hospitals etc, for free without tithes and Nigerian Churches now making tithes the basis of their existence.

Tithe is not negotiable though is a choice.

Giving to the poor is not giving to the beggars either but the widows, the less privilege in your community before you give to outside.

The bible itself from Genesis to revelation is for Christians. Jesus never kicked against tithing either. Study the bible verses I gave and see for yourself. It is easy to say Malachi isn't for Christians but Exodus 20:1 -17 are for Christians.

" All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right."( 2 Tim 3:16). It didn't say some scriptures but all. There is reason why put those chapters in the bible. They are not there for decoration

Please if you are really passionate about tithing. Kindly tell us how you pay your tithes. 10% of what exactly?

Don't be ignorant was justice, faith and love prescribed for new testament lifestyle or only for the Pharisees? Did they even practice it? What is the meaning of weightier matters? What's the difference between TITHE and ALMS.

You still don't understand...Jesus was discussing matters of the Law (Old Covenant) with the Pharisees.

The burdens of the Law no longer concerns you as Jesus has fulfilled every bit of them by dying on the cross and giving you a new covenant after fulfilling the old one.

To understand this better go and read Acts 15 and get some enlightenment.

Also focus on the teachings of Jesus to His followers (definitely not the Pharisees) while He was alive. Kindly show me if He expressly mentioned tithing in any of his sermons or parables as a mandatory way of giving to please God. Instead, read up what he preached about separating the sheeps from the goats as per Matthew 25 v 31-46
