I believe friend zone is when you ask someone out or for a relationship and they tell you "you're more like a friend to me" or "I only see you as a friend".

This happens irrespective of whether sex is involved or not.

Nah. I finally understood why he friend zoned me. Our spiritual beliefs were tooooooo different.

The closest I have come to being FZed was this guy years back. He was all macho, intelligent and cute...everything nice.


I remember the day he came to give me something and heck, he came with his gf. He introduced me as his "new friend", I got the message. It was in the night, she was with this big bag and I knew what it meant...TDB.

The thought of him hanging her leg for burglary proof abi cupboard, just commot the crush for my eye. He was not even online that night. He took me to the movies months later, he/we got all mushy and we tried to kiss. Something that would have initially set me on fire, seemed disgusting. I just told him, "let's not complicate this, I chose the FZ" and that's how I remained there for years.
