The score took me below 400.
I was on 430 for a short time with my first result LRWS - 8.5,8,7.5,8 but that one expired late last year. I need to get back in the pool ASAP.

I really don't want to be the pessimistic one but I think you should know this. That is if you haven't paid for the new IELTS you just registered for yesterday.

You need to calm down. I thought your score was like in the 440s with the way you are rushing this IELTS. Before draws reach 430s it will be April. That is if CIC maintains 2750 ITAs and at least biweekly to three weeks draw. You rushed and booked Jan 6th and when you couldn't find Lagos, you picked Ibadan. Now you've rushed and booked Feb 1st. Which is in less than 2 weeks?
Anyway my point and advice to anyone considering retaking IELTS is to give yourself at least 3-4 weeks to take the next one. You are approaching IELTS like its a game of roulette. And it's not. IELTS is a trick test. So people fail it not because they didn't listen well or read well, but because they had no strategy on how to overcome it. Of course God's favor too, but God crowns our efforts.

You should take out time and identify what your weak parts/sections are and devise a strategy to improve on there. You are already in the pool so tie breaking rule is not your problem. Na this same rush rush you take they tell people to jump enter pool last year anyhow anyhow. grin
You need to breatheeee and relax. You have time. Well except your birthday is in a few months and you'll lose 5 points. All the same you had a previous IELTS result that you held onto for 2 years, and for some reason you didn't use it till recently. You didn't die did you? Now you are rushing like there's a hit out on your head. My advice before you even start getting your adrenaline pumped again for Feb 1st, ask yourself, are you ready? Throwing 68K x 3 is not beans. And you don't want to make it x 4.

All the best.

Please i need clarification onvthis ielts. I and my wife want to take it. My question is why must we target 8777 score.

You can surely target higher but this minimum scores will get you a reasonable CRS, if someone gets a 7.5 in listening for instance, that person's score will most likely be under 400 and they will need to retake the test.So aim for minimum of 8 in listening, and then 7 each for reading, writing and Speaking. If you need more points aim for 8.5,8,7.5,7.5 in L,R,S,W (in that order) that will give u maximum points attainable from IELTS

Yes, you can combine different NOCs (A, B or 0) but you must have at least one year of continuous full-time (or an equal amount of continuous part-time) paid work experience in your primary NOC.
Thanks I appreciate

Hello,

My husband is the principal applicant, and we are in the process of renewing his passport, can we dive into the pool with the old passport while we wait for the new passport?(it expires by June 2018) Will we be able to change it easily before ITA? Or we should just wait for the new passport then enter the pool?

I changed my passport between EE Profile and PR Application as the old passport was going to expire before the PR application could be completed. I used my old passport to start the EE application, then got a new passport and when I got ITA, I used the new one. I just explained the change in my LOE and had no issues. At least its been approved now. Like I explained earlier, even my wife used two different passports. One with maiden name for EE and one with married name after ITA. We never got any ADR for that.

Just explain in your LOE and attach scanned copies of both passports as your travel documents. Plus note that new passport has a row showing the Old passport number

Hello I wrote my IELTS on 9th November 2018,all scores were okay (8.5,8,7.5)except for writing 6.5. I have been so angry when I found out about BC scam. Plan to go on Monday to request a remark of writing. What's your opinion?

Same thing happened to me for the reading. I went through it the second time. I could have bet with my car (although I don't even have one yet grin grin) that I will have a 9. Result showed and I saw 7.5.

No be BC again? Relax bro and expect the best. Cheers!

Dear good people, please I need your advise. I did a course sometime ago but was not issued a certificate as it was a credits only course. The school is willing to send transcript for ECA and also issue a 'to whom it may concern' letter, stating the times I completed the programme and also explain non-issuance of certificate. My question is: can I evaluate this with my BSc and get crs scores for 'two or more certificates'?
All responses are appreciated.

Just to say a big thank you to everyone that contributed to this forum. My family (Husband, wife and child) started this journey in September 2016, and the forum was very instrumental to our success.

To everyone that has just started or is planning to start, please don't waste your money on consultants. Read, Read and again read. All the information you need is here. Join the various whats app groups and in no time, you'll be an expert.

FAQS:
1. We changed our passports during the process, i.e. different passports for EE and PR application. Wifey even changed her name from maiden to married. We explained in LOE and no issues.

2. I changed NOCS between EE and PR application (after ITA). Again, no issues, just explain with LOE and you should be fine.

3. We paid all Application and COPR fees upfront as recommended. (not compulsory though)

4. We uploaded all IQAS and IELTS (did not want stories that touch)

5. POF was savings account

6. We have had visa rejections before, so no issues there

7. We used our childs US passport. Visa will not be issued on approval but child will get COPR

Will update if i think of any other thing

Thanks and peace out

Congratulations,

Please I would like to ask a questions because looks like we are the same family size

1. Did you both write and make use of the IELTS or just the P.A's?

2. Did you declare the exact required POF?, If yes, how much?

I will be glad to get a response on this soon. Thanks

There shouldn't be any problems with affiliation of institutions to others. The awarding institution in your case should be OAU and they're the ones who'd process and send the transcript. Personally, I've helped folks from Yabatech (a UNN affiliate) successfully process theirs within days. Go ahead and request again without fear bro.
Here is the attachment of the reply they gave me. Which OAU can't give me transcript because I don't have any of my information in oau everything is in adeyemi it's just that the school is affiliated that's all

Hello people. I'm about to start this EE process but I have some questions on my mind that I would need your help with.

The first one is that I studied in the UK for my masters between 2013-2014 and during the course of my study I had to do a background check for work. My question is that can I still use it now as my police report?

The second one is that I am single now but I'll be getting married later this year by God's grace and I'm really interested in getting my PR now but my fiance is not so keen on it. Is it possible to get my PR and then file for him when we get married? Thanks for your anticipated response

Yes, we both wrote IELTS and did ECA for our credentials. I as the PA claimed points from my wife's IELTS and ECA

We declared POF for a family of 3, i think about 18k3 CAD or thereabout. The money was not fully covered by the naira in my savings account due to exchange rate, so we used our Pension fund statement (both of us). With the allowed 25%, it was more than enough to cover the requirement. You can obtain a letter in that regards from any office of your registered PFA

I might be wrong but I believe those PCCs are only valid for 6 months.

As regards your Fiance, I recommend you start the process and use your fiance as Dependent. You'll have to do all the work, but as long as they are willing to give you documents, do medicals, Police report and take passport when the time comes, they don't have to lift a finger. Whether your fiance will agree to follow you to Canada when the time comes however...............

Good evening guys. I have a question that has been bothering me. My wife has 8, 9, 8.5, 8 in LRWS while I have 7.5,8.5,7.5,7.5 in LRWS. She's the PA. The CRS score 472. Since I'm not the PA, do I need to rewrite IELTS considering the fact that I am not the PA and our CRS is okay? Please, enlighten me.

I would suggest you go for a remark in your listening if you have the resources. There is still a good chance ur listening will be upgraded. It's possible that BC is overwhelmed such that only one examiner marks the script instead of 2 and this leaves room for errors. My opinion though.

You don't need to rewrite since you are not the PA. Your wife's score is more than enough to get you guys ITA.
