The yabbing and shouting from all sides got the driver more confused and, he kept on his drive-and-stop game while the car kept over heating.
People from other cars and passers-by were looking at us like, nor be these people one die for free so, abi dem blind ni.
All those while the other passengers were shouting at the driver, i kept quiet cos i sat close to the door(strategic position) lol.

I kept my cool cos i believed the driver is conscious of his own safety, i believed he had a wife and maybe children at home and at such, it would be risky gambling with his life by not parking the car for the over heated car to cool off.

I nor kukuma talk o cos, if e cast or worse comes to worse na to fly the window com outside sure for me o.

After much much, the driver managed to drive out of the middle of the road and
parked somewhere beside the road and we all came down from the car.
When we came down, the driver tried to open the bonnet but it didn't open o (see gobe!)
He made several attempts to open the bonnet but all efforts were wasted and all the attempts were futile (nothing came out)
After much wasted time and efforts, the driver decided to go and look for a panel-beater to open the bonnet of the car.

" see the kine scrab wey you tey dey work sef" the boy that sat beside said, while he referred to the car.
" who tell you say na scrab? Motor wey i don take go 1 trip dis morning na im you dey call scrab, na the go-slow make the motor over heat, nor be say na anything o, i neva experience dis kine tin before o" the driver replied.
" so you know say your motor no good, you nor fit repair am before you carry am enta road abi, na so ona go dey use people life take dey play, all ona sabi na money," the woman among us fired at the driver and i laughed cos i knew the woman was taking shots at the him cos of the way he shunned her when she told him about the car's brake pad burning. (pepper eye tins!)

The driver pretended he didn't hear what the woman said as he crossed to the other side of the road in search of a panel-beater.

Na so the driver tey delay us o, he us tey stand under the hot sun all in the name of make i go find panel-beater come.
20mins don pass and the driver neva stil show up o, na there the other 2 guys wey all of us enta the car, say dem nor go fit wait for the driver again, say na to go find anoda cab enta go Oghara sure pass cos time dey go and Matric party go soon close.

Omo, as i hear dat word ehn, na once cold catch me, i weak! Body con do me like say fever dey worry me because, na only me don give driver money among us, na me give am money wey he take settle ticket people for park.

Now everybody wan discharge leave only me for this place,' i complained in my mind.
See, i would have left the money with the driver to look for another cab o but, i can't leave those drinks i kept in the booth na, E nor go work!

After what seems like 5yrs in my eyes, the driver finally came with a panel beater and as i saw him, i felt relieved.
(na once my mind com down) lol.

"abeg make ona no vex, na panel-beater i dey waka dey find since o," the driver replied.

The panel beater got to work immediately and after some time, he said the cord abi hook of the bonnet is broken, something like dat, thats why its not opening.
From the look of things,i observed that its going to take some time to fix it.

The woman among us gave the driver 100naira before she left urging us to do same to prevent the driver from loss.

After the woman left, the 2 girls came back from the road-side to pay the driver their compensation dues of 100naira each to support his ministry before they went back to search for another cab.
Meanwhile, the other guy and i stood close to the driver out of pity for him, waiting hopefully for the panel-beater to open the bonnet and fix things so that we could continue our journey but, the panel-beater didn't show any sign of improvement and the other 2 guys paid the driver their compensation fees as they got set to leave.

Nor be say to waka leave the driver hard us o, but in the spirit of brother-man help brother-brother, we just dey wait small weda the panel-beater go fix the motor sharply, so that the driver go carry us make he fit see money tey hold im body n soul together.

As he was searching his pocket, looking for change to give me, a Hilux(car) stopped for the 2 girls (my co-passengers) that had been signalling cars under the hot sun without getting discouraged.

Immediately the hilux stopped, the girls rushed inside, and the other guys that just paid their dues ran towards the hilux.
Omo, as i sight them dey tear race follow the hilux ehn, na once my i get high spirit o.
'driver give me my money na, if dat hilux go leave me ehn, i fit swear for you o, abeg com open the booth make i carry my tins' i said to the driver as i ran towards the booth of the car.
"oboy take am easy o, nor go fall o" the driver said while he laughed and opened the booth.

Immediately he opened the booth, i carried the drinks and ran towards the hilux as if i was been chased by a bull-dog, the way i ran ehn, people that stood on the way cleared way for me while looking behind to see if anything was chasing me.

To me, the hilux was God sent cos, in a road where almost all the vehicles were occupied and the less occupied ones don't want to help then, a hilux finally showed up in the hold-up and i have to run up to meet it up (you dey feel my rhymes abi).
It felt like a miracle something o cos i didn't experrerit!

I took the race personal cos from where the former car i entered parked, i wouldn't had been able go back to the park to get cos of the hold-up.
Then i con manage see one motor wey go carry me go my destination after i don stand under hot sun tire, tell me why i nor go run like that? I ran as if my life depended on getting into the hilux o (nor too blame me, na situation cos am) lol.

I finally Usain Bolted to where the hilux was. Sorry, i mean, i finally ran to where the hilux stopped, thanks to the hold up.
When i got close to it, i discovered that it was already occupied.

I was really frustrated cos i just wasted my energy running for nothing, that kind of race i ran could have won me an Olympic medal (no be joke o).
I was about going back to look for a shade to relax my head when one of the girls from inside said, "come inside now, come let somebody lap you cos, if you go back there, you might not get another car."
I felt releived when i heard those words, i would have hugged her and gave her a peck for saving a life but i kept my cool, naso body just dey sweet me anyhow, joy full my body sugar factory.
