Non of my bids was successful today because I put price limit. Must I always buy at open market price? Please House, enlighten me.
Methinks that fixing price limits for brokers is only useful for jijoing.
Why fix price limits when you were desperate to buy? It is like trying to bargain transport fare with drivers on a day passengers are very plenty and vehicles are extremely scarce. You'll sleep at the bus top.

These 3 have been running at the same pace for the past 6 months.

It's audited financial statement that will separate this their harmony.

Fbnh, Fcmb and Diamond.

Lol.. that's one way to look at it.

But the way bids and offers disappear in this our market, you have to be careful not to go and carry last.

FCMB is being managed for purposes of badly needed equity capital. The problem here is they have picked on Diamond Bank as their support price; I. E. Our price must be higher than Diamond bank no matter what.

A lot of money is being pumped to get the stock to at least N5 and hold. FCMB will be among the last banks to release 2017 result while it perfects its share price spike . Enough said.

It was as if I was the one causing all these bear market since last week, because, the moment I sold off my my potfolio, all the stocks skyrocketed. I'm having a problem buying them back right now. Please house, pray for me.

It and FBNH are usually late because of holding company structure. But if you say it's for manipulation sake, I can't also argue.

The experts of JIJO are at work....they read human psychology expertly. I think they opened the window today for some to escape but many refused. I may be wrong though....let's enjoy the weekend and look forward to Monday with belief that however it goes.....LIFE CONTINUES.

Stay safe grin

I think its a case of knowing exactly when and how to use price limit.
Before using a limit price to key in ur trade, its very important u understand the trend, previous supply/demand dynamics, and the said select stock current opening price. ...this way, u would know what range of price to put ur fixed limit on, based on a 5-10% discount. (...going by the present NSE rule, different categories of coys can gain/lose btw a 5-10% trading band at different volume blocks in a given market day).
...I think the problem is with the fact that u probably entered ur limit entry price based on the choice stock previous closing price instead of their opening prices for the day.
To illustrate, Dangote Sugar closed at N22.01 yesterday but opened at N23.11 today.
...and so if u compute ur limit entry over yesterdays price, then ur buy mandate would simply amount to futility. (...unless of course in rare cases of cross deals).
This was simply why u could not buy DS at N20 (as u had initially told us here) even when the said stock was on full offer for the most part of today's market.
...because even a 10% discount from DS opening price of N23.11 would still be above ur limit price of N20.
This may also be why u could'nt buy ur other coys too. ...who knows.

Hope this helps u in ur limit entries going forward.

My 2 cents.

Good day house.
Please I need help to a few questions.
I do more of TBills, and about to divest to Stocks and MMF.
My risk appetite is a bit low since this fund is a family money which I had ran for 3years at minimum of 12% per annum.
Could holding good stocks for a few months give a 20% profit?
My target is keeping it at 20% per annum.
Is stocks the best for me, or MMFs?

Please Sir. Stick to what you have been good at. Stock market is volatile. Your motive is also suspect. You are looking for quick returns. Although it may come in quick succession but are you prepared if you lose your capital.

I don't know if you are a beginner. Regardless you are learning valuable lessons that will be VERY HELPFUL to you in the years ahead. Take time to note what is happening to you and the emotions that drive your buy/sell actions.
