Do people really think his curses, which are at odds with the teachings of Jesus in the gospels about blessing your enemies, are effective? He has decreed death on so many groups of bad people; how many of them have died, though? (a honest question)
Jesus Christ would have pampered those he chased out of the synagogue who were busy buying and selling instead of sending them packing as he did. In the same vein, as you rain blessings on your enemey, it's still the same as cursing them because the blessings will turn to curses. Nigerians have prayed for repentance of the ritualists in the past. But they are hardened and unrepentant the more. What they now deserve is the opposite. Back to your question. The wicked may not die immediately. They die gradually so they could have a taste of God's punishment while here on earth. Look at our politicians who have stolen our money in the past. I won't mention names here. We can see what has been befalling them already. Most of them have terminal diseases too, while some live on implants and pace makers. Is that a life? Meanwhile, the poor live healty and much stronger, with long life. I heard of a former leader in this country who now walks on motorised cruches. You cannot see him in the media anymore. His 2 limbs have since been cut off. Now tell me, are they not all dying gradually? remember the bible says the wicked will not go unpunished.

I don't think you'll think this way if a relative of yours had been victim to ritual killings...and why do you most times use the name of Jesus in your arguments when you don't believe in Him? I believe there's a word for that...

Does that mean robbers don't pay tithes and offerings in Church or do thanksgiving?

Use your number six. Not every wealth you see is clean and your pastors don't realize this.
If the church is suppose to detect how a money was earned, how then do others like beggars detect clean or unclean money? The example of cain and abel puts your daft argument to the sword. One sacrifice was reject in heaven and the other accepted but both were given physically. You are asking pastors to play Gods role.
The funniest part is that if the same church ask members to maintain tithe booklet that can help keep track of who pays what you guys shout. Use your brain more often and stop being emotional.

Jesus' disciples had a sword for self-defense. I stand with it till tomorrow, those who kill the defenseless for rituals deserve nothing but death. I'm ready to be an executor

His Disciples actually did have a sword for self defense not Jesus himself, the same person who was struck on the ear..Jesus later healed. Jesus told peter he shouldn't have bothered cause He had the power to either free Himself or destroyed those who cane after Him(read the whole account carefully). All these was geared towards that scriptures might be fulfilled which was that Christ Had to die compulsory for the sins of mankind. that mankind would be reconciled back to the God. Jesus had to pay the penalty of sins for mankind. Thank God that he died for the World.
This is Love in expression, Jesus dying for undeserving sinners like you, me and even the unrepentant ritual killer who has purposed in his heart to kill all His life for money. This does not change the fact that if He should accept Jesus Christ has His Lord and saviour He won't be saved. He definitely will because Christ actually had paid for His sins on the cross.
I would to God that you would understand the Gravity of the Gods grace and His Love. It goes beyond human comprehension it beyond our comprehension. He does not see us the way we see one another from a wordly point of view, He sees us as one deserving of his mercy and forgiveness. This is actually my point Read Rom5, II Cor 5, Ephesians 1,2, Col 1,2. IIPt 3:9, IJn 4

His job there is to pray and not to make it to come into fulfillment, that's GOD'S job to do.
The bible says "ask and it shall be given unto you". Matthew 7:7. It didn't say; ask and answer it yourself rather it says ask and it shall be given unto you, in other words ask and I will answer you in other words GOD is saying, your job is to ask, mine is to answer, so it is not his (oyedepo) part to fulfill what he asked rather it is GOD'S part and job.

The Bible also say; "whatsoever ye ask the father in my name, believe, you shall receive it". That passage says it all. A Christian part is to pray and believe while answering it is GOD'S part is to answer so far the one praying has faith as recorded in Mark 11:23, then his or her prayer will be answered.

So in essence, it is not oyedepo's part or job to answer or fulfill his prayer rather that's GOD'S job. His (oyedepo) part is to pray and believe which he has done, answering or fulfilling it is GOD'S, okay.

So he (oyedepo) has done his part which is to pray and have faith, now it GOD'S part or job that's remaining.

Did Jesus command us to curse our enemies

I am a believer, i believe in the bible as much as you do, but i will never be against man of God praying for the death against ritual killers, if they dont repent, let Gods wrath befall them IJN
Men of God don't pray for the death of sinners, they pray for their repentance.

"The Son of man didn't come for the healthy, but for the sick."

"Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance"

Anyone who prays for the death of another human is not a Christian so therefore the person can't be a man of God.

What's the difference between what Oyedepo just did and Ezemmuo does in his shrine?

Ritual killings would not be happening if people didn’t believe that they actually work. Pastors are guilty of enabling this false belief.

Why do we Africans take so much delight in death of others... First the ritual killers taking lives with no mercy and now a pastor praying for the death of the killers...No matter the degree of pain ur enemy causes you, never wish him dead but instead intercede on his behalf so that he gets a change of mind so together we can make heaven.

I recently engaged in an offline argument about the efficacy of rituals, effectively exposing the fraud that it is. Many fail to understand that the "money ritual" craze is more of a trade (buying and selling) than a spiritual hullabaloo.

Like you rightly stated, if a majority of the population actually knew that it doesn't work, they'll be lesser incidents.

But then, we live in an extremely superstitious society that isn't made any better by the uproar of religion.

yea it does. Jesus asked us to pray for our enemies not the wicked. An enemy is someone with contrary ideology with you,it might be just conflict or even mere disagreement but not those deliberately doing evil. The holy spirit is on earth to judge the wicked

Nigerians should stop all these useless prayers that availeth nothing . This is not what prayers are meant for. What we need is serious government action.
