ok...

i read that Ontario provincial nomination invited people with 400+ last month. How does provincial nomination work? And what province has the best testimonials? should i be considerin that while I prepare for another IELTS?

Pretty much everyone has said the same thing to you. Go and rewrite IELTS. Forget about provincial nomination. This is why:

1) do you have a spare $1500 to give Ontario to nominate you? And they could refuse your application meaning that 1500K na waste.

2) do you have a spare 6 months to chill and wait for Ontario to process your application or even find you eligible to send you NOI? In that time you could have written IELTS 9 times ( grin) and jejely entered the pool and even have ITA

3) do you have an additional spare 6 months when you eventually get nominated and ITA on top of the other 6 months to wait for Federal to decide on your application?

My dear, Biko go and pay the 68k or 75k for another IELTS. PNP is for people who don't have options to increase their score. You have options. Exhaust them! And please read page zero of this thread and the CIC website to fully understand this process coz it seems like you're winging it.

Plss educate me, I am 30 years old. My husband is 33 . We both took d IELTS- general exam. I had S 7, W 5.5, R 6 and L 6.5 while my husband had S 7, W 5.5, R 6 and L 6.5. He said we can put in for Provincial Nomination. We both have Masters n works of experience. Wat do we do.
Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program-Connect Here Part 3 by happytbaby: 2:39pm On Feb 23, 2018
Let me make an attempt.

1. I guess you can use WES, make sure you go to WES Canada. Evaluation of the foreign degree is likely to be faster but you need both.

2. You will get the reference number when you have created your profile on WES and paid.

3. It does not matter which one gets there first, from your profile, they will know what to expect.

It can be very challenging. You are better off been the PA because of your age and MSc. But I suggest you rewrite IELTS and aim for at least L=8,R=7,W=7,S=7, as it's a cheaper route than going for PNP.
If only you can rewrite and get the above score, your points will rise to 459. ITA is guranteed and PPR can be obtained in no time. So going thru PNP is a waste of time for your own case.

My 2cents.

Eilenora:
so guys pls i need advise here:

My scores:

L 7.5
R 8.0
W 6.5
S 8.5

HUBBY'S SCORES:

L: 7.0
R: 6.5
W: 7.0
S: 8.5

scores right now with these results: 415, with me being principal applicant. with Hubby being the applicant its 401.

I have read that usually remarks are not more than .5 marks higher right. So if I request for a re-mark, and my scores change to 7 in writing, our score increases to 422, using hubby's current result.

I am thinking that I ask for a remark while hubby takes the exam again, so he scores higher, while my writing is hopefully bumped to 7. invariably, we score a much higher mark. The other alternative is for both of us to re-write the exam. Another fear is what if they mark downwards instead of upwards as I am hoping? Does that ever happen?

I have also read that during the period of remark which is about 8weeks, you are not allowed to use the results. this means that we cant even get into the pool till the remarking is completed. any chances of d draws dropping to 415 in 2 months? Apparently last year it dropped to 413-415 around May...

What do you guys think? Trying to weigh all my options

Yoy may actually need to calculate your CRS points well coz I dont think any of you can have up to 415 or 422 with those results above without an 8 in any of your listening even with a Master degree.

PNP. LOL The way people are calling PNP here ehn, you would think it was easier. Please educate yourself concerning PNP. See official PNP thread below.
https://www.nairaland.com/4180147/all-canadian-provincial-nominee-programs

At a point, I also thought about going down the PNP route due to sheer frustration, then i went to that thread and began to read. I quickly realized i was better off being patient under FSW for some more months until certain things clicked for me. Every man's case is not the same though. My tale may not be your tale so go and read about PNP and see if that is the best route for you and your family.

If anyone has age on their side and has the opportunity to rewrite IELTS and max out their score, then no need rushing for the PNP route. I learnt something a while back on this thread; patience with the process.

My Dear solad5159, Consider the above... I would advise you to rewrite IELTS... at 30 years, if you could get the minimum of 8777 (LSRW) in your IELTS, you will be like a mango, rip enough and ready for ITA

Guys, please where and when do I apply for medicals?
I can't find anywhere on the application asking for medicals.
I would like to do the medicals next week.

NB: I am yet to submit my ITA application.

Good day house

Please if there is any change in your result after eor, will they update it on there online platform for checking result as well?

Because i sent my January 20th result for remarking and today i got email that my result has been return after two weeks and when i checked online this morning the result is the same as it was before. Does that means no upgrade or what?

Please help with what might be the issue?

Ha bros calm down now! You are even pre ITA and you are asking for medicals? calm down now, step by step biko. You can do medicals now but it will be counterproductive, as you would have done it earlier for nothing. It is required after AOR (after you have been given ITA and have officially applied for PR).

Thinking aloud, and asking for advice.
With LWRS 8777 in IELTS for both of us combined with WES evaluation, CRS is 431 undecided undecided.... will this draw still come down? Hmmmm

you are good to go then, this week's cut off mark was 442 (and will go lower in further draws it is assumed), so that is cutting very close to your stimulated score. However check that you occupation falls within NOC 0, A or B. Also study and max out IELTS to keep the high score
