My Dear Brethren,

Getting PPR or having your Passport stamped and CoPR at hand is not the end of this Journey.

Frankly, It might just jolly well be the beginning.

Hmmm. What's the story behind this assertion, care to share?

Please I have a question about the travel history form.

Lets say I'm currently residing in the UK, and have made many trips to Nigeria, Australia, China and back to the UK. I only need to reflect the trips to China and Australia on the form right? (because it says to include trips made outside of country of residence and origin).

Please my good people any help with this will be appreciated

There should be an expected completion date in your account when everything is finished.

Bless that poster...Nkwobi money this Friday is set grin grin

...in other news, can we expect a draw today?

Wednesday morning again fellas...

We should be looking at a draw of 3,250, with a CRS cut off at 440 + or - 1. I pray the it goes much much lower than this!

All the best!

Thank you for your input. I am not very confident if I could get a PhD opening in Canada easily with a Supervisor that will be willing to take a PR on. Aside that I am also weary of the cost implication (Even as PR the money fit no be rice and beans I guess when compared to 9ja own). But as you rightly said, the education system is terrible here as evident from the current NASU strike. I just feel it could have been a walk in the park doing it in a familiar terrain since it will be like a continuation from my MPhil. A friend also with MPhil, wrapped hers up in two years and is just waiting for the administrative works to complete 3years before getting her result. I just 'tired o' 9ja no try. Is not that I like book too much but what can one do when that dream job refuse to come if not to dey kill time with studies and books.

sir/ma, I followed your post and I realized we are almost in same shoes, am currently on my Phd program outside naija and am on this PR journey as well, my intention is to transfer my course credits to Canada along the way when everything finally falls through Gods grace, I dont know about your school but where I am its possible you transfer your course credits to any institution that is ready and willing to take you in.. if your school do such, I can advice you to continue, and getting a Phd admission when you get to Canada is not that difficult as it seems once you have a good research proposal and even your status as a PR is not a disadvantage to getting the admission. I currently know 2 of my former colleagues on PR in Canada and are doing their research, the good thing again is that is even funded, coming almost free. as others have said earlier its all your decision. all the best sir/ma

Ideally, it shoud take them 2 weeks or so to finalise the ECA after the verification is received and accepted. They usually send the ECA a few days before their estimated completion date.

Good morning wonderful people . Someone should pls assist . Thanks.

Good evening house. I have been following queitly for almost 2years now, since the time of our dear Dupyshoo (how i love you ma'am),vcole,justwise,40manlappy,mummyjaygirls,Bigsamfido,canadian fly. Zandora! you will forever be favoured. God bless everyone on this platform for your selfless service.

Straight to my questions.

I am having issues with sorting my POF, Please i need your candid opinion especially anyone that has done same successfully.I have 2.5million naira in my savings account (gtbank)and my sister is going to send 2million naira gift to me. which is the best option?

1. transfer both the 2.5mil and the 2mil into my current account(gtbank) and buy treasury bilsl for 3months (NB, THE CURRENT ACCT HAS NOT BEEN FUNDED FOR A WHILE) in the case of the bank ref letter which shows 6months average

2. my sister should send the money to my savings and draft a gift deed OR
3. my sister should send the money to my hubby. Hubby then sends to me and writes LOE explaining the transfer. The only issue with this option is that, we have changed our surname. This is presently not reflecting on our passport, Hubby's bank name is in the new name(there are legal docs to back this up)....i think this might raise a red flag .

Better options by you would be highly appreciated.

Apologies for my epistle.

Number 2 is the safest and less complicated option IMO. Consolidate the funds in your savings account and print the statement. You can ask your sis for a print out of her own statement or get the transfer evidence used for the transaction. All these in addition to your bank reference letter if you can.

Thank you for your input. Really appreciate it. I have decided to hold on till the last day the admission offer will elapse. If PPR comes before then I will forgo the admission, if not I will carry on, so help me God. Thanks again for opining.

Good morning all. Has anyone written IELTS in IDP/MOD centre in Abuja? Whats the centre like as i haven't seen lots of people talk about Abuja centre?

No they aren't but either result is recognized for Express Entry purpose
IELTS is IELTS regardless of the testing body...
BC or MOD (IDP Partners) are both allowed to administer the test and give results recognised all over

For all such editable pdf forms, you can do the following to append your signature:
- Sign on a plain sheet/piece of paper
- Scan and save the paper containing your signature as a .jpg image
- Open the form and find the "insert signature" function from the tools or insert tab at the top
- Select the saved signature image from your computer drive
- Position and resize appropriately in the space provided. Note that the form picks ONLY the signature without the white paper background if you do this correctly
- Save and enjoy
Oh great! Thank you very much. This was very helpful. Will try it out

Thanks for the reply...much appreciated. I just didn't want to go the gift deed route before embarassed.
When do you think transfer would be appropriate? 4th, 5th or 6th prior to entering the pool.
