Hello people, started following this thread a couple of days ago. I have taken time to read most of part 13 and some of 12. I have kick started my process by doing my WES registration, and my transcript is on it's way to WES.

Also, I have started my research on affordable universities that offer Masters in Environmental Studies. However, I still need advice on possible schools from people who have applied for the same program and have been granted their F1, and people whose process is ongoing like mine. Wish everyone best of luck.

I believe with adequate preparation and prayers, success is ours.

Some visa applications require further administrative processing, which takes additional time after your interview with a Consular Officer. You will be advised of this possibility during your interview. Most administrative processing is resolved within 60 days of your visa interview.

considering the 120 days rule. anytime from May will be apt to hit the embassy or consulate, as for earliest travel date it's stated on your I20. best wishes

There are not shortcuts to it. Hope for the best and you can send them emails after every couple of weeks. That won't speed it up though..

yes, no standardized test...since I'm competent in English speaking and our country, Nigeria is an English speaking country.
so it makes me eligible without writing any test.

They just want to do a background check. You will get the visa just relax, mine took 2months plus. Though there was a reason for that.

For F-1, they do in one week to a month. The closer the resumption, the more accelerated. For tourists, people have been on admin for over a year (especially, those from red flag countries).

I'm asked to submit statement of account for my acceptance letter and i-20. my question is, will the school verify the statement of account I'll send. and also won't the statement of account hinder my application for funding. thanks

Yea, you should be able to get a scholarship/tuition waiver, however some certain conditions are involved, although its not so easy in our line/discipline. I also studied animal science, but my grade is a second class upper. You will need to tell if if you did GRE or if you are preparing to do.
You can send me a pm, if you need more especially as regards animal science.

Do you have a masters degree already? What field are you in? Whats your profile like? If you are in the STEM field, You have about 90% - 95% chance of getting funded if you get admitted. Try to read this thread from the page 1, this link will also be of great help http://graddecision.org/
