ClumsyFlimsy:
All this ebuehi or aina to be dropped na bullshit
Both of them deserve world Cup and it will really bruise their ego if they don't make it but echiejile has nothing to lose plus has playing horribly and hardly sees game time in his club despite playing second division
you're absolutely right. the only one standing in the way of this two is the Elder himself-Elderson Echiejile.

It isn't too boring any more. Unfortunately, I have missed all the goals so far sad

t was goalless in the first half, so I decided to get some work done. And by the time I logged back on, at 70th minute, it was already Russia 0 Brazil 3.

Bros, Brazil doesn't play around at all. Even after they had already secured their world cup qualifications, they still presented their A team (including Neymar) in the final game!

The formation is the classic 4-4-2 formation, two striker one player off the other, just like the way Leicester city play, Rohr is very innovative
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2023, 2025 And 2026 World Cup by TheSuperNerd(m): 6:42pm On Mar 23, 2018
Hmmm.... It could be. We used same formation under Keshi at the AFCON in 2013.

In this setting, Iheanacho plays behind Ighalo as the "1 behind the 1." wink

But this can still switch to a 4-2-3-1 easily with the left and right midfielders/wingers moving into more advanced positions as AML and AMR and the "1 behind the 1" operating as the AMC (central AM). This leaves the two central midfielders (C/DMs) as the double pivot...

Anyhow this presents... It is a flexible set-up that can go from 4-4-1-1 to 4-2-3-1 and back again to 4-4-1-1 (which can also easily become 4-4-2) and again to 4-2-3-1... It all depends.

But for the sake of clarity, we know Rohr executes this as a 4-2-3-1 or maybe the formation variant (4-4-1-1/4-4-2) is just another of the slight formation shifts he wanna try out. Well, we are only couple of hours away... We will find out.

Danielnino00:

4-4-1-1 according to the NFF tweet...

Didier Drogba reveals two players better than Lionel Messi
.... And Cristiano Ronaldo isn't one of them grin grin grin

Former Chelsea striker Didier Drogba has revealed two players who are better than Lionel Messi.

The Barcelona star has won the Ballon d'Or five times, Champions League four times and boasts of eight Spanish La Liga titles, but has failed to lift the coveted World Cup diadem.

Argentina was on the verge of winning the World Cup in Brazil but lost out to Germany in the final.

Though the former Cote d'Ivoire international admitted that the 30-year-old is ‘an extraordinary player,’ he is, however, of the opinion that the Barcelona star is still not at the height of Brazil’s legend Pele and Argentina’s Diego Maradona.

“Messi could stop now and he would already have done a lot for football," Drogba told AFP.

"To win a World Cup would make him even more legendary. He's an extraordinary player

Good. That's what I thought seeing the line up earlier.

TheSuperNerd:
The lineup shows that Nacho will play thru the middle behind Ighalo as the AM. Not from the flanks.

somehow:
Probable lineup according to Murphy

I know a lot will question why Onazi is starting ahead of Joel Obi.

Joel is more like a newbie in Rohr's lineup. Coaches typically start Newbies from the bench.

They are not that great as a team, they just have good individual players.

They have equalised, no time for playing around, not even in friendlies. Moussa Konate scored. Mane scored

You are right Marvelous Basco... Ekong has always been a leader in how own rights too. And Yes, Rohr building more leaders on the team is part of this move. Really hope to see Ekong channel the "anointing" that comes with the skipper's band "right"... wink

Ekong now seems to be the leader of that backline.

Yeah... But that was after Oliseh (who gave Nacho his debut against Swaziland and also gave Iwobi his debut against DRC) put us in a precarious situation in the Afcon qualifiers and RAN OFF...... grin

That was a probable line up from Murphy l guess. The official line up is out already.
Maybe it's true that joel impressed in training.

LOL @purnishable. You might have a point there sha. They didn't quite impress me in the first half, but I missed most of the second half so I dunno.

But nevertheless, for me, it's either Brazil or Argentina to win it all. I think that Brazil has the talent and the experience to win it all this time. As for the Argies, they might have an aging team and a weak defenceline but they also have the best player on the planet. So you can never write them off.

I don't want Germany or any one of those overrated Euro teams (Spain, France, or Belgium) to win it. England cannot win it so they don't count grin
