I had a similar experience with my ex back then at UNN. Sadly enough, mine didn't end well as yours, as she's an ingrate.
Well, I'm not holding it now against her, but I always smile when ever I remember the events of that period, the emotional and psychological traumas that I went through, it made me to always beat my chest an call myself a MAN.

I can relate too, my mum is undergoing chemotherapy and radiotherapy now, and it hasn't been easy for her and us. I respect you man.
