Do I need to put padlocks on my luggage for safety while checking in? (You know there are many zips on the Box, Hope it will be safe not putting padlocks on all of them), Just being curious.

Some people do use padlock but I don't think it's necessary... Just don't put valuables there...

Stop over calculating things, I thought you will be worried about your return trip to Nigeria when you will have a lot of valuables in the bags and I will suggest you get a padlock if you're not okay with leaving it open.

Online check in opens 48hrs before departure on emirates.com site... then you can pick your seat and check loads of other info there etc... the airport check is very simple and straight forward too... Just queue up at their stand once you get to airport... many people are also 1st timers like you, lol.

Yeah Bro, I have logged in and all my details are intact and I also provided my API. I will have layover of 3Hrs20Mins in Dubai. Were you able to print your boarding pass through online check-in or you collected it at the airport?

You will collect your boarding pass after verifying your docs/physical check in at the emirates airport stand.. Are you traveling from Lagos? .

anyone travelling to NYC anytime soon? i have a metrocard and a sim for the person to use while there, but the person must be on a short visit becos i want my metro card and sim back. i just want to help as i still have data and call validity on the sim instead of it wasting. Don't worry your trip will be smooth but you won't get the Emirates Stopover Program because your stopover is less than 9-10 hours.

That is very rare...Haven't encountered or heard of it so far.
It actually saves alot of stress the luggage goes through like dirt and security purpose.

Landed JFK Terminal 1 yesterday 11:30pm Naija time.

Walked straight on to the machine for passport scan & printed out the slips.

In the next 10mins was in front of the Cbd officer.

Cbd:Passports Please.
Me: Passed them to him.
Cbd:How long are you staying?
Me:15days.
Cbd:Where are you staying?
Me:Mentioned the hotel.
Cbd:Stamps all 4 passports for 6months.
Me:Picked them & said Cheers.

There's nothing like non appearance visa unless you're doing dropbox and this is when your existing visa expired within 12months.
