Good day all.
I think I made a mistake in the course of filling my application. I just need advice on how to Salvage this situation. I chose June 20th as my travel date while filling my application and my appointment date for submission is June 6th. I have already made the payment online before realizing that the travel date was too close. What can I do in this situation please? Please note that I am only traveling for the purpose of tourism.

You can either choose to withdraw the application now and your money will be refunded, or allow it and explain in a cover note the change in your intended date when submitting your documents on June 6.

Hello house,

I applied for UK visitor's visa and submitted my documents at TLS Ikeja on March 29th. This is to attend the Global Teaching Summit in London that took place between 6th of May to 9th of May.

With all the required documents submitted and even with the round trip flight ticket and all, I didn't get a decision on my application. Everytime I try to track on tls platform, it's always saying my document is still with UKVI.

the lady I am supposed to attend the Summit with has gotten her passport back with a 6 months visa granted, even if it came after the summit. She wasn't able to attend the Summit too.

Now, I'm considering withdrawing my application because I need my passport urgently for a verification exercise.

I would like to know what the possible causes of delay could be and also what steps I'm to take to withdraw my application...

And also any other advise is welcomed...

Thanks..

Wow that's long. Maybe they were trying to verify your application ( invitation and other documents) I'll suggest you call before withdrawing it. Just ti find out if a decision had been made.. once yiu withdraw your application i believe your application fee will be lost as well.

Hi guys, please I would your help here.
My friend applied for UK visa and he just got denied because he didn’t explain 500k lodged into his account in the previous month in the cover letter. He’s Medical doctor and his statement reflects his salary but he got this particular from his sister to help bring his balance up but forgot to give tangible explanation of wheret he money came from.

Now he wants to re-apply asap using priority means because he’s got an exam to write here in the UK at the end of the month. Please how can he explain the source of he 500k in his over letter. Please could you help suggest any tangible reason for the source?

Thank you

Good evening everyone.

I have gone through most of the pages and I've been able to pick pocketful of information.
But I'm still bothered with some things.
I got my introductory letter today from my school, and I am ready to apply next week.
I've planned to apply as a visitor(My brother who is studying for his masters in Norwich will send me an invitation letter next week), but he doesn't know if he should include proof of accommodation in the list of documents to be submitted,
So I asked a friend in my school who also traveled recently to uk, he told me he doesn't need to submit any proof of accommodation, that I should book a hotel, and also that I do not need letter of invitation, that I can apply more or less as a tourist and all I just need to do is to mention in my application that I have a brother doing his masters in uk.

Please advise me, which should I go for, for a successful application, as a tourist, or visitor? I don't want to make any mistake.
I look forward to your kind advice, thanks alot!

P.S: I'm just 20,I'm a student of unilag in my penultimate year, and my sponsor is my uncle, a politician, Thanks once again.

You don’t need to cancel the appointment, the ukvi do not share info with the US. My first ever visa application was US and I was refused, after which I have had a German visa and three uk visas without mentioning my US refusal in all the applications.
Work on other aspects of the application. Good luck
This was exaltly what i said but he was asking me who told me that, one other person was saying i ll regret my lies. I was talking out of experience.

I will advise if your Uncle here in Nigeria is sponsoring ,book a hostel with your application.
It would be safer so you won't get denied on the excuse that your brother is a student and has insufficient funds.
Success!

Hello Everyone,
Please I need to ask this, My 6months account details would sure be an encyclopaedia for the VO because there is serious cash in and out.
I am an entrepreneur and there is no monthly salary reflected on my account ,please how do I sort that aspect as I apply for just A 10 days Tourism Visa.
That's the only thing I need to explain.
Thanks.

Thank you so much for your time.
Much appreciated .

Does that mean I should not mention my brother at all in my application and during the interview?

And also won't this means affect me in anyway because my actual intention is to stay there for up to 5 months(I will be staying with my mum).

Thanks once again for your time.
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by Nobody: 1:50pm On Jun 02, 2018
Wait,
Your Mum is also in the UK?
Whats her status?
Why is she not inviting you?
Is she legally there?(sorry to ask)
Why is she not sponsoring?
As a student, how can you explain staying off- school for 5months?
Your form will involve details about your Parents and the officer just like me would wonder why your Mom is not inviting you?
If you don't mention her, they will still discover she is in the UK thats what biometrics/ tech does to Us.
You can't tell any Consular officer you are a student and going for 5months holiday, suspected migration!
So please, lets get this clear.
What exactly is your situation and intentions.
Thanks

Hello All!

Please I need your help regarding this. I applied for UK visit visa and submitted all the necessary documents. However, I didn't tick the checklists in the checklist form but I signed and wrote my name in the designated places. Can this affect my application and is there anything I can do to avoid it affecting the application?
