It changed exactly 14 days (yesterday)and I received today.
I believe in Miracle too but it’s better if you can improvise pending the outcome. Paying for flight ahead is very risky.

Yes if the UKVI finds out. You are required in the application to state if you are going to visit/stay with someone or not. Note your visa only allows you to present yourself at POE. It is not a guarantee that you will be cleared to enter. That power lies on the hand of POE officers. Many have been put of the next avaliable plane back to Nigeria and their visa cancelled for make such silly mistakes.

please are you saying one will have issues if he applys for visa with a hotel reservation A but later finds a better option to use hotel B after the visa has been granted?

You will need to update your documents to make it current or the ECO will have another excuse to refuse. Sure you can point out the omissions by the ECO, but complaining or unnecessary confrontation will not solve the issue. I have seen people applications kept in limbo until the purpose of the visit is defeated.
Lessons: never provide document that make your case complicated.

Any idea if TLS will accept bank account statements I have scanned down in colour? I plan to visit my bank to get updated statement and then scan it in colour to my sister to print. not sure if TLS wil accept it? Any ideas please. I am hoping she can resubmit next weeks. Don’t want to pay for DHL which is usually too expensive

Hello everyone. Please I need your advice on this issue.

I want to apply for 2 weeks visit visa. I'm employed as a sales rep but no salary directly from the company. They pay commission with products which I sell to get my money. This is stated in the appointment letter.

Also I work as a freelancer with a friend's company. No salary, she sends me products I mark up, sell and send her money. I have invoice in that her company's name too.

Also there is also payment for the goods by customers into my account with their business name sometimes.

With this 2 jobs I made over 250k in a month and I have invitation letter from my niece and I will be staying in their house. She is also married.

I have 1m in my account, married but going alone. Please how can I prove my source of income to convince them I'm actually working?

Can I also add the freelancing to the application since I have used invoices I can submit with it?

Kindly help a sister. God bless you all

TLS will accept only document that is A4 sized. So all documents must be submitted in A4 either original, photocopy, or scan.

When asked at POE where you will be staying during your visit. You can tell them this story. Read my post again, admission into the UK at POE is in the hands of officers there, wether you have a valid visa or not. If you’re caught to have misinformed UKVI to get a visa, your visa will be cancelled and you will be on the next flight back to Nigeria.

Oh my word, the hotel am using for reservation is not where I want to stay because where I want to stay does not have room for reservation. Please how do I handle this?

Which ever hotel you finally decide to stay, after getting your visa, declare it in your landing card at POE and you'll be fine. At most if the POE are in doubt, they will ask to see a copy of the reservation or call the hotel to confirm.
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by mokikeoj: 1:39pm On Jun 06, 2018
if that is the case I advise you be around the tls office where you made your application on the 12th. I say this because I received the mail that my passport was ready for collection exactly on the 15th working day but I received it at past 3pm, meanwhile collection closes at 4pm. I was close to the TLS office and was able to get in just a minute before 4pm to collect my passport.

First I need to know if the commission comes into your account every month?
How much commission do u make from this job every month?
Is there any tax deduction every month on the commission?
Are u employed as a permanent staff or contract staff?
This commission money u make, did y company pay the money monthly in y account or u are paid cash at hand?
Then the 2nd job how much do u make monthly?

Yes u can add the freelancing to your application as your second source of income.

From the refusal letter. I will say this is a case of a badly filled application form with insufficient documentation. You will need to correct the following if your sister plans to reapply.

Source of funding. It is not just enough to provide two bank account statements. The onus is on the applicant to state which of the account will be used for funding and why. You should have just provided your saving bank statement only. The ECO is right to only have considered just your current account as your saving is personal to you.

Sister economic tie. If your sister runs a school that is profitable, how come that all she make in a year is 750K. Is this her salary or what? She need to clarify this in the application form. If she not a sole signatory to business account, then she must get the persmission of other directors to use that account. Or get a letter from her bank confirming that she has fully authorization over the business account.

Even though your sister is coming on your invitation, she must convince the ECO that she has economic and social ties to return back after the visit. These are my thoughts.

@ekpotek Your response is very informative, you said
The onus is on the applicant to state which of the account will be used for funding and why
How do one specify the account for the trip?

Do you mean if I scan my bank statements down and they print them in A4 TLS will accept even though they are not original ?

Simply means that they called your sponsor to interview him about your application. Find out from your sponsor if they did call him and what was his response. If not, then it means they tried calling but did not reach him. Lesson: Your sponsor should be updated about you. My young brother visit visa was denied on the account my sister who’s British Citizen in the UK could not answer certain questions about his brother that she was offering to accommodate.

No document is collected or retain by TLS. All document wether original, photocopy or scan are transmitted directly from TLS office to UKVI using high speed scanning machine and documents returned to the applicant. Sometimes those TLS people can suggest to applicant which document to scan and other not necessary. Impress on your sister to insist that all her supporting documents be scanned and should be very observant during the scanning process.

Thank you @ekpotek

He called me immediately after speaking with the Home Office and according to him, it was smooth.

It is well

They will never tell him wether his response is right or wrong and they will use it against the applicant. They would asked him questions like where does the applicant work or how old is the applicant etc.

@ekpotek, @justwise, does it make sense to present a salary account with 300k and savings account with 800k .

Is the total money small for a trip of 500k.

Note that salary is 200k per month.

If I understand your question, your salary account has a closing balance of 300k while your savings account has 800k and you intend to spend 500k for your trip.

My opinion:

1. 500,000 is more than 47% of your total savings which I feel may impact negatively on your application.
2. Why is your Salary account < than your savings account? You need evidence of all credits in both accounts. eg: Payslip, business invoice/receipt.

Once again, this is my opinion.
