Olalan:The guy might love the nose ring but it is a different thing when she's meeting the parent. She has to look the part. His parents don't need to know his preference is a ghen ghen girl. What if after removing the nose ring, her prospective mother in law sees her on the road with the nose ring  The woman will conclude that she has other ugly traits she is hiding just to marry her son. So its better they accept her and her nose ring now and decide wether to like her or not.
