I think that if your kids are minors, you can schedule a separate appointment for them, but one of the parents will need to accompany them for that interview. (Roughly what I have understood from here, though perhaps my understanding falls short.)

If you have not been out of the country before, that's when you are really trying your luck at that embassy because as it is now, its a no go area for people without a good travel history.

They may also be wondering why a a graduate school made you an offer to study a course without a foundation or college degree in a similar course.

you can create a different profile for your 2 kids. get everything ready, pick appointment for you and your wife for a particular date and time and quickly sign into your kids profile and pick same appointment date and time like yours. that solves it if the process you are trying to use is not working.

The marriage recognize by U.S Embassy is the Nigeria Traditional Wedding.

All tru my stay this morning at the embassy I didn't see a single soul that was issued visa today at abj embassy both single and married with kids were all denied even people that have gone to America b4 and applied tru drop box and was directed to book an appointment was denied .... this is really serious any way for me I would jejely go chop beta fufu and ofe oha plus beta sleep coz to go America no be do or die affair

The question was, what does he mean by married but not wedded? I am only here to offer my view point based on the law that governs the grant of visas. What is the implication of not being married under the Act? I stated it. It is non of my business how the fellow lives his life. That's not what I'm here to do.
I simply pointed out the implications based on his status and what a reasonable VO would consider. The VO is not there to debate theology.
I hope you understand that.

Yes. A traditional marriage is a valid marriage under the law of Nigeria. And also recognized by the IS embassy as a valid form of marriage.
