Donald Trump was right afterall when he refered to nigeria as a shithole country. I could recalled that our leaders cried foul but today Trump has been vindicated. most of our leaders including kachukwu the minister of state for petroleum have travelled to most of these advance nations. they saw and still seeing how things re done but refused to come up with policies that will enable them replicate good stuffs that re practicable in nigeria. All they think about is how they will pad budget and siphone more money. May God deliver us from all these thieves masqurading as leaders in this country

I am sorry to say whatever I am about to say now but let us all reflect on whatever I am about to say.

The major problem Nigeria has today comes from the core northerners, how

These guys act wreckless like they own Nigeria and nobody can challenge them or their actions.

Northerners in the form of various military heads of states destroyed Nigeria by creating useless cow laws and constitution with wicked, devilish agenda.

These guys killed Nigeria with the wrong foundation. They laid down the wrong laws we have today that's ruining Nigeria.

They created leadership corruption and massive public fund looting that's now like a normal affair in Nigerian leadership from government to corporate organizations all over Nigeria today.

Okay we have made mistake as a nation in our past, let us forget out past and chart a new course for Nigeria by changing our government style, policies, constitutional amendment where necessary to give Nigeria a greater chance of prospering as a nation, northerners will still stand against it at the Senate and ready to kill to keep the failed situation and status quo.

Let us restructure so Nigeria can move forward, northerners will say no we must never progress, which kind people be this Na wa o cry

You need to see how these northern tanker and trailer drivers drive on the road and park anyhow without obeying traffic laws and u dare not challenge them.

They have no value for human life nor property.

They created Boko Haram!
They created religious discrimination and intolerance in Nigeria today using Sharia laws!
They created Fulani Herdsmen militant terrorists

They have never created any good thing that's transforming Nigeria to a modern world class nation.

They hardly migrate to Europe, America or Asia to learn how nations are moving forward and not clinging to barbaric religious practices.

They only loot, steal and save to go to Mecca and Arab nations to squander our joint looted fund.

Northern Nigeria is the major reason Nigeria is not moving forward like other nations. Remove northern Nigeria from Nigeria and Nigeria will grow in few decades to come, sadly angry

The trains move products across the country. Canada imports refined products just like Nigeria and it's a very large country, so the best way is to move the products by rail. However, trucks also move products across short distances...

That idea can't be implemented in Nigeria. Just looking at it i can already see the downside in this country. There is going to be so much theft because its automatic. Nigeria is not built for progress because of our mentality

In as much as I blame our leaders for some of our problems in Nigeria, Nigerian masses share a big part of the blame too. Even if all the regulations are in place to prevent a calamity such as this, it is our nature in Nigeria to disregard the regulations. Nigerians refuse to think of how unsafe and illegal practices can destabilize the whole society. Any where country where the citizens fears the politicians rather than the politicians fearing the masses shall never be prosper.

Do u know how much NNPC pay for the rent of those fuel tank vehicles per trip? Are u aware that d owner of these fuel tank vehicles are big men in politics, senior staffs in oil companies e.t.c.

These selfish rich individuals would not allow their source of extra cash income to die. They will rather frustrate any innovation that will render their fuel tank vehicles useless.

Transporting petroleum products via trains is even pointless; I doubt if that's what's been transported by those trains in the video posted. The sane way to transport petroleum products is via pipelines to fuel depots in different regions of the country, from where it would then be distributed to filling stations by the normal tanker trucks we know. A fact is that even in the most developed countries, the tanker trucks can't really be eliminated from the distribution chain; the best thing reasonable governments do is to limit the movement of the hazardous trucks to the middle of the night, typically 12-6am when people are asleep and off the road.

The sad thing about Nigeria though is that in the recent past, we actually followed the sensible approach in distributing petroleum products. But these days, I imagine most fuel depots around the country are dead, pipelines are now dilapidated due to age, poor maintenance and constant vandalism, and the petroleum products we consume in the country now comes from the Apapa wharf instead of our refineries which already have the infrastructure to distribute products via installed pipelines.

You are not all correct. Petrol tankers also move by trucks in Canada. Several of them on Highway 1, and they move anytime of the day.
