I'm new here and have gone through most of the posts beginning with the initiator of this thread in person of chief Bellong and other super contributors. To you all I say congratulations and God bless you for your selfless help.
During the course of reading through this thread I discovered that most of the links provided in the beginning are no longer accessible. In view of this I'll want to please, appeal to our ogas and seniors in this thread to please repost all the relevant links for easy successful step-by-step application process and guides for application.

I'd say align your work experience and reference to match that of a valuer.
Your degree will get your positive assessment for Valuer and it's non-prorata.
Someone got NSw 190 nomination for it with 10 points in English too.

Yes. If your assessing authority would recognise them it would be 10 points.

For ACS, your professional certifications can be recognised. However, not all of them are. Check on ACS site for a current and full list of accepted certifications.

CCNP, CCIE, MCITP - I am sure of these. So check others.

You will get positive assessment.
My advice was based on the visa available for that occupation whereas your degree can get you 190.
Since it can't be aligned to valuer, I guess you can as well just stick with facility manager.
Who knows what the new list will bring.

While on visa 489, you may not be entitled to Medicare for the two years before you apply for permanent resident. Once you put in application for permanent resident after two years on 489, you get registered for Medicare.

2.5 million for Visa application if you have a family of 4-5, yes.
But this is what i always say to people, the process is such that your victories are in stages and the fee for the smaller victories isnt that much.
English test is a victory-cost about 55k
EA assessment another victory- the most important hurdle to cross -cost about 300k (if i am not mistaken).
By the time you have spent this almost 500k and you are receiving the good news of ITA.
Like a letter from Australia saying "Madam, you are eligible, pay for visa"- 2.5M will be the least of your worries.
Its like being pregnant and going into labour-the joy of what comes after labour is too big compared to the pain of labour.

On the issue of what to assess as, the truth is, you really need to read the thread.
I am also hoping our engineers in the house can help.
Also, you may want to wait with assessment for now. New occupation list will be out in July.

In this point things involving married couple. Both need to have qualification n skills assessed by d relevant authorities and take english test too? If am d principal applicant, my wife's IELTS, age, qualification n Skil assessment will only add 5points t me and she will get no point on her own either , If my wife's is the principal applicant too, my age, IELTS, education n Skil assessment will giv my wife just added 5points as well? Did I understand it.

Please assist with my husband's job anzsco code. I have searched their site and I don't seem to know what occupation he falls into. He studied electronics and electrical engineering. he worked as a field service engineer for 6 years and has worked as a regional technical officer for a year still in the same establishment. Their company manages the power aspect of telecommunication masts etc.



Please help a sister. Oga has decided that this PR thing is my headache.....
