Sure, just wait for the normal stories. If not because you are using one of their recommend phones they would have said it's from your phone. Nyama nyama nyama all the time.

I'm stubborn ooo when it comes to these LASTMA and Police guys. Some examples
1) Yesterday, at that roundabout near LASUTH, those traffic policemen and women came to stop me because the light turned red after I had crossed the traffic light. "Gerrout of my front", I bellowed at them, with authority. They scampered away
2) There was a time LASTMA stopped me at Ahmadu Bello Way inward Adeola Odeku. They said I blocked the 2nd lane turning off Ahmadu Bello into Adeola Odeku. The officer asked for my driving license, I gave him (color photocopy). He then asked for my vehicle particulars. I told him they were in the booth, that he should let me park well so I can get them. Before he accepted or not, I drove off

Howdy buddy. I just followed U on NL, kindly follow back so that I can send U a DM.

Taxify app and GPS wahala, I picked a rider from VI-VGC and the traffic was mad, this is what taxify app calculated for me. 91mins spent on a trip and no KM was recorded. Thank God it's a card trip.

Meanwhile, am using Huawei Y7 2018, 8.0 OS, so don't tell me it's from my phone.

Yada yada yada...same ol taxify stories that touch...still yet to experience this for once on Uber...it is well...

The car you intend to buy must not be more than 10 years old and you pay 30% of the cost. They give you the rest.

But you will pay 5% for legal documentations, 3% of the insurance and 2% for something else (I can't remember).
Then at the end you will pay and handing over fee of 10%

So my calculations for a 2009 Toyota corolla that time at approx 2.2m, I will have to bring around 900k then spread the rest over 12 months or so. But I would have paid more than 3m after the initial 900k deposit. It was a crazy deal

This is what most HP offerings come round to eventually.nothing new here.an offering i got for an Elantra in November 2017 was coming to 3.8m over 18 months from Autogate in Onikan...almost twice the landing cost..

Finally resumed driving taxify after a month's break due to my work.
I find it difficult to give my car on rentals being my only car. I can't just imagine someone else driving my baby on these Lagos roads. I tried but my mind couldn't let go.. grin

GAZZUZZ:

Let's start by understanding the dynamics of a cars cooling sytem.

the fans are supposed to operate when the coolant temp exceeds 98-100deg celcius.

That brings down the temperature of the car to about 89deg and then the fans go off.

The same cycle continues there after.

Now when the A/C is turned on the radiator fans come on and stay on until cabin temp drops to lower than set temp. Then the Fan and the compressor shut off for a while then come back on again. On a hot day of if system is defective this takes a long time to happen, and the a/c might stay on longer.

Now on wet days the rest interval for the fans is much longer and stays of for a longer period of time.

In floods the reason you are told to turn off you a/c is because the fans where designed to blow air in the direction of the engine, and not water, it over works the fan and splashes water over the engine which can cause damage if certain parts are not covered.

Now to your a/c that stopped working inside the pool of water It might be rapid cooling that caused a crack in a previously welded point. A/c should work better on a wet day.

nah every day I dey learn from professor gazzuzz, keep up the good work sir.

Anyway thanks for the advice! I personally drive a Kia Rio 2018 model with mileage of less than 400. I do only offline trips and I don’t compromise on the maintenance of my other cars.

Total ATF should be dexron II-D or so. Not advisable. Your car uses Toyota type IV. Find it and have peace of mind.
