Hello hopeful! Please do not protest until at least next week, like someone said earlier on this thread it would be unwise at this point because it is too early for a protest.
This is Nigeria where the common man and his family suffers for the rich and connected ones to go up the ladder. I am certain dpr will still call some candidates based on merit, to protect the imagine of the organization they can not be this shallow minded not to give anyone apl based on merit.
However, if you guys decide to protest at this early stage and the recruitment is canceled which they can do, you will be reducing the chances of some people who might be called.

First of all you all have a right to know the level of the recruitment and that's why when you call the customer service they will respond to you on the current situation.
What else do you want to hear and what else do you want them to say,
I'll start this way,
1. The 2013 set someone made mentioned of didn't see any comprehensive list, the love they have for each other made someone to confirm for almost all of them and that was when the list was at FCC waiting for approval.
Plus not everyone who he helped confirming the name on the list and was told his or her name was on it made it through.
2. When you call customer services they answer you with the response of very soon the Apl will be out and later changed to the Apl is out and been distributed. And you will start receiving it.. Please ask yourself from 2 weeks now till now the appointment letters are still yet to arrive.
3. When you ask for appointment letters for those that had interview in Lagos what response do you get, ( lagos own are yet to be distributed ) is that not so, and of which people come from different places down here to lagos to pick up lettera for whom ever who sent them. And not just pick up for 1 or 2 , they come pick up in large numbers like 3-6-4 and so on.. please why ask yourself again why is the letter picked up in Lagos when it has all been sent to zonals...
4.The 2013 set went as far as to protest both in Abuja and lagos from the findings I got from one of them who work now, and It was after the next month the letter were released..
5. Funniest thing some people said here not to module everything up its better not to protest lol I just kept laughing.. maybe you've forgotten someones job is at stake if he doesn't make sure the recruitment is clear and clean... but one thing you must know for sure, some already found out their not included but they are all as well been promised to relax to fix them up.. where do you think they want to fix them up..
6. Appointments letter has been received by some and you say they've not started officially lol did the customer service denied not been distributed.. you guys just need to wake up ah ah ah once it's been disbursed and they all get there induction fixed then it makes you automatically unsuccessful
7. What official calling do you need ? Please tell me, that dpr will call your own particular number and say Mr so so and so come and pick your letter, if it's that you are expecting then it's been done by saying Mr governor or Mr senator your slots are ready... make una wake up kai
8. What am pissed about is no one of you is making move instead have seen lots of people come down here to ask singly asking if appointment letter are been shared and you are been asked show me the letter that was given to you or were you called or texted..
Please ask yourself how can you even show to someone you were called is it the same number that many people called or how can you show a text that wasn't sent.. if anyone claimed to be texted tell the person to show you the text.. and please tell me how was a person that came to receive 4 -5 appointment letters at a go was texted was he tested with 5 messages of all candidates.. if you doubt me come abayomi sit down you will see them collecting it if it still remain..

It’s important the applicants give DPR the benefit of the doubt by giving them till Monday next week before taking any action. The merit list will remain the same and unchanged, their letters will be intact. The worst DPR can do is to not call the successful ones to make them feel they didn’t make the final list till their offer expires by 1st October, in a bid to replace them with more stakeholders candidates that were left out. DPR will never edit the merit list and destroy their letters. Remember they have 3 months to accept the offer. There are 200 letters for the stakeholders candidates, so don’t expect all to be distributed in one day.

If by next week Monday, the zonal offices don’t contact the successful ones then the applicants can make their move but for now let them be patient.

There are some proper actions you will take that will make them listen to you and it will even go viral than just making noise all in the name of protect. Actions that are sacrificial like what I suggested. Lol! Once you go for a protect they will apologise and tell you all to drop your name let them see what they can do about it. Then remove your Apls one by one. Then after frustrating you'll repeatedly then people will start backing out one after the other and then you loss both ways. When you apply for any job in the world don't just apply in one place spread your tentacles, so it don't get to you. But if all doesn't work look at the big picture and try to be an employer of labour. Imagine after the protect you were part of those they employed....

dpr followed due process. advert was made, test and interview conducted. what's ur proof that d ppl with apl are not in d merit list? some of us even claimed fcc rep was present during our interview.

We were told sometime last week that letters will be released in batches first batch this week and then another next weekk. I guess its stakeholders batch first and then merit next week. We wait till next week especially since zonal coordinators were at the HQ yesterday, they should be returning to their various zones with the letters. So by Monday we all will know where this process is headed

Mr tata fought for us fine and good. After fighting what next.....he locked the list in his bedroom,and left us in the dark.

You are well informed of the happenings in DPR to the extent of knowing how many letters were collected per day.. Sir give us something a list or something to base our protest allegations on. Yes oh Mr Walush stated this.

I think for the most part there seems to be too much conflicting information at the moment but that is thanks to DPR for handling the latter part of the recruitment rather amateurly. As much as the FIRS recruitment can't be said to be merit based, they were able to reach out to every successful applicant almost at the same time(I stand to be corrected).
Basically most of you have ended up misunderstanding Neverdown's intent. He was only saying we should stay alert just incase we don't hear from DPR officially after a while, then that will only indicate foul play as the info available to him points towards that. I for one don't see anything wrong with that as long as it's not done rather hastily.
Kudos to everyone dropping bits of info, Pressurizaton also has a point tho as much as he isn't for outright protests, there is need for applicants to mobilize and be seen visiting the HQ not to protest but to ask questions with regards the status of the recruitment and their status as applicants. Yeah, and to the naysayers. I for one still prays there's still light at the end of the tunnel for folks who don't know anybody regardless of the percentage and numbers, part of which i might be among or not. We know that not everybody is going to get the job at the end and you don't have to keep reiterating that like we all have amnesia here, but I for one would sleep better knowing that some got in without knowing just about anybody in the system.

The difference between us and common street urchins should be demonstrated in the way we reason, communicate our grievances and handle pressure.

I still stand with conducting a peaceful protest if we dont hear from DPR in a week from today and that is why I am going out of my way today to get good information from FCC.

This government have shown serious intolerance to public protest especially one that will paint the government in bad light. We must therefore seek police approval if we must go ahead with this protest else we find ourselves being victims of police brutality.

Let's coordinate ourselves and plan this properly lest we shoot ourselves in the foot. Although, I strongly believe it may not get to that as I am hopeful DPR will start contacting merit successfuls by Monday.
