Kenneth Okonkwo, popularly known as Andy, is a man loved by all in the south east and among the Igbos.

His popularity came from his role in his debut film 'living in bondage'

I for one prefer watching any film that featured Andy because of his true to life acting as well as the story line of most of his films.

All these popularity and love are gradually coming to an end owing to the support Andy has for President Buhari and his unguarded utterances against his people.

Mr Andy has shown by his words that he is far from his people.

Whoever adviced him to drop Buhari's name in his infamous speech made a very big mistake. It has done an irreparable damage to whatever ambition he has.

Mr Andy seen not to know that the Igbos have suffered greatly under Buhari's government.

Mr Andy insulted the sensibilities of the Igbos when he stated that the Igbos will wander in the wilderness for 8 years if they fail to vote Buhari.

Noting can be more insulting than this. This has led the youths of Enugu state declaring that Andy will never be governor in Enugu state.

Mr Andy failed to learn from the predicament of former governor of Anambra state Mr Ngige.

Mr Andy failed to understand that Buhari hates the Igbos both in words and actions and has chosen to parlay with a known enemy. Thus, the igbos in Enugu state have chosen to kill his political ambition.

That is his decision; that is his choice; that is where his heart lies and that should be respected. He didn't force you people not to follow whoever you want and choose to follow so why making noice over his life choices?
Why so intolerant so much so that you'll make an enemy of those who didn't belong to your political line of thought; what makes you Mr right?
Just like he said, he own nobody an apology....deal with that. He's man enough to take responsibility for his decisions.

This man doesn't have any political ambition. He just wants to chop campaign funds released by the APC for Enugu governorship election, and maybe get an appointment as compensation later if Buhari wins a second term.

I see nothing but hatred.

I don't support Kenneth Okonkwo's viewpoints , but let's not make politics to be so personal that we descend to the level of insults and name calling.
I support politics of ideas and not that of hate.
Everyone is entitled to his/her own personal and political opinion.

I detest the way some Nigerians reason we are so tribalistic in nature sentiment and uninformed thank God the writer said it’s an opinion, please tell me how the Igbo have suffered in the hands of Buhari, what has Buhari done to be hated like this Jonathan ruled for 6 years what did he do in iboland or what did Obasanjo did during his tenure was it because Kanu want to cause a civil war and Buhari help save the lives of innocent Igbo by taking the matter seriously? The tribal war going on in the middle blet and north is still because of this tribalistic and wicked greedy attitude of people from all ethnicity, if we want this country to move forward we should drop all this ethnic differences and if you think your people are being marginalized present a better and credible candidate to represent you, you talk about the president forgetting the kingsmen you elected as governor doing noting with your own share of allocation and jumping on the president as if he control activities in your various state look hold your governor responsible federal is responsible for federal infrastructure why governor are responsible for state development that’s why the get allocated funds I hate the guts of some Nigerians the way they reason

I see too much hates in op himself but everyone on his/her own , live and let others live too , it's not necessary we all should see things the same way .... not every Igbo hate Buhari , not all HAUSA and Yoruba like Buhari as well, the population that likes him might be higher anyway so that's life.

a golden opportunity with the likes of Sowore / Moghalu

You do know that Sowore is an American citizen and does not need to be doing this.

You should better ignore that nitwit.

Is it not pointless trying to argue with low IQ people?

The opposition is sponsoring herdsmen... Ask the brain dead fellow what Buhari"s task is as president.

Did he swear an oath to safeguard lives and properties of Nigerians or to cowardly default always to blaming perceived enemies for his glaring/patent incompetence?

Look at the kind of people sharing the same national space with us...

You are very correct. When Buhari wins, he will join the likes of Ngige, Onu and Okorocha to call the shots in the government. By 2023, he will be fully established

And this is what it's all about for him....throw your people under the bus to prove to the fulani oligarchs that you're ready to be their loyal slave and house-nigger! This was always his endgame!

Parties mean nothing in Nigeria, give Kenneth Okonkwo PDP ticket, watch him switch alliances in a heartbeat, most of these aspiring politicians look for the easiest and quickest route to grab power.

Nobody cares who you support, even the popular Sullivan Chime ( former governor) joined APC just because he couldn't get to the Senate; Ekweremadu and Sullivan are from the same zone.

Mr Andy insulted the sensibilities of the Igbos when he stated that the Igbos will wander in the wilderness for 8 years if they fail to vote Buhari.

The comment above have driven the nail in his political career as an aspiring governor, not that he had a chance anyway..

That you hate him doesn't mean everyone else does. His political image would soar much to your dismay and will continue to soar.

You preach hatred, he preaches love, accommodation and inclusiveness. You can't force him to be who he isn't. You may go ahead and love those like FFK and his likes who see politics only through the lenses of tribal and religious hatred.

Okonkwo will grow from strength to strength, amen.
guy you get sense. Most igbos that come on social media to comment on politics are the most myopic, hateful, unintelligent ones. They can never see beyond slavery and hate. Disgraceful set of people. No political strategy just blind hate. 8 yrs down the line they will still be screaming marginalisation. These people disgrace my tribe.

You make alot of sense. My problem with those guys is, the hate they always propagate online. They forget that, 90% of the electorate don't come online, some of the electorates don't even have access to the internet.
They are fond of analysing blindly as a result of hate. The funny thing is, most of them do not have PVC.

Nigerians are wiser now.
