you are not satisfied with the league jamilu plays in until you saw his clips in youtube but you are satisfied with the call up of a porto b bench warmer who is yet to do anything tangible since moving to europe just because he had a decent game in the friendly against ATM? well if the ATM friendly is the only yardstick then u23 midfielder who dribbled all atm"s defense to score would have gotten a call up as well
Icon4s:

Oga, you are over exaggerating all these things you keep mentioning here.

A gold fish has no hiding place. Any player that shows outstanding abilities would be called to the national team irrespective of whether someone's interest is at stake or not.

I don't know why we keep lamenting about K. Nwakali's invitation. The exceptional abilities he showed against Athletico is enough for any coach to have another look at him.

See, players selection is not cast in stone. It is left for Rohr and his his crew to decide which players they intend inviting irrespective of which league they play. And of course we have to go for players we have in the best leagues but we should not also ignore players with exceptional abilities in the lower leagues. Look at also Jamilu Collins, I wasn't satisfied with the league he plays in but after seeing his YouTube performances I felt he is someone Rohr and his crew can take a closer look at.

Not all players will be invited at the same time.

Komekn, if the NFF asks you to draw a list for them be sure the criticism your list will receive will be more than that of Rohr.

I keep wondering why each time a list is released a particular set of people here will always keep crying wolf when there is none.

i think rohr succumbed to the yelling of a lot of Nigerians who wanted the kid to be given a chance cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy
ChrisKels:

Now u understand why I question Rohr's credibility and integrity in decision making. Dude is gradually going the way of Keshi and our other local coaches who often come up with head-scratching call ups. First was Chidi Nwakali without any justification now his younger brother ahead of more established stars in their respective positions. If he is tired of the job, he should walk away.

And how old was Vardy when he began to improve.

How old is Glen Murray leading the line for Brighton and Hove ❓ and how many years did he play non league.

I disagree, in football ita about the present continous not the past and future.

That's why we have a B player in the SE and a stand out multiple award winning player like Sone Aluko is denied access.

Ighalo is our best No. 9 for now it might change in a few months if Obagoal comes back from injury. Or a youngster comes up we never looked at.

How many strikers start improving at 29 years??

Would you stick to a worker who has produced poor results for you for 3 years and is at the twilight of his career?

Ighalo has not proven to be the 'best number 9'. The figures do not back up that assertion.

I just hate yeye invites bro. With all due respect to Nwakali, he aint as good as Ebere is presently, why invite him over Ebere? That's my anger. A mere performance against a holidaying ATM is not enough to gain KC Nwakali any invite abeg. Dey are all our youngsters and I dont love anyone more than the other but this yeye preferential treatment is annoying.
Nwakali time came, he took it, please allow him to savour his moment. Ebere's time too will come, soonest bro.

They are regulars now, so the matter has been overtaken by events. But you don't know what permutations played out before selection. You actually do not want to know. I for one will not be the one to go back into the murky past. Because no one on this forum is ready to open s buried can of worms.

However, given the same opportunity without prejudice. I wonder if Dominic Iorfa, Sone Aluko, would not be regulars themselves and other more deserving players, etc etc
stop speaking English here and painting English boys to be some decent human beings

If it is egunje Balogun and Ekong paid, ask them to show your boys road. If Aina, Idowu and Ebuehi used connections to get in the team, let them ask them who assisted.

Nigeria does not need the services of your English boys as much as they need Nigeria. The Super Eagles was not created to absorb England rejects.

This tale you are weaving that English players don't have a bone of corruption in them is laughable. The end justifies the means, if your boys want to represent Nigeria let them do what others are doing.

See, quote me any where. There is nothing wrong with Kelechi Nwakali's invitation.

And on the U23 midfielder you just described, his name is Usman Mohammed. He is not an unknown player to most of us here. He played under John Obuh at U20, he played for the Oliseh's CHAN team, he played under Siasia's Rio Olympics team. He is well known to the technical crew. And if they deem it fit not calling him after that Athletico dribble, I respect that. Usman Mohammed that I know is not a player with exceptional abilities.

Iorfa has only his dad to blame no one else. Aluko this, Aluko that. This guy has been playing in the championship for years however any time his team moved up the ladder to the EPL he will play none or one or two games before been sent back to his rendezvous! He is not good enough for hull and now Fulham in the EPL, so what's the fuss all about oga south gate

Forget, he is saying all those because Ighalo rose from the Championships to the EPL. So it is still that English thing.

Had Ighalo played in the Bundesliga now he would have called him a waste pipe.

it is funny how Rohr was being slated just a few months ago for not including this and Nwakali to the World Cup squad, now, Nwakali is not good enough to be called up.

Let them go and delete his name from the list if dem no like am now.

and you prefer local based players to a bundesliga 2 player? the same local league that the top scorer could't pass a trial in norway? you guys have to stop this hate and wait for jamilu's debut before you nail him. the leftback position have been one of the teams weakest link which have prompted rohr to search for decent players who may remedy the problem but una still dey criticize the man for doing so. aside some euro-born lads who are yet to feature for the first team of their respective clubs in europe can any of you name any nigerian leftback based in europe who deserves to be called? make una take am easy abeg!

The formation Rohr was playing at that moment did not favor playing Echiejile as a LWB. He could have been a better option if he was to replace someone at the LCB position.
Chief,Echiejile of 2010-2014 would have played as LWB instead of Ebuehi against Iceland.

Question: How many players start improving at 29?

You: Jamie Vardy started improving at 28

1. How many players is Jamie Vardy? ONE.

2. What age did Jamie's rise come? 28. Is that the same as 29? No

I put it to you that your response takes nothing away from Tbaba's original assertion

I will give you more players who start improving at 29,I am just mentioning Jamie vardy because you have heard of him.

Sandro Wagner of Bayern Munich start improving at 29 ,you might not know him maybe you only watch super eagles games then maybe Epl

Iago aspas of celta vigo starts improving at 29

Anthony modeste start improving at 29,he only left cologne for big pay day at China

Luca Toni, starts improving at 29 during his stint at fiorentina before he earned a move to Bayern

Luis Fabiano start improving at 29 during his Sevilla time.

Ighalo is 29 not 25 or 22.. And we are talking a Nigerian 29 year old. How many more years does he have in the national team?

An iheanacho can be given time because he can still improve. I do not see Ighalo improving at 29.

This is the national team. As long as you do good with your club u will get invites. If u were being truthful u would know that Ighalo is not a bad player but the goals are lacking. As for now going by Giroud trajectory which u brought up yourself, even if we go by this year alone they are equal because Giroud has not scored a goal for France in 2018. Ighalo should at least be left alone for the nations cup qualifiers were we play Seychelles twice.

The goal tally talk is a bit childish if you ask me. A player can score 10 goals in 10 loses and that won't mean a dam thing to me because he lost. You can win a match for your team without scoring a goal. Ask Giroud if he rather have the golden boot and you might receive slap.
