Yes 28 is the same as 29 when Leicester won the league he is just less than 6 months far from being 29

I will give you more players who start improving at 29,I am just mentioning Jamie vardy because you have heard of him.

Sandro Wagner of Bayern Munich start improving at 29 ,you might not know him maybe you only watch super eagles games then maybe Epl

Iago aspas of celta vigo starts improving at 29

Anthony modeste start improving at 29,he only left cologne for big pay day at China

Luca Toni, starts improving at 29 during his stint at fiorentina before he earned a move to Bayern

Luis Fabiano start improving at 29 during his Sevilla time.

I know you don't know any of this mentioned players, but Tbaba is there to help you out
wow, all European players?

So, you don't know any African player that started improving at 29?

You still don't even have up to 10 names and there have been hundreds of thousands of players over the years.

Let me just stay here and be laughing at you people and your jokes grin grin

This is the national team. As long as you do good with your club u will get invites. If u were being truthful u would know that Ighalo is not a bad player but the goals are lacking. As for now going by Giroud trajectory which u brought up yourself, even if we go by this year alone they are equal because Giroud has not scored a goal for France in 2018. Ighalo should at least be left alone for the nations cup qualifiers were we play Seychelles twice.

The goal tally talk is a bit childish if you ask me. A player can score 10 goals in 10 loses and that won't mean a dam thing to me because he lost. You can win a match for your team without scoring a goal. Ask Giroud if he rather have the golden boot and you might receive slap.
na so e be and Martins did not get invite when he was doing good? Fanendo Adi was scoring for fun and only got invited once and never again? Meanwhile Mikel was chopping bench in Chelsea and somehow was still making the team

You people should stop twisting things.

Club performance gets you invite to the team

Consistency in the National team gets you consistent invites to the National team.

See, if it is to name European players that improved after 29years of age, I can even add more to that your list and it will exceed 20names.

But you and I know that any African player of age 29(except goalies) has seen his better days. Let us be factual and practical about this.

Then why didn't u say that one for the same Martins and even Taye Taiwo? Were they not consistent performers? You say I am twisting things but u are playing twister yourself. If u think 9 goals out of 9 matches didn't get Rohr's attention then you are mistaken.

If I said they flopped at the latter part of their career in the NT, y'all will say they were played outta position to flop. Martins last goal for the GWG was against Kenya enroute 2010 WC. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Personally, i do not support Nwakali's invite to the national team. I think Ebere Eze has been far more impressive at club level.

However, the list is not a bad list. I do not expect sweeping changes yet.

Jamilu Collins is playing in the second tier of Germany, which is a major football nation. The league is better than some top tier leagues in other countries.

We do not have many left backs playing regularly at a higher level. Plus he is a natural left footer. It is a good invitation for me.

Semi Ajayi has also been in good form.

The post world cup team will gradually take shape.

Bros I am just being neutral and answering some questions I know.

If you check my first quote when I quoted Tbaba at the end I said that doesn't mean ighalo will improve or not.

(I don't have hope ighalo will improve )

I am not saying gernot rohr should be sack dis or that, but as far as he remains our coach expect more call ups for ighalo, expect more game time for ighalo even if he fails to score

Ighalo is the Emile Heskey of Nigeria football at the moment

Lol.... It is funny shaa. So it is only on this thread that a select few keep crying about Kelechi Nwakali's invitation. cheesy

Hahahahaha.... Same kid majority of Nigerians were crying out for to be included in the WC Squad sef. Lol..

The list was released and the reaction of the Nigerian football populace (in majority) to K.Nwakali's invite is that of beautiful satisfaction. Na only here until dey cry like pikin oooo... Or you guys think Rohr is silly? If you all are being honest, you will realise that K.Nwakali proved himself enough to earn that call-up. Sometimes, one moment can be the difference between getting noticed or living in the shadows.

And who are those ones saying he is a bench warmer for Porto B? Is it that some of you just find Joy in spilling lies and rubbish? Of the three games Porto B have played this season in Ledman Liga Pro, the lad has started two games as RM and LM respectively. While in the third game, he came in and played 22 mins as AM in a tactical switch.

It is one thing to come here and drop your comments but please let them be facts and not "emotive bias-laden comments" dipped in the prejudice of lies and half-truths.

Also, saying K.Nwakali has done nothing in Europe is a big fat lie because he did impress in The Dutch Second Division with MVV to be even recognised by Marca as one of the rising young midfield talents today. Goal International also pinpointed K.Nwakali as one of the players from the African continent that can go on to do great things in four years at the biggest stage for Nigeria based on his rising potentials.
I have watched K.Nwakali several times in Holland and I know the good reviews he got there. Lad got genuine midfield qualities.

Look, just give the kid a break. It is his time and in the long run, he may turn out to be a great addition and most of you here will have to eat your words. Just let him be... There is no doubt the kid is super talented but IF HE GOES AHEAD TO BLOW HIS CHANCES THEN BE REST ASSURED HE WILL BE A GONER.

Nigerians cannot be silly on this one. They all saw and we all saw with them the quality and composure of K.Nwakali on the ball and in his midfield plays against Atletico madrid. Even Thomas Partey had to take some tricks out of his dark arts football books to try put K.Nwakali in checks. We all remember that game. That Midfield battle with Partey and co was no friendly at all and K.Nwakali distinguished himself superbly. Now this is what Rohr have called up and want to build on provided the lad shows same quality and keeps getting better.
In the end, it will benefit the team immensely if K.Nwakali does prove to be a solid option for us in central and attacking Midfield. Think more about the team ladies and gentlemen and not about your favorites getting invites...

Other players will get their chances. The Anyanwu Billings, The Ezes, The Ejarias (if he commits) et al... Their time will come. This race is not the same for all players.

bros there is no way a right thinking coach will turn blind eyes on a player doing well in an european club side. our local clubs poor performances in africa is a good testament that our local league players are not good enough and shouldnot be apart of the new super eagles just because of mere sentiment.
Kog45:
My oga stop using the word HATE.

I'm expressing my opinion that eagles deserve better nothing more.

If Jamilu come good no issue but i can tell you he is not better than Duru and that Enyimba boy, forget that they are home based.

Pls how many of you talk about Jamilu before his invitation.

Rohr is not god to me like some worship him cos have seen enough of Super eagles coaches both locals and foreigners.
