Could it be that GTBank lost 364-day bidding this week? No debit alerts yet. |

GetPosted:I'm still waiting......no debits too.....what could the problem be ....? Do you have any idea.? |
| Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by vexing(m): 7:50pm On Aug 30, 2018 |
I did the 364-day TB and my interest was credited today but when I calculated the interest based on the alert I received I was disappointed that it was approximately 11%. I was expecting something higher for a 364-day TB. |

vexing:Well, your bank must have set their bid for 11%. No one knew that rates will be that high |

GetPosted:Any updates...? Could it be that our bid failed or these account officers have started this thier funny games again..? Any updates on secondary market rates with GTBANK...? |
| Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by zinaunreal(m): 12:39pm On Aug 31, 2018 |
Gavrelino123:Only your account officer would have a genuine idea of secondary rates for your bank. Try giving him/her a chat. I got tired of failed bids, im now a fan of secondary market |
| Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by NL1960: 12:46pm On Aug 31, 2018 |
zinaunreal:If GTbank 364 failed, are they likely to have a more than 300+ days secondary market deal next week?. |
| Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by zinaunreal(m): 12:53pm On Aug 31, 2018 |
NL1960:Anything can be on the secondary market . Your account officer would tell you which one is available if number of days you demanded for is not on the market |
| Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by Gavrelino123: 12:56pm On Aug 31, 2018*. Modified: 1:41pm On Aug 31, 2018 |
zinaunreal:Thanks,i already did that, she told me she has only 195 days @ 11% available for secondary Markets.....I reciprocated that she swings into action with immediate effect....!!! I would have preferred a day closest to 364 days.... Well,i just hope to be debited today by God's grace..!! I'm tired of all these failed bid..!!!!!!!!! I have to be intelligent here, I will be the one loosing "Each day i delay",because the actual interest is calculated on a daily basis in the Accounting World juxtaposed with reality...!! |
| Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by NL1960: 2:04pm On Aug 31, 2018 |
Gavrelino123:This was why i asked if it is possible for Gtbank to have 300+ days next week if they loose this week 364 days. My thinking is that banks sell from their pool and if there was a failure of 364 days, will that not mean that they do not have any in their 364 days pool?. |
