I dont think so. My Wrists are in perfect condition. I'd just suffer back pains only.

Throwback to the very first Negroid character that i had fully textured

I have wrists and severe back pain.

I'd just discovered that I am a Capricorn grin Astrology things!!
everything they say about people born within the months of Dec-Jan is like a biopic of my life...

I'd also have the Herpes Simplex virus erupting over my upper lip today...it is said in times of extreme stress (I have been through a lot anxiety lately), they migrate from somewhere along the nerve ganglion to the skin. and of all places to choose to erupt, its the mouth

And i have got my first animal for this geometry tracking task. I am cleaning my tracks and working on some basic rotoscoping stuff. At the same time, i am rewatching a favourite clip from the game of thrones. it will serve as inspiration for my task.

List of softwares involved in this whole hullabaloo:

1. SythEyes ----Geomtry tracking
2. Nuke --- For the rotoscoping and Comp
3. Maya --- Rigging and animation Sturvs
4. Blender --- Retoplogy, Model refinement, textures and Hair
5. HotOcean ----- Needed by some hopeless plugin in C4D
6. Cinema4D ----- The shading Network and Passes

Renderers --- Arnold

Zbrush would have entered the lists, but i am reusing an old model, a dragon from my other existence wink

An Ogbanje might actually be a family's visa to worlds within worlds......like that super dense black hole at the center of the Milky Way or it could be the early onset of pyschosis (schizophrenia). Paul tremby's book A Head full of Ghosts is a nice inspiration if you are looking for a psychological bent for the phenomenom Ogbanje

Ok. This weekend i shot myself chilled with lovely doses of Horror. This is Paradise... Mehnn.

I am stuck....have u ever been in a situation where going back is never an option and continuing is nerve eating?

Currently, Embroiled in the most difficult project ever...
I have to confess, i am almost a cat's whiskers from giving up. I am in the devilz spleen.

Nna mehn, Geometry tracking is Rocket science. Chai

Meanwhile, let me drop this beautiful piece from Hussein.

And do you Guys know that Micheal Jackson had an interest in 3D/CGI, way back in its formative years? I read a docu on that.

Just finished watching his piece Ghosts . and i ve looked into his several videos and can see that brutal interest lingering in most his iconic videos...Earth song, Scream, even that one that had him driving into a yawning King Kong.

In the Ghost movie, We saw the very beginnings of Biovisual Hierarchy (bvh) , way before Polar Express.
And guess who He worked with on that? James Cameron (Avatars director)
Michael Jackson was just a Fawn in a burning forest..pure genius

Alright, i am getting close.

Like i said, i am reusing an old model. Here Yusuf will caress the dragon and the animal should purr like all pets are wont to do.

The aim of this project is strictly Geometry tracking and not just planar.

Yusuf is like my willing accomplice , a general factotum of sorts to me. He acted a whole lot of hopeless scenes for this shot in full glare of passersby and never skipped a bit. That niggur is a born actor.

I told you guys that a point the tracking became hectic, i will have to thank another Guy by name Bira who stepped in , modified some python scripts, retracked the whole scene and them fixed every mis calculation/camera errors ( we shot with a Nokia, this time around). I owe them.

Now, i am saddled with the shader networks, rigging, animation and the scans. Hopefully before Monday, this project is done.

With more exposure and relentless pushing of my boundaries, i believe i shall improve with the nitties of rotoscoping and comp.

Tomorrow i am off to Facebook...

While shooting the video was the camera static or was it moving

Moving. And i'd made sure that it is handheld, so that there would be enough shaky effect thereby posing more challenges for tracking...

Overcoming those challenges enhances one's skills with Both planar and Geometry tracking.

One of the stuff that stabilized the tracking was the white markers placed on Yusufs hand.

Pick up synthEyes, the 2016 version or try C4D R19 , ot Blender 2.79 . The aforementioned are super good. Dont ever use any tracking stuff from autodesk. Complete waste of time.

Or we can also partner and learn. Thats how i met my collaborators.

So a quick inspiration filtered in yesterday....

As i was animating my dragon. By some stroke of luck, looking out of my window, i saw a lizard drop off a leaf and gesticulated with its head as usual.

At that singular moment , an idea stuck and I quickly closed my system. Brought out a pencil and began sketching...

The idea is simple, a small flower, like the one on our coat of arms ( forgotten the name) growing and its flower bursting out to reveal a Reptile ( in this case my dragon) waking from sleep.

Its easy to write and sketch, right? To do , actualize in 3D, is the pure koko...

So i narrowed down my options.
What do i have: Maya
Can i make plant sprout out leaves and a flower? How would u do it?

Can i make the growth as organic as possible, with a tapering jiggle once the animation stops?

Is it possible to make the plant crack open the soil as its tendrils grow? What bullet system should u use?

Can i make secondary tendrils to grow along the major stem of the plant?

Everythang looks simple....until u fire up Maya. grin

I didnt sleep all nite...alright, i am really exaggerating. I slept late and not until i saw the idea at least to 80% been fleshed out.

I had singular issues with encasing the dragon inside the flower bud. U know the bud does not open until the last stage of the plants growth. Figuring out how to make the dragon grow with the plant became an issue...

I solved it by using point constraints and locators. At the end the reptile stay fully encased as the plant grows and only reveals once the flower splits open

I couldn't do the ground cracking up as the tendrils sprout. My intelligence failed me at that. Or simply put, i dont know how to do it in Maya. And transferring to Houdini isnt attractive.

I seriously wish i can post the playblast here. A bot keeps banning me. Who is the mod incharge of this section. Can u look into my case.? Posting utube links here earns me a suspension of 24hrs. Why?

I started using blender early this month so I want to know if it can crash the system or do something worse

Allow me to say you have a better processor than mine.

My specifications now is just ordinary run of the mill stuff.
8G Ram , 4G Nvidia GPU and a turbo boosted core i5 twin tower processor.

I would suggest you boost up ur Ram and allocated some part of your hard disk to also complement the RAM. Research on this. Check out PCMagazine.

I think a proper RAM and virtual mermory is the key to getting yhe best from a low budget workstation.

Blender will not crash your system but would most rather crash itself.

And for this to happen, its either you are simulating two gallons of water, Hair with 5000 parent particles plus inherent child particles or your models are insanely high res.

Most times creating particle instances on a high scale in cycles can also crash blender. I would suggest you find a middle ground.

trying to make the dragon fly. It will have to fly before landing on the pavement. Then it should caw, assume a threatening stance an dthen totter towards my actor (yusuf)

In the course of the animation, i read up on a few things about Bats. I am using a bat in flight footage for reference.

1. Unlike birds and insects which can fold and rotate their wings during flight, bats have many more options. Their flexible skin can catch the air and generate lift or reduce drag in many different ways. During the straightforward flight, the wing is mostly extended for the down stroke, but the wing surface curves much more than a bird’s does-giving bats greater lift for less energy

2. Instead of feathers projecting back from lightweight, fused arm and hand bones, bats have flexible, elastic membranes that stretch between specially extended, slender bones of the hand. Also , bat’s bones and wing membrane both change shape with every wing beat, flexing in response to the balance forces applied by the muscles and competing forces due to the air motion around them.

Furthermore, unlike bird wings, bat wings membrane must be kept under tension or else it will flap uselessly. As such, there are limits to how much the wing can be folded during flight. Finally, during upstroke, birds feather their wings but bats must do something different and eventually they have developed a twisting wing path that increases the lift during the upstroke.

And do you know: what happens to a bat that is simply placed on the ground?....It can’t fly
Yeah it can’t fly. It need to climb to a higher position using its claws and then jump off. They don’t gives a reason but I think it is because since their membrane must be in constant tension , thats why they sleep hanging upside down.

Re: My Cabinet Of 3D Curiosities by nijabazaar: 12:30am On Oct 10, 2018
I canit just leave this thing grin

so I have been kind of busy lately. With all the screen writing training and all. I rarely open my pc during the day.

And since i cant do stuff cracking up from underground (even though i ve recently acquired Pulldownit plugin for maya, that stuff is heaven), another idea came up from , guess where? tongue the story of Haggar, Abraham's concubine.

She and her son wandered aimlessly until their water was completely consumed. In a moment of despair, she burst into tears. God heard her and her son crying and came to rescue them.
The angel opened Hagar's eyes and she saw a well of water.
So I used the theme of a desert and a small oasis in this fickle idea of mine....

I know most environment Artists will laugh at my composition, do bear with me....I am merely a Character artist cool

I am trying to see if I can tell a story with the light Setup, Of course I reverted back to Blender Cycles. A leopard can't really changed its spots
