Same happened to me and it was even the registration form copy for the driver's license that was post dated without my consent. The police stopped me and wanted to arrest me for forgery of government document that I had obtained at the right government office.

Good of you to say the bolded, and she did do so as you opined, but has now realised it was a fake document she got from NYSC, because they really don't give such exemptions with such circumstances however genuine they are.

How do you intend convincing people that She didn't know the certificate was fake?

Are you too daft to understand what she wrote in her resignation? Or did you read that she left Nigeria as a teenager to go study in a university abroad, thereby necessitating the customary return to Nigeria that only exist in your own imagination?

She only visited Nigeria with her British passport on occasions. She was never a resident of Nigeria until she was 34yrs. Till today, her parents still reside in the UK where she was born.

Her interests in Nigeria only began long after she had passed the age to serve. Many Nigerians born and resident in the UK have graduated below the age of 30yrs, yet they do not come to Nigeria for any NYSC because they do not have any business with Nigeria besides visiting when a grandparent died or a cousin was wedding.

That they do not have any interest with Nigeria now does not mean they might not show an interest later.

These are the same type of Nigerians that are daily celebrated here on this forum, as working with Google or Facebook or NASA or the White House. Nigerians in the diaspora, like the ones that were on hand to receive the vice president when he visited Google in the US. Nigerians that don't even know that anything called NYSC exist as it remains irrelevant to them, until the day they decide they want to be Nigerians and not American or Briton.

So by default she made enquires about securing an exemption, and one was certainly obtained through her associates from NYSC but fake. It was not obtained under the bridge at Obalende. It was certainly obtained from NYSC officials who gave a document that was not the legitimate issue.

Many Nigerians currently hold particulars that they think is legitimate having been obtained at the legitimate relevant government office, yet they are invalid.
ignoranxe is not an excuse before the law.

Even the drivers license obtained illegally, anyone who is caught will be arrested and prosecuted, nobody cares who bought it for you or whatever. The law is the law.

It is very foolish to support forgery of any kind simply because it has become a norm in the society. These are the small things that are overlooked in this country that drag us down continuously.

She submitted herself for a position in public office and ought to have been fully sure of everything she had. Once again, ignorance is not an excuse before the law..... But since Nigeria is a lawless nation, anything goes

Sadly, she has paid the price, you can't hang her or extradite her back here from the UK because of that. The only thing that's between her and her god is if she knew from the get go the certificate was fake or not.

Stop shifting blame. This is a common NYSC rule, it's common knowledge among foreign students and kemi would be lying through her teeth if she says she doesn't know this. In my camp, I had 50 year old men serving because they wanted a government post and they'd graduated before 30.

Apart from that, Igbos only lost out in 2015 election. Yorubas have been largely in the opposition for most of the 16 years of PDP, and nothing says Yorubas won't lose out again next year or 2023.

Who told you she obtained her forged document from NYSC? I read her resignation letter too..How do you know the purported associates that got her the fake exemption certificate got it from inside NYSC? for your information no NYSC official can give her a fake exemption certificate. It was clearly forged from Oluwole the evidences provided showed that and She herself doesn't contend that. That is the reason she was asked to resign? NYSC didnt make the mistake of giving her the certificate....

She doesn't even qualify for an exemption and that's on her. The NYSC act is a public document...a cursory search of NYSC websites states the categories of persons eligible or qualified for an exemption..Ignorance is not an excuse and she can't come here for top jobs without respecting the Law of the Land.

Your explanation is very wrong brother, she is not qualified for exemption in the first place since graduated at the age of 22. NYSC stated clearly that you must serve even if you are aged 90 at the time you return to Nigeria to seek for employment.
She served as a commissioner in Ogun state with that same forged certificate and you think none of that realised that the said cert was forged? She is guilty of forgery no two ways about it.

Ali Baba is ignorant of the NYSC law:

1) NYSC does not issue EXEMPTION to everyone above 30yrs. Excemption is only for those who are ABOVE 30yrs AT THE TIME OF GRADUATION. Kemi was 22 at the time of graduation.

2) If you graduate at an age below 30 and fail to serve (like Kemi Adeosun), the NYSC law says you must serve even if you attain the age of 80. No EXCEPTION for such people.

Bros for which law u see ur own, anyone u see serve and above 30 falsify his/her age ones u are above 30 even if u graduate at the age of 17 and u came to Nigeria and above 30 u cannot serve u can only apply for exemption please read ur NYSC manual well well.

Dude all that you know about NYSC is because you were resident in Nigeria and schooled in Nigeria or abroad.

The Nigerian who was born American or Briton, does not know anything about your NYSC within the American or British society.

So there are many Americans and Britons of Nigerian heritage who have graduated early and proceeded to secure jobs in their foreign society that they know as home.

If any circumstances make them begin to associate with Nigeria in their adult years and obtain a Nigerian passport due to their heritage, are you telling me you will be asking them why they did not come and serve in a Nigeria that was not their country or society at the time they were living their distant life in UK or USA with their family?

I repeat, that the mistake Adeosun made was even bothering to enquire about getting any exemption from NYSC.

Even those who are known to have had parents resident in Nigeria and even had part of their own education in Nigeria, went abroad for studies and never looked back as per NYSC, only to take government jobs later on and never resigned when it became news that they never serve or got NYSC exemption.

Adeosun should have just disregarded NYSC altogether. Her nationality and residential circumstances at the time she was young enough to qualify for NYSC in a far away foreign Nigeria, would have been enough waiver to hold on to whatever government office she might have been in charge of.

From @alibabagcfr - Many people are getting the Kemi Adeosun NYSC matter wrong. She did not claim to have served. She came back to Nigeria when she had passed the age to serve. She was then advised to get a certificate of exemption. She did not think it was necessary because, clearly she had passed the age.

Then someone advised her to get it. Someone said, since she did not serve, BECAUSE SHE WAS OVER THE AGE TO SERVE, all she needed was the certificate of exemption. They went and got it for her. The person who did, SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN HER A LEGIT ONE. She didn't need to be present to get an exemption. So, it's not that she claimed to have served and was issued a certificate for service she did not render. Many people have insurance cover and driving licence that they did not go through a proper driving test to get.

How about Yellow fever vaccine card? Do you know how many people pick up their yellow fever card at the airport, only to reach destination and are told it's fake. I have talked with some people in the corridors of power. The certificate is not the real reason she resigned. It's the reason given. It's election year. Just like #NOI... There are people who want access to certain federal funds, that only she has access to. And like #NOI, she will not play ball. The best way is to discredit her, and put her out of the office, and by that move now let someone who will dance to their tune. ITS ELECTION SEASON YALL. It happened to @sanusilamidosanusi. QED

https://m.facebook.com/focusafricanews/photos/a.172241293337222/327341387827211/?type=3
Why will some people take Nigeria
for a ride.. So, you don't want anything to do in Nigeria that's why you refuse to serve after graduation @ 22 years old. Then when you now need to work in Nigeria you realised you need NYSC and you apply for exemption. Which you got Oluwole...
Here are the issues you treat Nigeria with contempt at first from all your response because you said you never was it was necessary!
Secondly, you are just talking on how they got you a fake one, it shows you are not taking responsibility or you are a spoon fed baby. Can you act like this in UK?? and get away with it? No wonder the economy collaps under your watch.

There is no nation but what baffles me is Yoruba and Hausa don't want dismemberment.

You are wrong. It is hausa that don’t want dismemberment.

We have discussed it so many times and it is even obvious. You just keep including Yorubas to make yourself feel good.

The average Yoruba is Indifferent about unity or dismemberment. He just wants things to go well within his region.

Please don’t ever repeat this lie again and kindly face up north with your secession issue/worries.

He's a big time deceiver.

Now he's talking of expatriates. A Nigerian who is hired abroad as an expatriate to come work here and is paid in dollars is now the same as a Nigerian who got employment here and is paid in Naira.

Rubbish BMC he is

Dude she's not entitled to any exemption certificate. She graduated before 30. Stop trying to deceive people.
