Please advice... 3 years ago, while applying for my US visa, theres a place they asked if I had any professional certificate, and I selected yes and filled N.I.M (Nigeria Institute of Management). Its one certificate that they gave us during NYSC. I later realised that the certificat wasnt really usefull ti me, so I stopped including it in my C.V. Wgile filling the Canadian application form, there is a place they also asked if I belong to any professional body, and I indicated NO. Now, being that Canada and the US govt share info, do I need to upload this NIM certificate via webform? So that its not seen as misrepresentation.

This is an interesting read. Apparently WES evaluation for Pharmacy gives same points for Masters even if the report comes out as 4 years Bachelor degree. This guy successfully defended his decision to use WES and has gotten his COPR.

This is for the Graduates of Pharmacy who maybe in sales or other aspects of the industry.

First of all, US and Canada share biometrics data. So whether you're a member of a professional body or not won't matter. However, this your NIM Certificate is a professional one, why then are you saying you don't belong to a professional body?

I realised it wasnt really usefull to me, so I started pursuing a more relevant qualification, ACCA. Pls, can this be seen as misrepresentation? Or do I upload via the webform?

Hi ysteph, in my case, will it be seen as misrepresentation for not declaring my NIM certificate? I had declared it during my US visa application a long time ago

TEECANN:

@Justwise,

My attention has been drawn here to your above quoted message.

Permit me to set the issue straight:

BACKGROUND:
I have been on NL since late 2007 (My first moniker- TCANN went with the tsunami that hit NL sometimes ago)

As a respectable and senior member of this community, I will not do anything that willfully & knowingly contravenes the modus operandi of the land.

TO THE ISSUE:
In late May 2018 when I received ITA alongside some other beautiful folks here, the idea was mooted by the members who got ITA on the same day, that a group to support each other's application preparation and eventual submission won't be a bad idea. It was meant to be a specific-goal group with closed membership. All of the May ITAists (Less than 10) have since submitted their applications and the support objective achieved and concluded.

I want to believe you should be fairly well certain that I am not here for any commercial agenda or clandestinely canvassing for membership to any public forum or group in the manner that your post portrays- "...advertising Whatsapp groups". That will be far from the truth! (we have come a long way since the early days of the UK tourist visa thread grin grin)

Finally, I want to appreciate your consistency and leadership in managing this behemoth, seriously, you deserve some accolades! grin

It will end in praise IJN!

I think that the idea of whatsapp group is a selfish one and it kills a thread, you have to question the motive of people who are quick to initiate one because there is no legitimate issue that can not be discussed here.

Sharing information here openly is key to the existence of this thread and help others who log on here searching for information.

Info you share in whatsapp group will not be available in google search which is how most people get to know about this thread and nairaland.

Stop worrying so much, it's possible to be a member of an organisation 2 years ago and not be a member in 2018.

Which ECE is better? i av a bsc economics education. 3. about d payslip submission in later time. im teaching in a school nd d pay is nt dat attractive bt i av more than sufficient fund in my account due to property sold. will this pose any probs latr? i mean my unattractive salary. Thanx in advance.

The answers to your questions can be found on the first page of this thread. You'd enjoy reading through the numerous links embedded within.

Further to that, permit me to give you an honest advise. You need to work on the way you write/type first of all, before you bother yourself so much about answers. I do not think you have sat for IELTS. If that is the case, then the sooner you start doing it right (even when you think it unnecessary), the better it gets for you. I hope you take the positives in my message.

My dear @mcstan18 VOs do not know oooo. They strictly follow what is on your ECA Summary.

Someone posted the story of someone whose application was rejected because of this LLB evaluation by WES.

The comment was that she selected Masters/professional degree whereas ECA by WES mentioned 4 years Bachelor's degree hence her CRS was not enough for the ITA she got and bang - REJECTED.

I urge every lawyer to ditch WES for IQAS however if WES is so dear to you so te if you dont use WES you cant sleep and you shaa insist on using them send both LLB and your law School transcript ( so you can las las claim pounts for 2 or more degree)

A word is enough for the wise.

Je m'appelle Ramj

stonecoldcafe:
I agree with you on this mcstan. We know her law degree is regarded as professional but if I chose Wes and my report equates it to a degree, I would not use professional while creating my EE profile but that's just me. If the VO want to upgrade then let them do it. This issue is a bit controversial with various people saying different things they saw on their report and gcms notes. I personally would err on the side of caution.

@BarbaraCharles, stimulate your CRS score with degree and see what it comes to. If its above 440, then you're good to go

I agree with you @Ramj and @stoncoldcafe. Better safe than sorry it is

Thanks for your response. He paid the person to handle everything, so we don't even know if the application has been done online as the person is neither picking calls nor responding to messages.

Check what is written on your certificate. Mine says Professional Diploma in Human Resource Management. I didn't evaluate it so can't answer your second question.

canadianxmas:
Please, should the name of the certificate/diploma CIPM offers be PROFESSIONAL DIPLOMA IN PERSONNEL MANAGEMENT or ?
also any idea on what the field of study should be on the WES form.

Estac:
There has been a longstanding debate about WES vs IQAS for evaluation of LLB.

I hope someone helps to put this debate to rest soon.

My application features a lawyer couple. One ECA was with WES, the other one with IQAS. CIC didn't upgrade the Bachelor's equivalence to a professional equivalency.

You were a member in 2016. Are you still a member? When last did you pay dues? If I'm not mistaken membership of professional bodies is subject to financial subscription.

Hello everyone, kudos for the great job thus far. please i have a question as regarding POF. i helped transact a deal regarding a landed property and i was paid a commission on the same in cash (precisely in dollars). i'm planning on paying this into my dorm account and using it as part of my POF. but being a lump sum, it might raise a red flag and i don't know how to explain it. I'm not a real estate agent as i have my own job as a civil servant. but the nature of my job allows me the opportunity to deal in this kind of transactions every once in a while being that I'm in the ministry of lands.

PM.
