Replace catalytic converter, do not use fibre as it can kill your engine. This is kingreign's advice.

Hi all. @kingreign, please is there any detrimental effect of putting 'fibre' in an exhaust line in a Lexus RX 350 in the place of a catalytic converter? Check engine light came up on the instrument cluster and scan results show code P0430 as the culprit....

Seems you have stark load of cash in your bank account. Get another catalytic converter

I dont use a RX 330. I wanted to buy the ES 330 but I later went for Honda Accord 2009

What made you change your mind sir? I'm considering going for the Es 330 myself... But I'm here trying to get tips from users to know if it will be a good buy considering every day use and maintenance.. Thanks

I use an ES330. Nice ride. It's a bit boring to drive, though, unless you're a really aggressive driver. wink
But then most cars in the ES line are generally boring drives–they're meant to be luxury cruisers.

Gas mileage is fine, I get about 7km/l when driving around town, and me and my throttle dey quarrel, so there's not much to complain about.

Check your moon roof for leakages before buying.

Car still looks pretty good but I'm not sure how long it'll take till it starts looking dated.

It's not a bad option at all but I'd probably add some money and look into an Acura TL or Infiniti G35 if I were you. However, if your budget is fixed, there aren't a lot of better cars–comfort, reliability–in that price segment than the ES330.

Thanks for your input sir... Don't really like the acura TL.. For the infiniti G35 I know it's not at par with the Es330 based on price, power and maintenance... I just want a regular car that will keep me away from the mechanic workshop not to often, and won't bore a hole in my pocket at the same time... Most importantly a car that wont announce me as an idea of a 'rich man' to much'.. I think the infinity is all that..
Re: Club-Lexus by SmartToyota(m): 12:04pm On Jul 27, 2018
Es330 is a good buy with relatively no special issues once you're maintaining it according to manufacturer's specs but Sir, when you're big, you're big. wink

its a good truck. its got 6speed, its got around 300hp and its a comfortable yet conservative truck. its more reliable than the benz ml audi q5, bmw x5, porsche cayenne and vw touareg, cheaper to run and maintain than these cars.
