Ode Igbos, Yorubas and other tribes voted for PDP in 2011 in West, Yorubas also voted for ACN, even with Yoruba and others that votered in 2011 it's wasn't up-to 4.5 million votes , While Igbos in Southeast gave PDP 4.7 million votes, this to show Igbos vote more than Yorubas, same thing happened in 2015, with voter apathy in the east over Mbaka's comment Igbos gave PDP votes more than what Yorubas gave APC not minding their brother is on the ticket

And SE has a lot to gain backing Atiku with no representation on the ticket? Why not just come out clearly and call us fools like the other Yorubas are doing instead of all this rubbish

Since 2015, Igbos have been the ones wailing and lamenting this administration the more.
Isn't this a golden opportunity to get rid of the administration you so love to hate, VP or no VP.
What is the essence of getting a VP slot that ends at the polls only to continue 'suffering' for the next 4 years under Buhari

Yes, most Igbos will never dream of voting for Buhari even with a gun to their forehead, but there are other parties and also an option of boycotting the elections if PDP betrays us and that would be a disaster for Atiku and PDP.
For 16 years of PDP rule, none of the top 2 positions went to the SE despite the unflinching support from the region, now some people are still suggesting rubbish.
I don't know why Yorubas want to reap where they did not sow

And where did you sow? Have you forgotten too soon your hatred for the hausas? Isn't Atiku hausa, or am I missing something? Abeg, the only place where you've sown is in the toilet grin

Buhari will not give any Igbo presidency. But Yorubas can help Igbos to help them actualise their dream.

So far Buhari has been the only one who has shown he cares about the SE unlike PDP.

Buhari has chosen a VP on two occasions from the SE. Although he still lost when he chose his VP from the SE but its on record he has done so.

However PDP for the past 16 years has not even looked the way of the SE.

Go and ask yourself who between the one who has chosen 2 of his VPs from the SE and the one who had never bothered at all, who you think would support SE presidency.

When some people make this analysis of southwest having the second largest number of registered voters, they tend to forget that about 40% of that number are south easterners and south southerners. Anyway,we are watching.

That predictable block from the SE and SS is crucial to Atiku now because these regions are reliable.

SW votes will split.

There is nothing special about SW voting pattern. If you are thinking you are too much because Buhari won in 2015 there's nothing special about that because the Igbos did same many years ago with Shagari and Ekwueme.

Besides, the MB also played a key role in 2015 yet you don't see them beating chest everywhere.

Which Shagari and Ekwueme? Igbo votes were insignificant in that election and it took a court judgment of the indivisibility of twelve two thirds people for Shagari to win.

SW voted for GEJ in 2011 and he won.
SW voted against GEJ in 2015 and he lost.

There is a reason GEJ camped in the SW 2 weeks before the 2015 elections. No need to say more.

Are these people aware that igbos and other tribes are among those registered voters in South west..

They should also know that an average igbo in Onitsha and aba is looking for a reason to boycott this election.

They should better trade carefully or else pdp will loss in both southeast and southwest

Stop lying biko.
Stop giving the impression that igbos betrayed GEJ after he claimed they were his political backbone.
Betrayal isn't the issue. The dude is right, Ndigbo had no push to re-elect GEJ. Jonathan focus his attention on the north by appointments to key military and ministerial positions and in infrastructural development. Apart from Okonjo-Iweala, Ihejirika whom he push out as army chief after northern protest as well as Stella Oduah who was also removed, GEJ showed insensitivity to the SE. The Deputy speaker position Ihedioha got was by gra-gra with Tambuwal. The chief useless post we got was just SGF, Deputy Senate and Finance minister. Never wonder why Ndigbo felt reluctant to re-election him. Some SE elites like Peter Obi who should have joined the merger with Rochas to strike a deal with APC's Buhari as a leverage made sure the party was demonized all for the sake of VP position after GEJ 2nd term. But the masses , Catholic clergymen and other personalities weren't happy with GEJ even though they still showed solidarity. However, they was no push to stand behind him as was done 2011.They (the SE) felt that his people the SS and his friends the north should carry the cross on their head. The turnout was poor and PDP have still not learnt anything from that foolishness, which is neglect Ndigbo at your own peril.

The South East should forget about VP, we do not need it for now. Truth is we are already in support of Atiku, Politically, it is right and expedient to get a VP from the South West given that they will serve as a swing state in the 2019 election. Please, Atiku should be encouraged to leave sentiment aside and take a VP from the South West to match Tinubu and possibly divide the vote and whittle his overbearing influence. South West may play the spoiler as they have always done if that post is not given to them. The battle is not going to be easy, but the strategies we put in place matters a lot. the South East can be settled with Senate Presidency, Secretary to the government of the federation and so on. That is cool.

Some of you speak with your anus. Ndigbo is subtly daring Atiku to pick his VP from the SW. We don't hide our feelings, we tell you what will happen in return. When done, you'll watch how Ohaneze and the SE Governors will help rig the election in favour of Buhari to spite PDP. In that case it's a win-win for us Ndigbo, because we'll still get a better deal from Buhari.
So Atiku should go ahead and carry out his intentions. We don't give a damn.

The entire country will lose out to Buhari

The Yorubas had the Presidency for 8 years, the only thing they are is greedy

The most patient people in Nigeria have been the Igbos who have received nothing but insult and ridicule for the last 19 years after supporting PDP, even when the same Yorubas abandoned them in 2015. And now that they ought to get some compensation for such uncommon loyalty, the same greedy Yorubas, whom these Igbos supported for Presidency for 8 years, want to come and snatch it from under them. Did Igbo peopoe not Vite massively for OBJ in 2004, even when Yoruba peoppe stood against him?

Humility, is that not the height of wickedness, selfishness and injustice? That you will shamelessly take from a man, what he has suffered and sweat for, to what end?

Is it not greed? Does it not say a lot of you as a people? Is this how loyalty should be paid? That Igbo should vote for Atiku and a SW VP and abandon Buhari? Then they stand the risk of being shut out another 8 years

In 2027, who will they have to step down for? Another Yoruba man?

If Igbo people do not get VP with Atiku, they will help in Buhari's win, after which they can at least hope he will hand over to an Igbo man in 2023. Nobody will play us for fools one more time.

We may not be politically savvy, but we will be nobody's fool.

but you see...buhari is like that monkey you can give a palm wine but later start having troubles when you wanna take back the cup from him.

One can't eat his cake and have it. We rub your back when you rub ours. Ask Shagari, Obasanjo and Yar'adua and you will understand that we are no pushovers. Ndigbo are not in the business of shouting that is why you didn't see us complain even when suffering under GEJ in appointments, unlike you Yoruba known for noise. Our greatest regret in that election was trying not to go extreme and cut ties with our SS brothers all in the name of standing by GEJ. Had we just forget the brotherhood as you unstable Yorubas are known for, we would be enjoying the drivers seat in Buhari's government by now.
GEJ despite our support gave the north everything but we still stood by him. The Yorubas would have shaked the table as we see with your rants for VP had it not gone your way.
