Just a sincere overview, not based on very recent political activities. alot of argument are much in my neighbourhood, i still support obasanjo cos' upon his age, he is still much influential and powerful. i need more of your response in the house.

U comparing some that ring election in other African countries to one that can't fully ring to become his party chairman smh

This coming election is going to be interesting. OBJ was once influential, but not anymore, this late support is in futility. Now looking presently at what is on ground, Tinuibu is more influential than OBJ. will baba Iyabo now retract all his allegation against Atiku, politics is such a dirty game. I hope Atiku clears himself of the corruption charges in US, and if he's able to do that, I bet he's going to be the next president.

Please does Obasanjo decide who becomes governor in Anambra, Abia, Ebonyi, Rivers or Delta? Now let me remind you this, Tinubu decides the governor of Lagos, Ogun, Osun, Oyo, Ekiti. Ondo is still proving to be a stubborn son, but Tinubu will put him where he belongs. Obasanjo could not even win his ward not to talk of local government in past elections against Tinubu's party.

The clear answer is Obasanjo, you have to have a peculiar bias to think otherwise.

But we must also take into account the fact that Obasanjo has taken a serious breather from local politics, so there is a tendency to think that Tinubu is more influential, after all he is active Baba iyabo is not.

Baba hasn't really been trying to pull much weight, except when he briefly tried to raise a candidate on the ADC platform. A platform he just endorsed and withdrew from.

Tinubu's influence, starts at Seme border and stops at Ojodu berger. It is now he is trying to extend his influence by installing candidates all through the southwest. That worked everywhere but Ondo, where Akeredolu rebelled and Ondo masses supported him.

There are those who try to suggest that Tinubu put Buhari in Aso rock. You need to be a special type of retard to think that; yes Tinubu was amongst those that seriously encouraged Buhari to run for office again after several failures but even the electoral results show otherwise.

Infact, Tinubu discovered how worthless he was, in the first 9months of Buhari's tenure, he was excluded from all and every significant event/decision within the core of the party. It took rambling over elections within the southwest for Him to regain relevance, hence his desperate bid to ensure he acts as kingmaker to all governors in the southwest. That way, he may be seen as a major southwest power broker, unfortunately no yoruba man likes to be dominated by another for no too long, if he pushes too much, rebellion will start and he will end up going the way of awolowo, if he doesnt take care..............

obj is more influential internationally as an expresident,un/au envoy and diplomat.and nationally as a political king maker and elderstateman.tinubu is influential too locally in the south west but his socalled political influence is derived from his ill-gotten stolen wealth and rigging machine and partly becos he has not been taught a political lesson by lagosians as was done to tony anenih.

There was ever a time when Obasanjo was the most powerful and influential. He was the sole king maker. Everybody who wants power or a semblance of power must break kolanut with him. But gone are those days, Tinubu is the Obasanjo of this day. Tinubu is the most powerful and influential. Obasanjo lost it after he left PDP...after his party left governance. Tinubu on the other hand ensured his own people maintain strategic powerful positions... Na chief him be o grin

Obasanjor dose not even have a say in ogun state not to talk of Nigeria as a whole. You and I know that Tinubu brought buhari into this game single handedly. Buhari as been trying since 2003 and failled. Even while obasanjor was the president of Nigeria and refused to pay lagos state government it's monthly allocation. Tinubu never gave two fuuuuukkkksssss about obasanjor .Obasanjor as lost his respect and if you don't believe wait until after 2019 general election to confirm my claims

this is for lagos state politics cos' tinubu has the structures in his pocket. but you don't mention other state in the south west.

But can Obj control any state in the west, include his state? In 2011, OBJ supported Tunji Olunrin for governor of Ogun state under PDP but he was defeated by APC (amosun). Obj had hardly won his ward in recent time.
You said Tinubu controls only Lagos, does Obj control Anambra or can he control Ebonyi. He can't even control OGUN STATE.
