exactly on point, do you know some people in my neighbourhood said that tinubu is more powerful than obasanjo. i strongly disagree with them.if obasanjo can create ADC party and still alot of lawmakers in the green and red chamber are decamping to ADC , definitely he is widely accepted. tinubu should create another party and let us see how he is more strong and widely accepted.

Obasanjo is about the only Nigerian living who can go to any part of Nigeria and possibly confront the powers that be... even the highest traditional institutions ...and come back unscathed. Obasanjo can come to your village and slap your traditional ruler and nothing will happen.

If Tinubu makes something as simple as a foray outside the South West, he risks being stoned to death.

Some how the baton was passed from Awolowo to Tinubu. As far as southwest is concern, Tinubu is the most influential. He is the man and he single handedly controls Lagos. As for Obasanjo, it will be very difficult for you to point any of part of Nigeria where he is that influential. Even in his home state, he's lost elections in the past. Take his daughter for example who lost his senatorial re-election.

Yes, u might say because him turning his back against Johnathan was the beginning of Johnathan's downfall in 2015 but u and I know that without Tinubu mobilising the southwest Buhari wouldn't have gotten the huge number of vote he got from southwest and as a result he wouldn't have won.

In reality, Obasanjo his been hype that he that influential. In 1999, if not for the likes of ibb, danjuma, gussau, etc that helped him get vote from the north he wouldn't have won that election bcoz he lost overwhelmingly in southwest.

2019 is fast approaching and we will see who is more influential since they are both in opposite camps. Let's see if obj will help Atiku win the election this time.

Tinubu is a local Champion, stop according to him what he is not, this is why when we told you all he cant remove Saraki his supporters were making empty noise about. Is not the same Tinubu the likes of Abbah kyari and co threw to the dogs after 2015? treated him like an ourcast and still ordered him back?, you dnt do such to international or national Champions like OBJ without consequencies. You only do that to local champions eho dnt have a choice but to obey. Tinubu allowed all the hailing to get to him head, but was cut down to size when he tried to install Lawan and his boy Gbajamila as Senate President and Speaker respectively. Tinubu might be a god in South west, but he is a no body nationally. in this country we have national players and local and regional champions. National players have been on the scene since 1999 till date, they have history across each zones, boys, associates and structures, a local champion only have these in his region, outside he is as lowly as a ward chairman.
Atiku is a national player, headed PDM,played politics even during the millitary era when the likes of Tinubu was not even allowed to come into the compound when the likes of Pa Adeshina and Bola Ige were holding meetings. Not even Buhari can challange Baba Iyabo, if there was an out break of crisis across the country, world leaders wont call Bubari let alone Tinubu for updates, its the likes of OBJ and TyDanjuma they listen to. OBJ might not be able to install someone in the S/west, but nationally and internationally he can damage your image and destroy whatever goodwilll you have. You guys should keep decievibg your selves.

Obj will go to all regions and canvass for Vote, even without cash they will still respect him. He'll pick some from south west, some from east, north and south south. Tinubus machinery won't cover east and south south.

The clear answer is Obasanjo, you have to have a peculiar bias to think otherwise.

But we must also take into account the fact that Obasanjo has taken a serious breather from local politics, so there is a tendency to think that Tinubu is more influential, after all he is active Baba iyabo is not.

Baba hasn't really been trying to pull much weight, except when he briefly tried to raise a candidate on the ADC platform. A platform he just endorsed and withdrew from.

Tinubu's influence, starts at Seme border and stops at Ojodu berger. It is now he is trying to extend his influence by installing candidates all through the southwest. That worked everywhere but Ondo, where Akeredolu rebelled and Ondo masses supported him.

There are those who try to suggest that Tinubu put Buhari in Aso rock. You need to be a special type of retard to think that; yes Tinubu was amongst those that seriously encouraged Buhari to run for office again after several failures but even the electoral results show otherwise.

Infact, Tinubu discovered how worthless he was, in the first 9months of Buhari's tenure, he was excluded from all and every significant event/decision within the core of the party. It took rambling over elections within the southwest for Him to regain relevance, hence his desperate bid to ensure he acts as kingmaker to all governors in the southwest. That way, he may be seen as a major southwest power broker, unfortunately no yoruba man likes to be dominated by another for no too long, if he pushes too much, rebellion will start and he will end up going the way of awolowo, if he doesnt take care..............
