The address of ukvi on the left and you may start your letter in this format.You can Google some samples to enable you write a good cover letter based on the reason you were denied.You can't give up at this junction because your reason of denial is just too flimsy.

Sequel to the refusal letter of soooo xxxxx..you will state the reasons and i wish to make some facts...develop the body of your points.
You will explain your own part and conclude with the analysis of income you stated above that should be paragraph five depending on the issues raised for your rejection.

I believe the experts here will help you on bookings because it's kind of complicated because some usually have big issues when booking..A booking may be done and later not successful after documents had been received by ukvi..i really dont use it much cos i used my brother's iv..Hotel Bookings can be an avenue to reject anyone and ukvi are so funny always looking for any loopholes.Its crazy and painful you do not have a friend or uncle that could assist you with IV and accommodations.This would have made it easy because your accommodation would have been sorted out and you would have enough money for your trip both you and son.

I really wish you good luck.. I know a friend that was rejected base on this flimsy reasons she wrote them in the 2nd month and she got her visa.They don't like it when you can't state how you made the money in your account and that's why many are denied which are not genuine reasons.Alot of people make money in this country but do not have the evidences or the documentations that shows cash deposits in their account.

This is grossly unfair to reject people base on that ground.. I always advise people to plan their trip with their bank statement and ensure they have evidences for the money in their account and which shows that circumstances has truly change and reflect in their standard of living. its not something you just wake up and send your applications to ukvi.why waste money?..It makes them think you just want to run from Nigeria but your own case is a bit special and have 65% chances of getting the visa.

If your mum is in full time employment how do you expect the embassy to issue her a visa to spend 4months in the U.K.? What happens to her job?

1. State truthfully what your mum is coming to do and give reasons why you need her in your letter of invitation.

2. That budget is not needed, present your bank statement and source of the money in that account.

3. Your mum should present her bank account, payslips, (6 months of each) evidence of employment, and her TB certificate/account.

What a brilliant response @justwise. I am a newbie here and would need your assistance pertaining to UK visiting visa application. I have only being to India, Kenya and Rwanda but not any european country. I have someone inviting me but I do not know how to go about the other requirements. I see that their official website said 3 months bank statement but I saw most people presenting 6 months statement. I will appreciate any input from you sir. Patiently waiting for your response.

I am applying for a Tier 4 dependent visa, my wife is on a Tier 4 student visa currently. I worked in a bank till last month (resigned). We run a cleaning service company which she was managing till she left.

I want to inquire if:

1. I can submit a Power of attorney authorizing someone else to manage our company in our absence?
2. I have no TCC - would the statement showing payments from clients suffice (though I am using a personal account statement to apply)?
3. Do I need a cover letter to explain all these?

You don't need any of these for a tier 4 dependent visa. What you need to present mainly is proof of maintenance fund and proof of your relationship to your wife. Check out the link below and do more research before you waste your money.

When you get to the Airport, Ask for the Vat/Travelex returns section, You will fill in your Personal details and Credit card details and submit the slip you were given from the shop.


Takes between 3 to 5 days to reflect in your account.

Visa was issued in August 23rd 2019

Travel date Sept 28 and returned to naija on the 13th of October

Can it be used again in November ending or should wait till December ?

(You didn't give your response to any of this point you only quoted their own you fail to give response to each in the next paragraph I.e My income was generated from my personal savings and payment made by my friends are for sosossoso)

And please know that when applying for ukvi. if you intend using jan to June statement always make provisions for the two months before January because Ukvi will confirm your last two months prior to your first month of statement.
They check someone's acc it was ok and later confirm the balance prior to the month she printed the statement and discovered the balance money was about 1000naira she was rejected.

And for some huge money you must explain if its your housing allowance or leave allowance..i also notice that thise who do recharge their phone cards online and some can do 200 and 50naira.they will examine your standard of living by such transactions.

This people are very intelligent so people have to really plan ahead and have a good healthy statement if you really want a uk visa as a first timer.Its just this first time the others will not be difficult as being a first timer can give them lots of doubts and when you have uk visa there is 90%chances that US will give you too.

Quick One good people. My son is 2 years plus and a US passport holder. My wife and i just applied for the UK visitor visa(1st Timer). Do we need to apply for him(my son) as well or come with him to the visa appointment center on the appointment day? He is to travel with us if visa is approved.

Please what I mean is that you explain to them what transfer between you and those guys who paid those cash into your account if you have Evidences for the payment please attach by those people you claimed paid into your account.

For example such money could be savings or joint contribution or income from Agric business you participated..you must let them know why they were paying into your account.

Please chat me.i really want everyone here to assist you with their experiences because your reason of rejection is really a slight and obvious mistake. You should have earn an appeal in those days of appealing.

For Agric business how can I explain the incoming amount bcoz in the form I only claim I don't av another job.

Or can I claim is a joint contribution in my office with other colleagues.

I know I'm not an expert but I don't think it's true that UKVI confirms your bank statements of two months prior to the months submitted. Your bank will not disclose your account details to any party without your permission. The ECO makes their decisions based on the documents submitted.

Nope, I am not saying they do confirm prior statement at all times but some extreme cases when they are looking for a flimsy reasons to refuse a first timer. I know of someone they confirm from her bank and the bank sent same to her HR to know if she was their staff, Hr unknowing sent all mails to staff and I tell you that mail was seen clearly showing a confirmation of prior months between bank and ukvi..Bros i saw it..Just let's leave it coded and I will advise anyone to really plan and do your home work before submitting your doc as a first timer.

To avoid wasting our money and speaking unnecessary grammar just to be on save side get the complete 6months statement and ensure your back prior is not that bad.My opinion not anybody. The last application with my visa was 8 months statement.
