I have been following up this thread for months and I have no doubt that some PTAD loyalists or even anti-bulk buy out loyalist who are paid to do the job of buying the minds of disengaged staff to believing that monthly pay is better than bulk payment just for their selfish interest.
Am saying from my own point of view cos their is nothing these wicked and heartless guys at d helm of affairs pressing for monthly pension can not do cos they know what they stand to gain if the payment is monthly. They can go as far as bribing people to go into different media blackmails against the struggle/campaign for the 20yrs buy out.

My own view!!!

As you may be aware, talk is cheap. Truth is a very bitter pill and is always very hard to swallow. I write based on the little I
know. I do not believe PTAD serving the entire country pensioner,s that has been suffering for years back has the time to bribe, cajole or ask anybody to defend the good work they have been doing for all pensioner, across the entire country.
Kudos to the ES and the entire team for a great job. I do not limit myself to what happens to my fellow ex-staff alone,
but what all pensioner,s across the length and breadth of the nation is saying. Again talk is cheap.

I don't know how people think. What should be rightly done to Nitel ex staff? Isn't it bulk pay as the case of Nepa airways etc. Why would an overzealous Ptad enrol nitel staff for pension? Is it the right thing? Is it really what the ex staff want all I can see is that they are just hijacking the opportunity to draw more praises to themselves and perhaps certify their personal interests because it would be unrealistic to say that a country as Nigeria does not have 200billion to pay Nitel ex staff. Who told us FG hasn't the money? My anger is on nitel ex staff for not fighting for what they want I wonder what individuals who are supporting PTAD stand to gain. It's not right to pay pension to ex workers of a liquidated company even by law. And mind you PTAD existed even as at GEJ time why didn't they settle pension liabilities? But Buhari made it a priority and he doesn't know what pattern of settlement each parastatal deserve that's why PTAD and BPE are established but we can see what some individuals are doing because they have a mandate to settle workers liabilities. Let the ministry of finance tell us they don't have the money then we work on a modality of payment if they pay the money in part let them tell us. Pension is fraud.

I hv been thinking of such too. Some people talk as if they are @ d other side & not on our side. If govt. can gv airways money, then they should also gv nitel.

Are we talking of 20yr buyout pay or arrears of our years of unpaid pensions here? Most ex-staff are getting it wrong.
Let us specify what we are talking about here, please. Have any pensioners receive the monthly pay yet? Pls, let us know.....
There has been an unconfirmed talk of pensioners has started receiving expected monthly payments.

I'M NOT A NEXT OF KIN, NEITHER AM I A PENSIONER. ALL THIS STRUGGLE IS FOR MY DAD. THE OLD MAN HAS REALLY SUFFERED ALL THESE YEARS. WHEN HE GOT HIS ALERT YESTDAY, HE CALLED AND WAS EXPRESSING HIS DISAPPOINTMENT AT THE FIGURE HE SAW. WE HAD TO EXPLAIN TO HIM THAT THE FIGURE WAS ONLY FOR THE BEGINNING OF HIS PENSIONS AND THAT FROM CALCULATIONS, HE HAS ABOUT 80 MONTHS PENSION ARREARS TO COLLECT, PENDING WHEN THE FG RELEASES THE MONEY.
THIS IS A GOOD ONE SHA COS HIS PENSION IS ABOUT N160K. CONGRATS TO ALL IN THE HOUSE (ESPECIALLY THE PENSIONERS). AS FOR THE NEXT OF KINS, BE A LITTIE PATIENT AS PTAD HAS SAID YOURS WILL FOLLOW SHORTLY. THANKS TO ALL ONCE AGAIN, MAY GOD BLESS US ALL. AND REMEMBER TO INVEST WISELY, ESPECIALLY WITH YOUR AREARS.

Many ex-staff that received the Oct.montly pensions were extremely happy. I have not received mine though. I know I will shortly.
My advice to pensioners is to think well on how to use the money wisely. My warmest greetings to the... " Pensioners Beacon Of Hope " ..The ES. May Almighty God fulfil her dearest wishes. Amen.

I have not received mine too as at today but I am very happy most of my ex-staff friends have collected their payment.
I was at their office in Lagos with some pensioners who have the same problem as mine. The lady officer was very polite and she told us to calm down as the payments were in batches. We are awaiting the 2 batch payment. My belief is that a journey of a thousand miles has stated
with just a few steps.

the money is not meaningful sir. It is only pensions and I hope it will be meaningful if the areas are paid. The pensions only average about N80,000 to N200,000
