@Jnyuwa, do you know how many days it will take VAC in Abuja to send someone's passport to Lagos embassy. I ask because I've only 10 days to submit my passport. I've already sent the passport to vAC in Abuja, because I dont want to pay that unnecessary passport transmission fee.

5-10 working days if it's for original passport request.

Don't let anyone discourage you. Such messages should only fire you up. I am almost 10 years older than you but recently got my study permit at UG level for that matter after having a Masters degree about 15 years ago. Granted, the chances may be low but it's not impossible. Take a chance on yourself. Your activities look impressive. Could you have applied for studies at a higher level? I don't know how deep the vocation diploma is. Don't give up or be discouraged by the Consultants message because the truth IMHO is that her statement applies to every applicant from Naija! (A careful or even careless review of the statistics will reveal that as long as you are a Nigerian, your chance is low!). Despair Not, and live not thinking when aged of what would have been, if only you gave it a shot... Or one more shot!

Next time she tells you your chances are low...
...Please tell her to tell you something you don't know!

Hey my guy galala123, I think people are dying to see your time line. You still haven't shared it with the house. I think it will give people a lot of hope. Kindly endeavour to do that. Thanks buddy!

Meanwhile, speaking of statistics, 10% of Part 15 has gone by. This Canada thread Na fire! For every 1 page that is covered in Ireland thread, I think 50 pages are covered in Canada thread! How will the chances of being approved not be low?

Just imagine the thread going so fast and hard to catch up on. I think this will give you a glimpse of what the visa officers go through. Canada is the most sought out location by Nigerians now, surpassing the USA. An avalanche of application from June to early September that is hard to catch up on by CIC and they had to skip on them and attend to more recent applications in the hope of returning to those backlogged application later. It's really crazy man. But everyone should get a decision eventually. Keeping the fingers crossed and praying heavens favor is the right approach to what we have no control over.

If it's so, why can't i do it myself then.. I was just told about certain benefits they get from the schs they are affiliated too.. Like no Payment of school fees before helping to secure a visa and waive of English proficiency etc.

so sorry for the outcome of your application.

don't you think you should try again?

just my opinion.

MISFITrep:
wow! This is extremely painful! Money, time, effort and prayers. This entire process cost me about 5 million naira. Travelling all over south south nigeria to get original certificates and documents. It is well
I will go pick the passport tomorrow and close that chapter for good. After many weeks of waiting.
To all those still expectant, I wish you Goodluck

Good morning house.

Thanks all for your input and words of encouragement etc.
Please how do you know which office is attending to your online application.
I see people say London , Lagos and Kenya attends to applications from Nigeria, and I'm curious as to how you know the exact one treating your application.
Thanks.

Applied July 30th, biometrics August 1st... and still waiting....
God bless us all today..

Amen and Amen

Austacus:
Dear Lord Jesus, thank You for the way that You have led us so far, and I ask Lord that You would undertake for the soon release of our visa, which is taking so long to go through the application and approval process.

Lord, we don’t understand the reason for the long delay, but trust that You will intervene in this matter, and allow the papers to be released in time for the proposed visit abroad.

Lord, You have promised that those that put their trust in You will not be disappointed. Hear my petition I pray, and allow the visa to be released speedily - and we will give You all the praise and all the glory, this I ask in Jesus name,

Amen

Lol... Brother please I want to ask a question. Still trying to book my flight in December, someone told me to book for round trip and not one way to avoid issues with immigration, is this true?
I have never traveled before so I don't know anything. But I noticed round trips are cheaper than one way though.

Don't rush, apply for your GCMS notes. That only purpose of the visit may encompass some other hidden concerns which only GCMS notes can reveal.

I will advice you wait 30 days till reviewing your gcos notes before applying. GCSM may contain useful information from which you can render an effective rebuttal of purpose of visit. You are almost there.
