Hello house, I'm new here.
Planning to relocate with my lady to the states.

I'm into medical and electrosurgical equipments and I had traveled to few countries and also worked in Dubai before.

As for my wife, she had no travel experience. An agent said he'll work on 2years multiple entry for US. But I'm afraid based on some past experiences.

Please advise me the type of visa to apply for and hope I'm on the rightforun

You and your wife could get into the country on a visitor visa, but if y'all plan on staying long-term then you should be prepared to look at other visa options.

Good morning....
I asked this question here weeks ago and never got a reply. However, i decided to just apply for my 5 months old baby through the normal process of filling out a form and taking her for an interview. The interview was yesterday. I only took the printed DS-160 confirmation page, appointment confirmation page, her international passport, two of her passport pictures, her birth certificate, a consent letter from her dad, and my international passport.

Our interview was for 9:45am, but we were done with the interview and got home even before 9:30am...the Embassy was scanty (very surprising).

Anyway, i decided to share my transcript and the process of applying for a baby incase anyone here is as confused as i was.

Congrats to you Sis.... Was this Abuja? Seems I saw something like this there on same day. The huge dark guy, wifey and kids....

Dropbox people called in for an interview ain't really finding things funny methinks too peeps. Saw a couple of them, seems at the slightest mistake in visa usage your visa is gone these days! Listened in on at least 3 cases; the old woman that has been there twice and spent 5 months plus on each occasion with just 3 weeks interval visits to naija in between, the frequent travelling woman that got treatment in the US, and the other young lady that has her husband and siblings in the US but new info seems to have surfaced about her.... Whew!

No, our interview was in Lagos, just me and my baby.

Yes i agree, any little mistake and your visa is gone. I personally know people that were recently banned. One guy i know went with a visiting visa and spent 5 months. Why on earth will you even spend 3 months on a holiday not to talk of 5 whole months? What sort of holiday do you spend 3-5months on bikonu?

Well, he came back to Nigeria, and on his next trip to Los Angeles, he was denied entry at LAX and banned from entering the U.S again. I asked him how long the ban was for, he said they told him that he's not entering the U.S ever again.

Wrong forum... What you intend doing is illegal because you can't just relocate to U.S just like that... you will need to go through the legal/right way by looking at your options... You need to read and do research even agent wan leave naija.

They are very strict now because Nigeria is one of the countries that have citizens that violate US Visa rules. E.g overstaying that results to illegal migration, working on a visit visa. Due to the situation of the economy some people have started working while on holiday so that they can have enough money to pay their rent and foot other bills when they come back.

Some people on F1 visa that has expired have refused to come back home.

Some people have even migrated but they have a valid b1/b2 visa on their passport. It is well.

All this makes the innocent ones get refused.

Na economy cause am. Some other african countries were listed too like South Sudan, Mauritania and others

The experience people have gotten from here cannot be undermined. How is she misleading people biko? Because of documents? I've noticed that you pick on her a lot, yet you always say that you have nothing against her. Ike dikwa gi..you have strength. Kwantinue! grin cheesy

Hello All,

Thank you for taking the time to share information on this topic.

I have a very unique case and I am seeking advice.

I want to attend a conference in Washington DC by December 3rd and I have to confirm attendance with the organising body by November 16 or they will withdraw the invite. Apparently, I have less than three weeks from now. By the way, they just sent me a congratulatory email, few days ago.

Another thing is, I am not employed with any company but I am a social media content creator. This implies that I am not gainfully employed and not financially bouyant.

I am getting sponsored to travel by friends and family and I have no intention of staying back after the two- day conference.

Now, I have budgeted a million naira for this, since the whole trip will take 5 days- less than a week.

So here is what I want to know:

1.In filling the form, how do I answer if I am employed or not?
2.How do I establish strong ties because, I am not even married and the only property I know, belongs to my parents?
3.Do I need to make a hotel reservationl before coming for the Visa Interview?
4. I intend to use Airbnb, does that pass for a hotel reservation?
5. What are the chances of someone that is self employed in this sense (social media) but can't prove it with CAC certificate, will be granted a B1 Visa?

I look forward to your timely response and rich counsel.

Thank you.

Awwww! cheesy

Look who is calling someone an overgrown adult ... an adult like you who acts like a child, making a fool of himself on a public forum. A man that looks for trouble like a woman cheesy .

If you had even a little bit of sense, you would have understood that simple comment i made where i never said that i got my visa because of what LadyG told me, but that i silently ganered knowledge and experience from this forum.

FYI, a lot of applicants had the perfect status but still didn't get visas because they didn't have the wealth of experience they would have gotten from here. But how would you know that when you are busy constituting a public nuisance? grin

I would have suggested that you go back and read my comment again, but there is no need for that because you probably still won't understand it.
