The behaviour of Diamond bank's share price is telling me that insiders wanted to make sure they disposes retail shareholders of their shares, then get an investor and make a killing.... ![]() Somehow, along the way, information got mismanaged. Retail investors wanted to be part of the mega party... ![]() The insiders are desperate to figure out a way to achieve the same goal... ![]() |

A brief run down on AIICOs Q3 results; The company saw a drop in their earnings line on the back of a below per performance. Management were'nt so efficient with translating their input (premium income line) to output (earnings line) To put things in perspective, a 13% rise in NPI (net premium income) following from a 16% rise in GPI was subdued by a higher than normal expense line (admin, opex, claims and underwriting exposure) ...which occasioned the 22% decrease in PBT from approx 2.77B to 2.15B and feed into the drop in EPS to 25k from 34k in the corresponding period of last yr. The interpretation of this is that the last 3 months saw the company generate higher premium but paid more to policy holders at a faster rate than it did in utilizing those premiums with bringing income. That said, the financial position of the coy still makes for a healthy one amidst some risk drivers. ...while the valuation still prints of a great margin to tap from. Using a TTM EPS of 31k (which AIICO may well surpass by YE) @ a discount rate of 13% and adjusting for a risk premium of 2%, AIICOs Fair Price computes to N2.06 !! ...and which when weighed against the present market price of 72k, still captures the potential for an over 186% price appreciation !! This is adjusting for any and all possible inherent risk. As expected, the market reacted slightly negatively to the result. But will I sell AIICO @ the current price if I hold a stake in it? ...Hell NO !! For that would be tantamount to throwing away a thing of immense value !! Will I KEY into AIICO @ the present price? ...ABSOLUTELY !! ...and WITHOUT a single doubt. Especially if my investment horizon is of the medium term. Disclosure: I hold some units of AIICO in my Investment portfolio. Disclaimer: Not to be perceived as any sought of recommendation. ...due diligence should still remain ur 1st priority. |
