I think implementation of the new minimum wage will bring temporary reprieve to the consumer goods sector pending when we get out economic policies right. It's like reflating the economy.
If the current trend is not halted many businesses will collapse or leave the country just like in the 80s and 90s

Until the government starts to protect our heritage in this country noting will change. China is sending them out of market. Access to Yuan or what is a bait. Competition is getting stiff per day with Chinese products. Some of our manufacturing companies will collapse very soon.

That I have waited till now does not mean I will buy at the lowest prices, I just want to buy when I will and have peace of mind. I no be MPeace wey chop liver North, South, East and West!!! I will buy once the euphoria of this Q3 results settles down.

We need to also take into consideration the recent waves of these Shi'ites members. They seems to get more bold as scores of them are killed, I just have a very bad feeling about them and this has nothing to do with 2019 elections though. This is fear in me speaking though.

I will surely be buying only after a downward trend of prices (hopefully) or end of November, whichever comes first.

This is only my plan and is based mainly on instincts and precedence. Make person no take am as advice shaaa, e don fail me before in 1938.

NIGERIA STOCK MARKET GENERAL COMMENT/MSCI NIGERIA PORTFOLIO MOVEMENT - AS AT 30 OCTOBER 2018

MSCI Nigeria portfolio, still inactive as at 30 October 2018.

For today expected High is 33,553.96 low at 32,804.96. Purpose of these levels is just to gauge the daily trend of the closing prices. It does not mean the closing prices have to close at these prices precisely.

With the quarterly results now getting exhausted, the market is likely to return the pre-earnings release trend.

However, it is now time to reposition ourselves against the year end. There is still the possibility of making quick gains in this market. We are not to be in a hurry. Now our attention will be in those equities that will deliver by year end. With the 3rd quarter results we should be able to gauge this and exclude some equities from our portfolio for the time being. Don’t buy just because price is low, let there be some fundamentals behind our stock picks.

In view of the fact that some additional information on our postings will now be added, you can check our twitter handle “Target Technical Analysis”.

2. The fund will still hold some equity, the terms of service states this. Thus no matter the condition of the market, it will not liquidate to Zero. This is an equity fund investing in the Nigeria market.

3. You cannot bear losses like the fund. The pocket of the fund is too deep. Therefore, as an individual you are not suppose to be in the market during the stock market crash. Before or during the crash, reduce your holding.

4. If you are seeing this type of data on MSCI for the first time. You may need to verify the figures. Go to my previous posts (https://www.nairaland.com/yok/posts), you will see the various sources where the data can be verified.

The sharp rise in employees benefit which was almost 100% wiped off their income. I believe the management hid under that umbrella.
