galala123:Considering that we had our undergraduate studies in English Language and that Nigeria is even an English-speaking language, can't an official document from my school indicating that i was taught in English suffice? |

Good day all. First I want to thank everyone that has been contributing to this forum. You all are well appreciated. I just got my medical call up, after applying a second time for a student visa. I believe we will all get to the finish line with reasons to celebrate. In my previous application, I ensured I ticked all the boxes required. I had one yr tuition paid, had the required amount in my dom acc, provided my sponsors supporting docs, bank statement etc. Wrote a good enough SOP and also provided land doc gifted to me as “home tie” but unfortunately I was denied based on home ties, travel history and purpose of visit. I didn’t request for my GCMS note, because I didn’t have the time. In my follow up application the docs I changed were both my bank statement and that of my sponsor to reflect current balance and a new SOP. In my SOP I highlighted the reasons why I was denied in my previous application and I addressed each accordingly. I think it’s very important to point out valid reasons why you are going for your program and what you intend to do afterwards. Also point out why it took this long to take a decision to study overseas, how you’ve been of assistance to your family here no matter how little and how you look forward to coming back home to do more for both your family and society. I should also mention that I wrote to CIC during my wait period for update. You won’t blame me, it was over 3months that I had applied. Lastly, I trusted God to have his way no matter the outcome. I have booked my Medicals. Next will be looking up tickets ( the prices are scary, MUST I BOOK ROUND TRIP ? ) Best regards |

Don't be too sure. Purpose of Visit could be due to something he/she wrote in their SOP or application. Always insist on GCMNOTES. makano: |

OFFICIALAEL:Wow this is a great news! It's been a while I heard from you. I can remember when your previous application was denied and how you planned giving up on your Canadian dream for US study visa. You were encouraged by the house not to give up but to give it a trial the last time. I am happy to hear the whole struggle paid off at the end. Congratulations brother. To your question, you can book one way trip, but it appears that round trip are cheaper. Congratulations OFFICIALAEL |

OFFICIALAEL:Congrats. One way ticket is fine. Great prices on the 24th of December. Check Nearby airports as I had to book to Winnipeg Airport instead of Brandon as the price is significantly lower. You can then find your way to your final destination by bus or train (ground transportation) if your case is similar to mine. Winter start? |

Good day everyone. Kindly put me through on this. I hope to apply for a Canadian Study Visa (will be attending MUN). I am married and I have 2 kids. My cousin (Canadian citizen) promised to stand in as my sponsor with her bank statement for the visa application. Though we both have an agreement that she won't be sponsoring me. I'd source funds for the 1st semester fees before I leave, after which I'd rely on paying subsequent fees from whatever jobs I'm able to get once I'm issued a work permit. The challenge I have here is that I really cannot have more than 200k in my savings account, and someone was saying that as a married man, its not possible for me to get a visa while presenting documents that shows a family member is going to sponsor me. He said my marital status makes it difficult bc they'd expect me to sponsor myself. Can someone help to clarify this? This is my true situation and I'd like to learn from those who have had similar experiences. Thanks And also, Pls is it compulsory that i pay the tuition before dropping my study visa application? I have been hearing different opinion, that's why and I'm a lil bit confused. kindly educate me on this |

ibbravura:Please may I know how you pay for Dalhousie acceptance fee while in Nigeria? The only option available is WU Global Business and my Banks(1st Bank and zenith) doesn’t offer such facility. I’m paying $2500 which I have to pay this week. |

It is NOT mandatory you pay fees before application, but you stand on higher ground if you do, but never count on it. Please Don't declare your intention on a Social media, "Say you agree you wont be sponsored". keep that to ursef. If you are married and you want to study abroad living your family behind,... 1. You stand a Good home ties. 2. You have a high hurdle to explain how that Family you leaving behind will be supported, because you are going to school not work. You cant travel or apply with a saving account that just have 200k (if i get you right), your cousin can only stand in for your accommodation and other things over there, unless he has a very well paid Job, she cant sponsor your education. I will advise you stay back to work hard and save money, but if you feel you can try, please go ahead. You need to show alot of Money my brother , For your education and what you are leaving behind, you cant put your family in stress panic because you want to travel for education, an Average VO will reason. In the case of being sponsored, no need using a sponsor, You can go for a loan that you will repay in years as you study, a better option for your status. QED. MosesOK40: |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Senatorkolade: 3:52pm On Oct 31, 2018 |
MosesOK40:Anybody can sponsor you provided you show a verifiable relationship with you and a reasonable reason why she is sponsoring you. Also, the burden is you to show that your sponsor can still cater to her own family while sponsoring you. BUT YOUR QUESTION ON FAKING A SPONSOR IS NOT FOR THIS FORUM. WE CANT GIVE AN ADVICE ON BEING UNRIGHTEOUS WITH VISA APPLICATION. Yes, you are allowed to work for limited number of hours (20 hrs) a week during the school term and 40 hrs during the break but to be candid with you, it won't be enough to cater for your needs in Canada. So you need to have your funds readily available so as to be a genuine student. |

Paul4canada:Sorry about your delay @Paul4Canada. You can reapply again after getting your gcms notes. It doesn't stop you from applying to Ireland schools cus they run recursive admissions. A good choice though but you must start early. I doubt if the process too is faster than Canadas'. Theirs take 1-3months. But make sure you apply online to Canada so they don't hold you back for any reason. God is your strength, we also here waiting for ours. God's Willn it shall end in praise. #PrayerMode. |

Approval Alert ! I want to thank everyone in this forum. My wife’s SP and son’s TRV just got approved and PPR sent. She’s 40years! Never too late to study. She had BSC sociology (2002) over 16years study gap. Another Bachelor Degree in Public Health, Almighty UNIVERSITY OF LETHBRIDGE! Her first ever TRV. I started to follow this group on her behalf since June, but because of some technicalities( about the forms IMM) we opted for an agent. I want to encourage everyone still waiting, Your miracle is on the way. This group helped us a lot and I will always look back. Thanks a lot. Timeline to follow anytime soon. |
