If your application is still on the background checks, I wonder what they are still doing, anyway if you're con-vercent with quora and Twitter or even medium (IRCC) then you will know that Pakistan and Iran are facing worse cause Nah the same London VOs they handle their application.

Those ones they take from 8 months and above still on background checks.

My application is 19weeks and 3days. Eligibility review started 9weeks ago. They made a request for my new letter of offer 2weeks ago which I submitted immediately. Since then I've been sending urgent emails and no response from them. This is really bad. I didn't meet up for fall cos of their delay and had to defer to winter, yet nothing from them. They're just unreasonably wicked. God will judge this people and it shall end in praises for me and those expecting TRV. Amen

Mine is 21 weeks today
Still on background check
Eligibility review hasn’t started
Upfront medicals passed oct 3rd
It’s really sad

Did you send your unfront medical before or after you submitted your application?

I'll advice you order your CAIPS File, so as to know the stage your application is presently in. You can't continue to remain calm, while your application is gradually heading to 6 months in few weeks time and your eligibility review hasn't started.

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Helena92: 12:49pm On Nov 07, 2018
Hi all, i have been a silent reader for sometime now, my application had been since july 7 and although my situation was a little different since i had submitted my passport since september 13, i got a response today.
what i did differently was to log a complaint via the webform where i stated that my application had been pending since july 7th and attached my new letter of admission for winter admission since due to the delay i was unable to resume the fall admission

i got a mail from lagos immigration this morning that my application had been finalised and sent to vfs

i am writting this for the people whose applications have passed processing time, i think you should also try thisroute and attach your new letter of admissions too

all the best guys

Since the application hasn't been refused yet, is it possible the CAIPS file could come before 30 days?

?

I want you to rephrase ur sentence. Its actually Canadian Application is one of the worst in the world for Nigerian applicants. Other countries do not take this long before they get a decision. Even some African countries get decisions in few weeks..

It means you have between when your got the letter to 17/07/2020 to travel to Canada to obtain your study permit. Meaning your Visa(for travelling) has a validity of two years. Your study permit will count from when it is issued at the point of entry in Canada.

Paper or online route?

Mine is a little over 22 weeks but I was asked to submit my passport and I did that on September 21/22. I can’t remember. But it was on a Friday. Online application btw. Cause I had been going to VFS for over two weeks and their server was down. They’ll give me a new appointment date, and that’s when rain will disturb their server again so I did it online
