veecovee: Pastor Vee, I dont agree that people are making fun, if you say they are somehow sarcastic, yes. Reason is that more than enough warnings were given here about diamond and it is expected that no one should be caught unaware. What will anyone gain at the loss of revenue of others by the way? 12k loss xtyday, 11k today. Not good at all. 1 Like |

A member asked recently about the situation in apapa before concluding an investment decision. This is fresh on bloomberg.com https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-11-13/bribes-beatings-and-gridlock-at-ports-choke-nigeria-s-economy It’s taken a toll on the companies of Aliko Dangote, Africa’s richest man. Dangote Cement Plc, Nigeria’s biggest listed firm, may cancel plans to build an export terminal at Apapa because of the congestion, Chief Executive Officer Joe Makoju said on a call with investors last month. Dangote Sugar Refinery Plc blamed a fall in third-quarter profit partly on the bottleneck there, which it said was leading to more smuggling of sugar through Nigeria’s land borders. |

veecovee: This is pretty basic - https (secure) means data exchange between client and server is secure. otherwise it is not. Actually, this started yesterday, chrome reported the https as in insecure (? expired/unverifyable security certifacte). I ditched chrome and used firefox which was ok. However, firefox caught up today. To log in today, i had to use the unsecure protocol (http), at my risk though! This is my area, so i know what i am talking of! 3 Likes |

veecovee: This should explain it better to you. What is HTTPS, and why do you need it? HTTP stands for hypertext transfer protocol. It’s a protocol that allows communication between different systems. Most commonly, it is used for transferring data from a web server to a browser to view web pages. The problem is that HTTP (note: no "s" on the end) data is not encrypted, and it can be intercepted by third parties to gather data being passed between the two systems. This can be addressed by using a secure version called HTTPS, where the "S" stands for secure. This involves the use of an SSL certificate -- "SSL" stands for secure sockets layer -- which creates a secure encrypted connection between the web server and the web browser. Without HTTPS, any data passed is insecure. This is especially important for sites where sensitive data is passed across the connection, such as ecommerce sites that accept online card payments, or login areas that require users to enter their credentials.
