Good morning Gurus in the house
My school Unizik have a policy of sending Transcript to School you are applying to themselves thereby denying you the opportunity of having your Transcript
This affects me right now because i want to apply to more than one school and for the school to send Transcripts to them all means i will have to pay 25k each for any school I'm applying to In US
Pls what do you advice i do?

This is what you should do. Request for a student copy of your transcript from your school but if they still refuse get a lecturer from any university apart from your school submit his office address to your school claiming you are applying for your masters in that school, after which you go claim it yourself once your school have sent it.
Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 14 by martAKINOLA(m): 10:17am On Nov 16, 2018
The transcript is alright but make sure you present it as a form of a conversation to the VO and always remember to smile, that's what gears the conversation spirit in you
Sammy1210:
Hello house.
Please id love for the gurus to evaluate my transcript and tell me where i can improve. Thank you!

VO: Good morning, pass me your passport and I20
me: Good morning ( passes both to him)
VO: where are you going to
me: I am going to the University of Bleep for my Masters degree program in Construction management.
VO: okay what is your study plan
Me: I would be taking 36 credit hour courses divided into fundamental and advanced skill courses. i'll be taking courses such as budget planning, six-sigma, green and sustainable construction, LEED certification as well as lean thinking application in construction
VO: how many schools did you apply to.
ME: I applied to 4 schools and I got admitted to all apart from one.
VO: so why are this university
Me: Apart from the fact that the university offers a concentration in construction management which is rare, the construction management programme offers courses in geeen and sustainable construction which is an area am very interested in. I was also given in state tuition priviledges.
VO: How did you find this school.
Me: I first found out about this school through a journal on green and sustainable construction and I made further research through Education USA, looked up the specific courses been offered and decided it was a good fit for me and my career path.
VO: what was your undergraduate degree in and what year did you graduate
me: I had my Bsc in Building Technology in 2015 from Bleep University.
VO: What have you been doing since you graduated.
Me: I immediately went for my mandatory NYSC program where I worked at the Ministry of works in Bleep state. After that I was employed at Bleep interiors for a period of 11 months before heading to HJB environmental designs where I work as a resident builder currently.
VO: What is your work about.
Me: as the resident builder of the firm, my duties include preparing buildability and maintainability reports, Bills of quantities, Work schedule programs, Construction methodology and Health& safety analysis amongst others.
VO: Who would be sponsoring this.
Me: My Uncle who has been responsible for my education would be sponsoring this.
VO: why would he be sponsoring you.
Me: Aside from the fact that he is capable and willing, he has been the major driving force behind my education and has been responsible for it since my high school.
VO: What does he do
Me: He works as a process engineer at Mobil Nigeria.
VO: What would this degree do for you
Me: The construction industry is beginning to experience a shift toward green and LEED certified buildings and there are few people who are competent enough to undertake such projects. Earning this degree would give me a competitive edge above other construction managers and allow me to pick up a higher role in my current place of work when i return to Nigeria.
VO: Did you take any tests?
Me: Yes, I took the GRE and TOEFL.

Good morning people wey sabi please I need your input on this matter
I got admission in us last year I booked appointment for an interview, I cancelled the appointment due to insufficient fund on my sponsors account.
so fast forward to 2018 my cousin will be my sponsor now my concerns are
1. The international passport I used in the previous application has Dubai, Ghana Benin travel history in which I sated in d formal Ds 160 form but that same passport got missing due to an attacked on transit early this year.
The passport I now intend to use doesn't have any travel history won't this be a red flag
2.i stated in d previous form that I don't have a relative in the state but now if I fill in that my uncle is a Citizen tru diversity lottery won't that be issue too please advice me.

CptCharlesVane:

Nope, make no mistake, I do not NEED this like you might assume. You've been here way longer than I have been and will be after I'm done. You are getting some sort of benefit from your self-conceived selflessness, even if it is only validation otherwise you wouldn't be here. Besides, even if I need the thread does it therefore mean that you should respond to people with smug or get irritated about questions. I'm sure that's a very grown-up thing to do.

I'm beginning to notice patterns here, you don't like being challenged grin it can get you angry. Nice. Let me re-iterate what I've been saying all along before you suggested I 'grow up.' Perhaps because you think all prospective graduate students are children or none the wiser. YOUR SELF-PROFESSED LOVE FOR PROSPECTIVE GRADUATE STUDENTS DOES NOT GIVE YOU THE LICENSE TO LOOK DOWN ON THEM NOR GET 'IRKED' BY LEGITIMATE QUESTIONS, ESP ONE THAT WAS NOT EVEN DIRECTED TO YOU. THAT ATTITUDE IS CONDESCENDING AND YOU SHOULDN'T CONTINUE DOING IT. Perhaps, I cannot make a suggestion to you because I'm a prospective graduate student who needs the US Visa thread cheesy grin

that I subtly promote indolence? and here you go again that I need to grow up to what, if I may ask? To your level of looking down on or getting irritated by people who have legitimate questions? No thank you. You see why I said perhaps you need a break, why should anyone, of all things, be irritated by that question?

There are two sides to this and what important is how it is balances out .

On one side , information is everything and having the right information/ insight can be extremely beneficial . There is a family I know personally, about 15 years ago one of them got a full ride scholarship to Lincoln University in PA . On getting there, that one has shown over 20 people in that extended family the way . As in all the cousins and even family friends went to Lincoln on full ride scholarship and now have settled down easily in the US, and two eventually went on to be doctors . It all started with one person who showed the rest

Also I have seen that pattern in Howard University years ago. Howard had a very clear and good full ride scholarship. The ones who knew dragged a lot of their family members there and a lot are doing well . So having seen it with my two eyes I am always a supporter of sharing such information. Even when anyone talks about funding, I always say go to nairaland use the search button and find past Interview on funding to guide you on potential school . Even here ESTU became a popular choice due to info on their funding program .

That been said, Nobody wants to encourage laziness or handholding others. Some don’t want to put in any work but waiting for others so they just tag along.

That's your acceptance packet. Have you submitted financial documents? For my school, I received acceptance letter then I-20 separately.
Hello, I will like to know if it's compulsory to send financial documents as I am hoping for a graduate assistantship. And can you give me an idea of how much the tuition deposit is and if there is a deadline for it when one gets admitted? Thanks.

Vo: what would you be doing after Saint rose
Me:I'd go back to my country after graduation to work as a lab physician in a hospital owned by family and also manage my parents properties as the only child.
N/b i was previously denied because I wasn't able to convince the vo of my intent to return after grad

What do you guys think does this really show a strong tie? .... I need answers my interview is fast approaching!!!!!!

When you post half story then it difficult to advice.... either post the full transcript or state what your first and second degree is in and what you been doing since graduation

Hello everyone first I must say thank you to everyone in this group.. Been following up since 2016 first time applying for us visa been denied Canada visa way back before I was advised to go to USA instead... Getting my us visa was quite different... My interview was on July 11th

Vo: what program?
Me:hospitality management

Me: they have one of the best educational system in the world and I also mentioned something about benefit of using the certificate worldwide..
Vo: how did u hear about this school?
Me: from the owner of my trade school
Vo: what do you do now?
Me: I teach empowerment program to women who wants to start a little business
Vo: any English exam
Me: no but I was told I would be taking am English at mine first study year
Vo: who is sponsoring you?

Vo: (start to the type ooooo* than brings out a white Paper) this is want I you to do for me send the documents of your shipment from USA and any other country to Nigeria the original, with statement of account and point of sale... (handled me over my passport and documents you don't have to come back send everything with the white paper together at once thought DHL and she gave me where to send them too)

So in a week I sent them all the documents and I didn't hear from them for about 6 weeks and finally i received an email from them asking me to change me resumption date to January which I did then emailed them back and was told to send my passport and that's how I got my visa... All I can say is God really God o..... The day I went for interview I was told not to answer people asking for to help me the only advice was told was to me very confident with no sign of fear also if your sponsor is a car dealer use another occupation that's the person at DHL told me that's why mine took all....

Please I don't understand the last paragraph of this. Can you explain further?
