I got positive assessment from EA with no experience, eventhough I have 5years experience. Their explanation is that my reference letter doesn't include my job roles. Now I have got a reference with my roles, should apply for relevant experience assessment or should I go to EOI stage?

Go to the EOI stage and apply with what you have. Then apply to EA for relevant experience, once the outcome is out, update your EOI.

Please what if ITA comes out for him before EA re-evalution result? I'm asking because I'm in a similar situation.

The end result is to get an ITA. You don't need the experience anymore as you will submit application based on the EOI.

Sorry, you don't understand my question. Or maybe I didn't ask well.

If his ITA comes up before his re-evaluation result, that means, his re-evalution result (which includes his job experience) will not be considered by DHA. It also means all his years of experience will be rendered invalid, right?

That means entering Australia in a seemingly “fresh graduate mode”, right?

Will it affect the cadre he is placed in in his job is Australia? Will it affect his pay?

Or does everyone (experienced or not) start on the same level once they enter Australia?

Just in case you're still dragging feet on moving to Australia, know that with every passing day, there are people mounting pressure on the government to drastically reduce immigration.

"Scott Morrison flags cutting migration in response to population concerns

Scott Morrison has flagged cutting migration as part of his government’s long-telegraphed overhaul of population policy, but the prime minister says the cut has to be managed carefully.

He used a speech on Monday night to signal a reduction in the current cap, which he suggested would be the inevitable consequence of the states playing a more proactive role in determining future capacity.

He used the Project Sydney Bradfield Oration – a News Corp event – to say that the government intended to “move away from top-down discussions about population to set our migration intake caps” and that would lead to “a reduction in our current migration settings”.

Migration levels are already almost 30,000 a year below the current cap. Australia accepted just 162,417 permanent migrants in the past year, a decrease of more than 10% on the previous year and the lowest level in a decade.

The prime minister said the number would be lower in the next 12 months as a consequence of the adjustments. Population growth was essential for economic success, he said, but voters in Australia’s biggest cities “are concerned about population”.

“They are saying: enough, enough, enough. The roads are clogged, the buses and trains are full. The schools are taking no more enrolments.

I hear what you are saying. I hear you loud and clear. That’s why we need to improve how we manage population growth in this country.”

But while signalling the reduction, Morrison stressed the benefits of migration to the Australian economy, and said the winding back must not “disadvantage those states that are looking for greater growth and that we have the mechanisms in place to direct new migrants to the areas where there are the jobs, services and opportunities”.

“That’s why the planning partnership with the states is so important,” Morrison said.

The prime minister said Australia needed steady population growth to sustain economic growth, particularly over the next three decades as the ageing of the population impacts of workforce participation.

He said migrants were younger on average, and mainly employed. “Without migration, Australia’s workforce would be shrinking by 2020. With migration, the Productivity Commission estimates that labour force participation will be around 10% higher in 2060.”

Morrison also stressed the economic benefits associated with temporary migration. “This year, we have almost 600,000 foreign students studying in Australia. From the cafes of Glebe and the bars of Parramatta, to the computer stores of Canberra and the laundromats of Coffs Harbour, these students are supporting jobs.”

Work on an overhaul of the program began under Malcolm Turnbull, partly in response to positioning within Liberal party ranks promoted by concern about bleeding electoral support to insurgent rightwing parties such as One Nation."

@Flyca,

All what you raised have been addressed many times. Please do read the thread as I wouldn't be able to re-type them.

Summary, your work experience assessment has nothing to do with your opportunities or the type of work you can do.

@Flyca, what oga bellong is saying is this:

The importance/relevance of getting those work experience is to acquire migration points, which in turn is to get Invitation To Apply ITA (Higher points mean quicker ITA, got it?).

Once ITA is gotten, the points become irrelevant, as DHA will be more focused on the genuineness of your application and documents submitted.

It's good to post once in a while mhen.

oga Bellong I greet ooo...

Good Afternoon,

Please I have a few questions

My skills set falls under the subclass 190 with the AIMS category(HR manager). I've been at my current place of employment for 3yrs+.
Prior to that I worked elsewhere to 6months, and before that I was elsewhere for 2yrs.
Here's my question, I only have an official offer letter from my current workplace and I have payslips, tax card, pension and all.
However I don't have anything from my previous place of employment except bank statement because they were basically start-ups. Can I still claim them?

Also, hope it's okay to do the PTE exam as opposed to IELTS?

Other information about me;
Age: 27
Qualification: BSc

I'd really appreciate all the advise I can get. Thank you

Please regarding payslip, is it the payslip of your current place of work or for all the places that you have worked?

Need help, thanks.

From your profile, there is no occupation I can think of that matches your skill. Canada has more occupations to choose from that will fit your experience.

However, you can nominate customer service manager for visa subclass 489 in South Australia. To get this, having 20 points in English is non-negotiable to be able to meet the minimum point of 55 for the subclass.
Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by bellong: 11:29am On Nov 21, 2018
@cc77,

For a start, you need to read the thread so you have understanding of what you are doing.

1. Age: 25points
Qualification: 15points.
Experience: you can get up to 10points depending on your capacity to substantiate all your work from 2012-date.

2. Your wife doesn't have to write the IELTS. However, in recent times some CO have been requesting that dependent write the exam to proof functional English rather than presenting evidence of studying in English which is the norm. It doesn't hurt if she writes the exam to save time. She doesn't need high score for functional English.

3. Refer to 2 above.

Hello house,

Quick update:

So I left naija 15th Nov., the winches at airport didn't have power over me but for overweight. Had to return some books and garri.

Arrived Oz Brisbane 17th Nov. 6a.m., passing through Aussie immigration was smooth. Got to baggage pick up, Lo n behold my bags were no where to be found.
Lodged my complaints at the Emirates counter, they couldn't still track the current location of the bags. Filled a form and they promised they will locate and update me within 24hrs.

Yellow custom cards I prefilled for declaration were marked with missing bags symbol (dropped the key to the padlocks with Emirates staff), so I passed customs with my hand luggage only.

Sunday evening while asleep, my bags arrived. I think only the Herb (agbo) was taken out by customs. But to my surprise, a total luggage that I had to arrange and rearrange to come to a combined 46-48kg in lagos was weighed as a combined 43kg at Oz airport. My thought:

The scale at lagos airport has been altered to favour the carrier/Sahcol (thieves) or something as been removed from my bags (which I can't think of at the moment). I will go with the former.

My landing brouhaha aside.

Weather has been fine, haven't been able to open bank accounts and ATO for now cause I'm yet to land in my state of Sponsorship " Tasmania". Heading to Tasmania next week, been applying to jobs from here, reject mails coming like breeze; no local experience as reason.

All in all, this country is sane and beautiful. Mwah

Also, Did anyone get a positive outcome with VETASSES using a solicitor being that the person is self-employed find attached for proper explanation of my question?.

if you are self-employed, you are required to provide the following:

a) Evidence of self-employment such as sole trading or business registration details and /or official statements issued by your (registered) accountant and/or legal team. The statement from your accountant or solicitor must include the accountant's or solicitor's letterhead, your full name, how long you have been continuously self-employed including official dates in each role, the nature of the business conducted, the signature and contact details of the accountant or solicitor. View Employment Reference for Self-Employment template.

b) Statutory declaration listing your main duties during self-employment;

c) Payment evidence showing regular income from self-employment, such as client invoices together with corresponding bank statements and/ or official taxation records;

d) Supplementary evidence, such as contracts with clients or suppliers, client testimonials, evidence of projects completed etc

1) i can prove the above but i do not have a registered company name, i get contracts based on referrals (international development).
2) can anyone recommend a good solicitor who can can be helpful especially in Writing.

It is better you find alternative. As a self-employed, you are supposed to register your company.
This is nothing for a solicitor to help with.

It is either you are employed by a registered company or you are self-employed with a registered business. Irrespective of evidence of payment, you must be able to show proof that you registered at least a business name for tax purpose.

Do you have evidence of tax payment on your income?
