you've just succeeded in wiping everything on your phone (including musics, pictures and videos) even if u wan flash new rom u no need to wipe internal storage. Nothing spoil sha, go ahead and flash ur rom.

Download the rom you wanna flash and put it in your memory card or you can transfer it to your internal memory via your PC and flash through the custom recovery. You can also use ADB side load. Next time don't wipe internal memory

download the Rom you want to flash and transfer to an SD card, mount the SD card in your recovery then flash away

You can do OTA but you'll lose both TWRP recovery and Root.

Thanks. When I tried OTA, it booted into TWRP recovery mode. I thought the phone could brick. I just flashed lazy flasher and rebooted the system. Should I just go ahead and reboot from recovery mode after update?

So there's this issue I have been experiencing on redmi 5 plus for some time now, hoping for a solution but none yet.

I sometimes experience a screen freeze; that is, the screen just becomes unresponsive for a few seconds.

When it happens, you have to wait for it to become responsive or hit the power button to lock the screen and then unlock again.

It is so annoying when n it happens. It messes with my game play, steals some precious seconds out of my life and yesterday I was unable to pick a call because of it. Thank God the person called again.

The most annoying thing about this is that not all redmi 5 plus users experience this. As per my research on many forums such as miui forum, gsmarena, reddit, xda, etc, I would say about 20% of redmi 5 plus users are experiencing this problem.

over make sense. since yesterday after my post, till now, battery is on 51% i even hotspot this morning to my laptop for like 20 minutes. the battery has improved greatly

Try Arnova mods for Vince. I had no issue at all when i was on vince although i was on miui 10

You mean I should START AFRESH?

The content of one of my apps alone is 1.5gb.

I would need at least 12gb of data to START AFRESH. That is going to cost me like 5k plus.

Might try it next week if I get access to free wifi.


The bootloader fastboot rom reminds me of another problem with the device. It can't enter fastboot.

If I switch off the device and then hold the volume down and power button, it shows the fastboot logo briefly and that's all. Why that behavior, IDK.

I don't use redmi 5plus, so I can't say much.

Try updating to miui 10 and try again
