The bootloader fastboot rom reminds me of another problem with the device. It can't enter fastboot.

If I switch off the device and then hold the volume down and power button, it shows the fastboot logo briefly and that's all. Why that behavior, IDK.

over make sense. since yesterday after my post, till now, battery is on 51% i even hotspot this morning to my laptop for like 20 minutes. the battery has improved greatly

But it's a new phone,,, I tried downloading again now, same message after downloading to 100% . Downloading from web? I don't know how to go about it, I'm not used to updating os, this is the first time I'll be updating my phone . . Is it even neccesary I update it?

If you're on miui 9, update to miui 10

Update!!!



I tried flashing the cam2api after booting into recovery via fastboot.
It was successful according to the message displayed, but after rebooting system, I used the manual camera app to see if everything was ticked green, but unfortunately, they all were marked red.

So I'm thinking prolly I'll flash the recovery image instead before flashing cam2api, instead of just booting into twrp directly from fastboot command.
I hope there's not going to be any disadvantage or bricking after flashing twrp, cuz I may need to update some time later.

Update!!!


This time, I flashed in the dummy file, even flashed the twrp boot into the device, flashed cam2api also.
But upon all, when I used the manual camera compatibility app to check, it still showed red ticks to show that cam2api hasn't been enabled.
And when I tried booting into twrp recovery again by pressing volume up and power button, it booked into stock recovery.
I don't know why the twrp isn't staying
Will I need to flash lazy flasher??

Download TWRP for your device, camera2api.zip, manual camera compatibility test app(play store).

Flash TWRP(You can check Google for steps on how to do this) , then boot into TWRP by pressing the vol+ and power buttons simultaneously, click on install, locate the camera2api.zip file you downloaded earlier and click on it to flash. After successfully flashing it, you will reboot your phone and check if camera2api is enabled with the MANUAL CAMERA COMPATIBILITY TEST APP. You will need to have something like the pics below
